[origin: WO2023281043A1] The invention relates to a method for the state-based maintenance of a coupling arrangement (1) of a railbound vehicle (2), comprising: a) providing coupling arrangement data (KAD) in the form of operating data and optionally state data regarding the coupling arrangement; b) providing surroundings data (UD) for describing information regarding the environmental conditions to which the coupling arrangement (1) is exposed; c) transmitting the provided data (KAD, UD) to a data processing system (5) and determining a target specification (Xsoll) for a maintenance requirement of the coupling arrangement (1) as a function of the provided coupling arrangement data (KAD) and surroundings data (UD); d) recording images (AB) of the coupling arrangement (1) in order to optically render the actual state and transmitting said images to the data processing system (5); e) evaluating the optical actual state of the coupling arrangement (1) from the images (AB) taking into account the target specification (Xsoll), formed from the operating data and state data, in particular coupling arrangement data (KAD) and surroundings data (UD), for the maintenance requirement at an evaluation time and correcting (XK) the target specification (Xsoll) for the maintenance requirement on the basis of the evaluation.
