Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2023046907A1] The invention relates to a seat assembly that has a first seat row (200), which has at least one first seat (1), and a second seat row (300), which is arranged behind the first seat row and has at least one second seat (301). The second seat (301) is located behind the first seat (1), and the first seat (1) has a seating surface (3), which is provided by a seat structure, and a backrest (2). The backrest (2) has a virtually vertical pivot axis (4) and is designed to be pivoted about the pivot axis (4). The backrest (2) comprises two substantially vertically running lateral edges (21, 21), the horizontal connection of which defines a transverse direction and between which a central line (27) of the backrest (2) is defined in the center. According to the invention, the pivot axis (4) is formed by a vertical axis and is arranged in a position which is displaced from the central line (27) of the backrest (2) in the transverse direction. The first seat (1) is designed such that by pivoting the backrest about the pivot axis (4), the seating surface (3) of the first seat (1) is released for a user of the second seat (301) and the user is provided with a free area for individual use.
