Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2023012749A1] Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. When automatically switching from presenting a service on a first frequency (306) to a second frequency (308) such as when a mobile receiver (300) is moving through a boundary region between two broadcasters (304), the current broadcaster application is notified (804/904/1000) and depending on the context, may continue executing (806) or send (906/1004) data to the new broadcaster application.
