The front wheel arches of the motor vehicle body are at least partly formed by a lateral wall of the motor vehicle. A component with a three-dimensional structure is produced from a flat semi-finished metal product by means of a deforming process, wherein the component forms at least one part of the end wall. The component produced by means of the deforming process forms at least a majority of the end wall with respect to the surface of the projection of the end wall in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle and extends at least over sub-regions of the two front wheel arches of the motor vehicle body.
