The disinfecting device (41, 42) has a housing (51) with an inner chamber (61) and at least one radiation source (43) arranged in the inner chamber (61), wherein the radiation source (43) can emit germicidal electromagnetic radiation and wherein a side wall (53, 55, 57, 59) of the housing (51) facing the radiation source (43) is configured as a radiation-transmissive side wall (57). The disinfecting device (41, 42) also has an apparatus (71) arranged in the inner chamber (61) of the housing (51) and at least one radiation measurement sensor (81), wherein the apparatus (71) is arranged between the at least one radiation source (43) and the radiation-transmissive side wall (57), and wherein the apparatus (71) enables the radiation measurement sensor (81) to sufficiently detect a proportion of the radiation emitted by the at least one radiation source (43).
