Abstract (en)
There is provided a cap 2 for a fluid storing container 1. The cap is generally annular in shape. The cap comprises:an outer wall 21 defining an axial bore B, the outer wall 21 providing a first opening 211 at one end of the axial bore B and a second opening 212 at the other end of the axial bore B, the outer wall 21 having an internal thread 216 configured to engage with an external thread 13 of a neck 12 of a fluid-storing container 1 when the neck 12 is inserted into the second opening 212; andan inner portion 23 extending from the outer wall 21 within the axial bore B, the inner portion 23 being radially spaced from at least a portion of the outer wall 21 such that the neck 12 of the container 1 is receivable in a space between the inner portion 23 and the outer wall 21;at least one holding thread 241 which protrudes into the space between the inner portion 23 and the outer wall 21 such that an annular liner 5 is receivable in the space between the inner portion 23 and the outer wall 21 of the cap 2, and axially between the at least one holding thread 241 and an axial end of the space between the inner portion 23 and the outer wall 21 of the cap 2, the at least one holding thread 241 having the same pitch as the internal thread 216 on the outer wall 21 of the cap 2.
