[origin: WO2022245156A1] An aerosol-generating device is disclosed. The aerosol-generating device of the disclosure includes a cartridge having a chamber formed therein to store a liquid, a body coupled to the cartridge, an ambient temperature sensor configured to sense the ambient temperature of the aerosol-generating device, and a controller. The cartridge includes a wick connected to the chamber and a heater configured to heat the wick. The controller updates a calculation equation for use in calculation of the temperature of the heater based on the ambient temperature sensed by the ambient temperature sensor, determines the temperature of the heater based on the updated calculation equation, and adjusts the amount of power supplied to the heater based on the determined temperature of the heater.
