Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2022263419A1] In a device for treating water, a rotationally symmetrical cavitation chamber is provided which has a concave inner wall and a first volume region, and at least one water inlet, via which water flows tangentially into the first volume region of the cavitation chamber, is connected to the first volume region. The first volume region transitions into a second volume region which has a convex inner wall, and the second volume region adjoins a third volume region of the cavitation chamber, said third volume region having a concave inner wall again. A larger inner diameter is maintained in the first volume region than in the second volume region, and the inner diameter of the third volume region is greater than the inner diameter of the second volume region again. A hollow cylindrical discharge is guided through the entire cavitation chamber in the central longitudinal axis thereof, said discharge having at least one inlet opening for water in the third volume region and a connection for a discharge line for purified water outside of the cavitation chamber.
