[origin: WO2022238524A1] The invention relates to an escapement device for a mechanical timepiece comprising an escapement wheel (1) engaging with a balance (2) and a wheel assembly (3). The balance (2) engages with the escapement wheel by locking means and with the balance wheel roller (4) by clearance means. The wheel assembly 3 comprises elastic means and engages with the teeth (1.2) of the escapement wheel (1) by winding means and with the balance wheel roller (4) by impulse means. This compact escapement device is able to provide the balance wheel with a practically constant amount of energy in a variable torque range of the barrel.
