[origin: WO2022268513A1] The invention relates to a machine tool with a motor, wherein the motor comprises a rotor and a stator, and wherein the stator comprises a first winding and a second winding, wherein the windings are designed in such a manner that the windings permit operation of the motor of the machine tool at a substantially full rotational speed, but at substantially half power in comparison to the comparison motor. In the case of the comparison motor, a continuous wire layer winds substantially completely around the stator coils. In further aspects, the invention relates to a method for operating such a machine tool and to a method for carrying out charging equalization between two rechargeable batteries in a machine tool. The double-wound stator can be used here in conjunction with a bridge circuit consisting of motor inverters and stator coils to enable charging equalization between two rechargeable batteries in a machine tool.
