[origin: WO2022253571A1] The present invention relates to a grinding plate for a grinding disk of a grinding machine, the grinding plate comprising a main body and a hook-and-loop layer having hooks. The main body of the proposed grinding plate comprises a fibre-reinforced plastic, and the hook-and-loop layer comprises an unreinforced plastic. In a second aspect, the invention relates to a method for manufacturing such a grinding plate. The hook-and-loop layer may be injection-moulded as a thin layer of unreinforced plastic onto the main body made of a fibre-reinforced plastic. In particular, the grinding plate may be manufactured in a two-component injection moulding process.
