[origin: WO2023001344A1] The invention relates to a stator of an electric drive unit according to the subject matter of claim 1 or 2 and to a method for producing said stator according to the subject matter of claim 13 or 14. The stator for an electric drive unit comprises: - a stator core, on which at least one stator pole for holding coils is formed; - a first insulating cap and a second insulating cap, at least one contact plate being disposed at least in the first and/or second insulating cap; - a stator winding, which is made of a continuous winding wire and forms the coils; wherein, on the at least one contact plate, at least one contacting element is formed, which holds the winding wire of the stator winding, the contacting element comprising a contacting region and a conducting region, the conducting region being oriented in an axial direction in the first and/or second insulating cap, and the contacting region protruding from the first and/or second insulating cap at least partially in a radial direction.
