[origin: WO2023274699A1] The invention relates to the production of a hard PU or PIR foam, comprising bringing at least one organic polyisocyanate having two or more isocyanate functions into contact with an isocyanate-reactive mixture which comprises at least one polyol, water and at least one emulsifier, wherein: the emulsifier comprises at least one alkoxylated aromatic alcohol; the underlying aromatic alcohol comprises at least 6 and at most 40 C atoms and at least one OH function; and a maximum of 1/5 of the C atoms of the underlying aromatic alcohol are not aromatic; and, in the underlying aromatic alcohol, at least one aromatic unit must have an OH function.
