[origin: US2024222827A1] A rat-race balun includes a transmission line loop and 4 input-output ports P1, P2, P3, P4 connected to the transmission line loop, the respective transmission line section between the adjacent ports P1 and P4 is of electrical length 2θ2, of impedance Z3 and is a line section loaded by a capacitor of capacitance C2; where θ2<135 and the following equalities are satisfied:C⁢2=-2⁢tan⁡(θ2)ω⁢ZP⁢1⁢P⁢4⁢tan⁡(2⁢θ2)and⁢Z3=-ZP⁢1⁢P⁢4tan⁡(θ2)w being equal to 2πf, with f the operating frequency, and ZP1P4 being the impedance of the unloaded transmission line section of physical length 3λ/4 equivalent to the loaded line section.

L'invention concerne un balun Rat-Race comprenant une boucle de ligne de transmission et 4 ports d'entrée-sortie P₁, P₂, P₃, P₄ connectés à ladite boucle de ligne de transmission, la section de ligne de transmission respectives entre les ports adjacents P₁ et P₄ est de longueur électrique 2θ₂ , d'impédance Z₃ et est une section de ligne chargée par un condensateur de capacité C2 ; où θ₂ < 135 et les égalités suivantes sont vérifiées : C2=−2tanθ2ωZP1P4tan2θ2 et Z3=−ZP1P4tanθ2w étant égal à 2πf, avec f la fréquence de fonctionnement, et Z_P1P4 étant l'impédance de la section de ligne de transmission non chargée de longueur physique 3λ/4 équivalente à ladite section de ligne chargée.
