[origin: WO2023016793A1] The invention relates to a centrifuge (1) for separating or clarifying a flowable product or a flowable suspension into at least two phases in a centrifugal field in continuous operation, the centrifuge (1) comprising a rotatably mounted drum (2), which can be driven by means of a drive motor and which has a drum shell made of metal and a vertical axis of rotation (3), the drum (2) having: - a feed tube (4), - at least one paring chamber (5) with a paring disk (8) for leading away clarified or separated liquid, and preferably - a solids discharge. The centrifuge is characterized in that the drum (2) has, above the paring chamber (5), at least two sealing chambers (7, 12), which lie one axially above the other and which each have a sealing disk (9, 14) protruding into the sealing chamber (7, 12) in question, and wherein at least one supply channel (11, 11') for supplying a sealing medium (32) to one of the sealing chambers (7, 12) is provided or, for each sealing chamber, at least one supply channel (11, 11') for supplying a sealing medium to the sealing chamber (7, 12) in question is provided.
