The invention refers to an elevator system (1) with a shaft (2), at least one car (3) being moveable in the shaft (2) and at least one landing stop (5), wherein a landing door (6) is located at the landing stop (5) in a wall (2.1, 2.2) of the shaft (2), wherein the landing door (6) separates the shaft (2) from a landing area (5), wherein the landing door (6) has at least one door leaf (8.1, 8.2) and at least one side jamb (7.1, 7.2), wherein the side jamb (7.1, 7.2) forms a housing (10) for stationary installation of a control unit (15) for controlling operation of the elevator system (1), wherein the housing (10) has exactly one pivotable hatch (11) for accessing the control unit (15), wherein the hatch (11) is accessible from the landing area (5) and wherein the hatch (11) is detachable from the housing (10).
