[origin: WO2022248777A1] The invention relates to a method for implementing an ultrasound scanner comprising an ultrasound probe for scanning a relevant area of the human body, wherein a drive means including a stepper motor and a member carrying a transducer element are controlled so that, by means of the transducer element, an echo line is picked up, an imaging algorithm is implemented, and image points along an arc at a given depth of two series of successive forward and return echo lines are analysed so as to determine angular offset information of the image points of the two successive arcs and to calculate an angular offset of the forward echo lines and the return lines resulting from the operation of the drive means, and the offset is corrected.
