A washing machine comprises: a cabinet; a tub arranged in the cabinet; a drain pump which is connected to the tub; and a filter device which is provided to filter the water flowing from the drain pump, wherein the filter device comprises: a filter housing; a filter which is rotatably coupled to the filter housing, and has a first filter portion and a second filter portion provided to collect garbage having different size from the first filter portion; and a filter driving device configured to rotate the filter.
