System for the production of hot or cold water comprising: a water reservoir (1) suitable for supplying water to a thermal conditioning device (B), and/or to a tap (R); a refrigeration unit (4a, 4b) comprising heat exchangers, of which one of the two heat exchanger is immersed in a water receptacle (412); pipes (51, 61, 70, 71, 72) providing communication between the water reservoir (1), the water receptacle, a water network (A), the tap (R) and thermal conditioning devices (B); said system further comprises a box body (P1; P2) containing said refrigeration unit (4a; 4b) and ventilation means (31 and 32) configured to generate an airflow passing through the heat exchangers of the refrigerating unit (4a, 4b).
