[origin: WO2023000015A1] This invention relates to an electromechanical drop bolt assembly (1) for securing a door panel (2) relative to a door surround (3). The electromechanical drop bolt assembly (1) includes a housing (4), a bolt (7) which is movable relative to the housing and a powered actuator (19) that is operable to move the bolt (7). The powered actuator (19) includes a motor (35) that is operable to move the bolt (7) between a retracted position and an extended position and a biasing means (44) that urges the bolt (7) towards the retracted position.
