This device comprises a control circuit (24) connected to a power circuit (22), said power circuit (22) comprising power semiconductors, said power circuit (22) being designed to be connected in series between the electric-power generator (4) and said electronic equipment item. The control circuit (24) comprises event detection modules (50, 60), a current setpoint variation module (90) and a control module (100) for controlling the power semiconductors, configured to supply a control signal for limiting the electric current in the power circuit (22) on the basis of the current limitation setpoint signal.
