The device (1) comprises an enclosure (6) accommodating the floating structure (3) and a system (7) for hanging the enclosure (6). The enclosure (6) has a first end (8) and extends from the first end in the direction of the opposite second end, forming a chamber (10) delimited by a solid wall (11) and a porous wall (12) so as to form inside the chamber (10), in the manner of a diving bell, a first space (14) in which air is able to be trapped in the submerged state of the enclosure (6) and a second space (15) inside which the liquid to be monitored can circulate, and the hanging system (7) comprises a suspension rod (16) connected at one end (17) to the enclosure (6) and equipped at its opposite end (18) with a hanging member (19) for keeping the enclosure (6) in the suspended state.
