Abstract (en)
The invention describes a computer-implemented method of setting acquisition parameters (AP) for an intended X-ray imaging task (34), which method comprises: providing a local database (20) with information regarding X-ray images and associated acquisition parameters; obtaining a preliminary image (15); inputting the preliminary image (15) to a machine learning algorithm (21) previously trained to identify one or more X-ray images (16<sub>X</sub>) in the image database (20) that exhibit similarity to the preliminary image (15); and outputting the acquisition parameters (16<sub>AP</sub>) of an identified X-ray image (16<sub>X</sub>) as proposed acquisition parameters (AP) for the X-ray imaging task (34). The invention further describes a data processing system (2) adapted to carry out such a method, and an X-ray imaging apparatus (1) comprising such a data processing system (2).
