[origin: WO2023036952A1] The present invention relates to a new palladium-based catalyst on a cerium dioxide substrate, of the formula Pd-X/Ce02, wherein X represents the empty set or a doping agent and its use in the implementation of a method for selectively preparing oxalates or oxamides, from carbon monoxide, an oxidising agent, in particular molecular oxygen or air, and an alcohol or an amine, respectively. In particular, the catalyst can be doped with manganese.
