At least one active protective means (22) is provided on the impact shield (12) or is formed thereby, and the active protective means (22) can be transferred from a non-activated state to an activated state, such that:- in the non-activated state a rotation of the child's upper body relative to the child's buttocks is enabled, and in the activated state this is not enabled or is only enabled to a limited extent, and/or- in the non-activated state a shifting of the child in the direction of travel is enabled, and in the activated state this is not enabled or is only enabled to a limited extent.
