[origin: WO2023031286A1] The present invention relates to a plant and a process for the continuous production of ammonia using renewable energy. The plant comprises at least one cracking unit for the catalytic cracking of ammonia. According to the invention, the process ensures that one part of the produced ammonia is catalytically split again, namely when the availability decreases and/or when the amount of renewable energy falls below a minimum amount or when the supply of gaseous hydrogen falls below a minimum amount.
