    Description

    Technical Field



    [0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle steering apparatus according to the preamble of claim 1, as known from US 2002/060105 A1.

    Background Art



    [0002] Electric power steering apparatus serving as vehicle steering apparatus assist drivers in steering by electric motors. More specifically, various types of sensors and others detect the steering states of steering members, for example, and control devices control electric motors based on the results of the detection of the steering states so that steering assist forces are applied to steering mechanisms.

    [0003] On the other hand, it is proposed that a control device is arranged between an electric motor and a speed reduction mechanism in an axial direction of the electric motor (see, e.g., Patent Document 1).

    [0004] In an electric power steering apparatus in Patent Document 1, a common case is interposed between a motor housing and a gear housing. A motor chamber is defined between the case and the motor housing, and a controller accommodation chamber is defined between the case and the gear housing.

    Disclosure of the Invention


    Problems to be Solved by the Invention



    [0006] In the electric power steering apparatus in Patent Document 1, a control device is attached along an interior wall surface on the motor side within the controller accommodation chamber. The electric motor usually tends to have heat, and the control device is arranged closer to the electric motor. Therefore, heat from a heat generation element in the control device is not easily released outward.

    Means for Solving the Problems



    [0007] The present invention is directed to providing a vehicle steering apparatus that is small in size and is superior in heat radiation properties. The above object is solved by the vehicle steering apparatus of claim 1.

    [0008] According to an aspect of the present invention, a vehicle steering apparatus includes a control device that includes a heat generation element and controls the driving of an electric motor, a control housing that partitions an accommodation chamber that contains the control device, an adjacent housing that is opposite to the electric motor with the control housing sandwiched therebetween and is adjacent to the control housing, and a heat-conducting member, in which the heat-conducting member includes a proximity section in close proximity to the heat generation element in the control device so that heat can be conducted, and a connected section that is connected to the adjacent housing so that heat can be conducted.

    [0009] According to the aspect, heat from the heat generation element in the control device is radiated via the heat-conducting member to not a housing that houses the electric motor that generates heat but the adjacent housing that is opposite to and adjacent to the electric motor, thereby enabling heat radiation properties to be significantly improved.     [0023] Referring to Fig. 1, the electric power steering apparatus 1 includes a steering wheel 2 serving as a steering member, a steering mechanism 4 for steering steerable wheels 3 in synchronization with the rotation of the steering wheel 2, and a steering assist mechanism 5 for assisting a driver in steering. The steering wheel 2 and the steering mechanism 4 are mechanically connected to each other via a steering shaft 6 and an intermediate shaft 7.

The steering mechanism 4 is composed of a rack-and-pinion mechanism including a pinion shaft 13 and a rack shaft 14 serving as a steered shaft. The steerable wheel 3 is connected to each of ends of the rack shaft 14 via a tie rod 15 and a knuckle arm (not illustrated).

    [0027] The pinion shaft 13 is connected to the intermediate shaft 7. The pinion shaft 13 rotates together with the steering of the steering wheel 2. A pinion 16 is provided at a tip end (a lower end in Fig. 1) of the pinion shaft 13.

In the present embodiment, the worm gear mechanism is used as the speed reduction mechanism 19. More specifically, the speed reduction mechanism 19 includes a worm shaft 20 serving as a driving gear (a member that drives the transmission mechanism) and a worm wheel 21 serving as a driven gear (a member that is driven by the transmission mechanism), which meshes with the worm shaft 20. The speed reduction mechanism 19 is housed in a gear housing 22 serving as a transmission mechanism housing.

    1. A vehicle steering apparatus (1) comprising:

    a control device (12) that includes a heat generation element (83) and controls the driving of an electric motor (18);

    a control housing (H) that partitions an accommodation chamber (100) that accommodates the control device (12);

    an adjacent housing (27,18;35A) that is opposite to the electric motor (18) with the control housing (H) sandwiched therebetween, and is adjacent to the control housing (H), wherein the adjacent housing (27, 28; 35A) includes a driving gear housing (27) and a driven gear housing (28), wherein the control housing (H) is disposed between the electric motor (18) and the driving gear housing (27) in an axial direction (X1) of a rotatable shaft (37) of the electric motor, and wherein the driven gear housing (28) is disposed perpendicular to the axial direction (X1) of the rotatable shaft (37) with respect to the driving gear housing (27);

    a transmission mechanism housing (22) that houses a transmission mechanism (19) for transmitting power of the electric motor (18) to a steering mechanism (4), wherein the adjacent housing (27, 18; 35A) includes a housing (27, 28) provided in the transmission mechanism housing (22); the transmission mechanism (19) includes a driving member (20) and a driven member (21) that is driven by the driving member (20), the transmission mechanism housing (22) includes a cylindrical driven member housing (28) that houses the driven member (21); and

    a heat-conducting member (96; 96A; 96B), wherein the heat-conducting member (96; 96A; 96B) includes a heat-conducting proximity section (97) in close proximity to the heat generation element (83) in the control device (12) and a first heat-conducting connected section (99) that is connected to the driving gear housing (27) of the adjacent housing;
    characterized in that

    the heat-conducting member (96) includes a second heat-conducting connected section (98; 98A; 98B) that is connected to the driven gear housing (28) of the adjacent housing, such that the second heat-conducting connected section (98; 98A; 98B) in the heat-conducting member (96; 96A; 96B) is along an outer peripheral surface (28a) of the cylindrical driven member housing (28).


     
    2. The vehicle steering apparatus (1) according to claim 1, wherein
    the control housing (H) includes first and second interior wall surfaces (101, 102) that are opposite to each other in an axial direction (XI) of a rotatable shaft (37) in the electric motor (18),
    the first and second interior wall (101, 102) surfaces partially partition the accommodation chamber (100),
    the first interior wall surface (101) is arranged relatively closer to the electric motor (18), and the second interior wall surface (102) is arranged relatively farther from the electric motor (18),
    the heat generation element (83) in the control device (12) is mounted on a power substrate (78) attached to the second interior wall surface (102) so that heat can be conducted, and
    the proximity section (97) in the heat-conducting member (96; 96A; 96B) is connected to a heat sink (123) connecting to the second interior wall surface (102) so that heat can be conducted
     
    3. The vehicle steering apparatus (1) according to claim 1 or 2, further comprising
    a steering state detecting sensor (11) for detecting a steering state,
    wherein the adjacent housing (27, 28; 35A) includes a sensor housing (35A) that houses the steering state detecting sensor (11).
     
    4. The vehicle steering apparatus (1) according to claim 3, wherein
    a part (24A) of the control housing (H) and the sensor housing (35A) are integrally formed of a single material.
     
    5. The vehicle steering apparatus (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein
    at least a part of the heat-conducting member (96; 96A; 96B) is arranged between the control housing (H) and the adjacent housing (27, 28; 35A).
     
    6. The vehicle steering apparatus (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein
    the control device (12) is arranged around a central axis (CI) of the rotatable shaft (37) in the electric motor (18) or an extension (C2) of the central axis (CI).
     
    7. The vehicle steering apparatus (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein
    the heat-conducting member (96; 96A; 96B) includes a member that extends in a predetermined length L toward the adjacent housing (27, 28; 35A) from the control housing (H), and
    letting A be the cross-sectional area of the member extending in the predetermined length L, p be the coefficient of thermal conductivity of the member extending in the predetermined length L, and B be the average loss of the heat generation element, the following equation holds:


     
    8. The vehicle steering apparatus (1) according to claim 1, wherein
    the control housing (H) includes first and second interior wall surfaces (101, 102) which partially partition the accommodation chamber (100), wherein the second interior wall surface (102) is arranged relatively farther from the electric motor (18) than the first interior wall surface (101),
    a seat section (103) being formed on the second interior wall surface (102),
    a substrate (78) being received by the seat section (103),
    the heat generation element (83) being mounted on the substrate (78), and
    an extension surface (P1) of the seat section (103) contacting or intersecting a cylindrical surface (P2) formed of a principle part of an outer peripheral surface (28a) of the driven gear housing (28).
     


    Ansprüche

    1. Fahrzeuglenkvorrichtung (1), die aufweist:

    eine Steuervorrichtung (12), die ein Element (83) zur Wärmeerzeugung aufweist und die den Betrieb eines elektrischen Motors (18) steuert;

    ein Steuergehäuse (H), das eine Aufnahmekammer (100) unterteilt, die die Steuervorrichtung (12) aufnimmt;

    ein an dem elektrischen Motor (18) gegenüberliegendes Nachbargehäuse (27,18;35A), wobei das Steuergehäuse (H) dazwischen sandwich-artig angeordnet ist, wobei das Nachbargehäuse (27, 28; 35A) benachbart zu dem Steuergehäuse (H) ist, wobei das Nachbargehäuse (27, 28; 35A) ein Gehäuse (27) für ein antreibendes Zahnrad und ein Gehäuse (28) für ein angetriebenes Zahnrad aufweist, wobei das Steuergehäuse (H) in einer axialen Richtung (X1) einer drehbaren Welle (37) des elektrischen Motors (18) zwischen dem elektrischen Motor (18) und dem Gehäuse (28) für das angetriebene Zahnrad angeordnet ist, und wobei das Gehäuse (28) für das angetriebene Zahnrad im rechten Winkel zu der axialen Richtung (X1) der drehbaren Welle in Bezug auf das Gehäuse (27) für das antreibende Zahnrad angeordnet ist;

    ein Gehäuse für einen Übertragungsmechanismus (22), das einen Übertragungsmechanismus (19) aufnimmt, der Leistung des elektrischen Motors (18) an einen Lenkmechanismus (4) überträgt, wobei das Nachbargehäuse (27, 18; 35A) ein Gehäuse (27, 28) aufweist, das in dem Gehäuse für den Übertragungsmechanismus (22) bereitgestellt ist; wobei der Übertragungsmechanismus (19) ein antreibendes Element (20) und ein angetriebenes Element (21) aufweist, das von dem antreibenden Element (20) angetrieben ist, wobei das Gehäuse für den Übertragungsmechanismus (22) ein zylindrisches Gehäuse (28) für das angetriebene Element aufweist, das das angetriebene Element (21) aufnimmt; und

    ein Wärmeleitelement (96; 96A; 96B), wobei das Wärmeleitelement (96; 96A; 96B) in enger Nähe zu dem Element (83) zur Wärmeerzeugung in der Steuervorrichtung (12) einen Nah-Wärmeleitbereich (97) und einen ersten wärmeleitenden verbundenen Abschnitt (99) aufweist, der mit dem Gehäuse für das angetriebene Zahnrad (27) des Nachbargehäuses verbunden ist; dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass

    das Wärmeleitelement (96) einen zweiten wärmeleitenden verbundenen Abschnitt (98; 98A; 98B) aufweist, der mit dem Gehäuse (28) für das angetriebenen Zahnrad des Nachbargehäuses verbunden ist, und zwar so, dass der zweite wärmeleitende verbundene Abschnitt (98; 98A; 98B) in dem Wärmeleitelement entlang einer äußeren peripheren Oberfläche (28a) des zylindrischen Gehäuses (28) für das angetriebene Element verläuft.


     
    2. Fahrzeuglenkvorrichtung (1) nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Steuergehäuse (H) eine erste und eine zweite Innenwandoberfläche (901, 102) aufweist, die einander in einer axialen Richtung (XI) einer drehbaren Welle (37) in dem elektrischen Motor (18) gegenüberliegen,
    die erste und die zweite Innenwandoberfläche (101, 102) die Aufnahmekammer (100) teilweise unterteilen,
    die erste Innenwandoberfläche (101) relativ näher an dem elektrischen Motor (18) angeordnet ist und die zweite Innenwandoberfläche (102) relativ entfernter von dem elektrischen Motor (18) angeordnet ist,
    das Element (83) zur Wärmezeugung in der Steuervorrichtung (12) an einem Leistungssubstrat (78) montiert ist, das an der zweiten Innenwandoberfläche (102) angebracht ist, so dass Wärme geleitet werden kann, und
    der Nah-Bereich (97) in dem Wärmeleitelement (96; 96A; 96B) mit einer Wärmesenke (123) verbunden ist, die mit der zweiten Innenwandoberfläche (102) verbunden ist, so dass Wärme geleitet werden kann.
     
    3. Fahrzeuglenkvorrichtung (1) nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, weiter mit einem Lenkzustandserfassungssensor (11), um einen Lenkzustand zu erfassen, wobei das Nachbargehäuse (27, 28; 35A) ein Sensorgehäuse (35A) aufweist, das den Lenkzustandserfassungssensor (11) aufnimmt.
     
    4. Fahrzeuglenkvorrichtung (1) nach Anspruch 3, wobei
    ein Abschnitt (24A) des Steuergehäuses (H) und das Sensorgehäuse (35A) einstückig aus einem einzelnen Material ausgebildet sind.
     
    5. Fahrzeuglenkvorrichtung (1) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, wobei wenigstens ein Abschnitt des Wärmeleitelements (96; 96A; 96B) zwischen dem Steuergehäuse (H) und dem Nachbargehäuse (27, 28; 35A) angeordnet ist.
     
    6. Fahrzeuglenkvorrichtung (1) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, wobei
    die Steuervorrichtung (12) um eine Zentralachse (C1) der drehbaren Welle (37) des elektrischen Motors (18) oder um eine Verlängerung (C2) der Zentralachse (CI) herum angeordnet ist.
     
    7. Fahrzeuglenkvorrichtung (1) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, wobei das Wärmeleitelement (96; 96A; 96B) ein Element aufweist, das sich in einer vorbestimmten Länge L von dem Steuergehäuse (H) zu dem Nachbargehäuse (27, 28; 35A) erstreckt, und wobei
    A die Querschnittsfläche des sich in einer vorbestimmten Länge L erstreckenden Elements sei, p der Wärmeleitkoeffizient des sich in einer vorbestimmten Länge L erstreckenden Elements sei und B der mittlere Verlust des Elements zur Wärmeerzeugung sei, und die folgende Gleichung gilt:


     
    8. Fahrzeuglenkvorrichtung (1) nach Anspruch 1, wobei
    das Steuergehäuse (H) eine erste und eine zweite Innenwandoberfläche (101, 102) aufweist, die die Aufnahmekammer (100) teilweise unterteilen, wobei die zweite Innenwandoberfläche (102) relativ entfernter von dem elektrischen Motor (18) angeordnet ist als die erste Innenwandoberfläche (101),
    ein Sitzbereich (103) an der Innenwandoberfläche (102) der zweiten Innenwand gebildet ist,
    ein Substrat (78) von dem Sitzbereich (103) aufgenommen ist,
    das Element (83) zur Wärmezeugung an dem Substrat (78) angebracht ist, und
    eine Erweiterungsoberfläche (P1) des Sitzbereichs (103) eine zylindrische Oberfläche (P2) kontaktiert oder schneidet, die aus einem Hauptteil einer äußeren peripheren Oberfläche (28a) des Gehäuses (28) für das angetriebene Zahnrad gebildet ist.
     


    Revendications

    1. Appareil de direction de véhicule (1) comprenant :

    un dispositif de commande (12) qui comprend un élément de génération de chaleur (83) et commande l'entraînement d'un moteur électrique (18) ;

    un boîtier de commande (H) qui délimite un compartiment de logement (100) qui renferme le dispositif de commande (12) ;

    un boîtier adjacent (27, 28 ; 35A) qui est face au moteur électrique (18), le boîtier de commande (H) étant intercalé entre ceux-ci, et qui est adjacent au boîtier de commande (H), le boîtier adjacent (27, 28 ; 35A) comprenant un boîtier de pièce d'engrenage d'entraînement (27) et un boîtier de pièce d'engrenage entraînée (28), le boîtier de commande (H) étant disposé entre le moteur électrique (18) et le boîtier de pièce d'engrenage d'entraînement (27) dans une direction axiale (X1) d'un arbre rotatif (37) du moteur électrique, et le boîtier de pièce d'engrenage entraînée (28) étant disposé de façon perpendiculaire à la direction axiale (X1) de l'arbre rotatif (37) par rapport au boîtier de pièce d'engrenage d'entraînement (27) ;

    un boîtier de mécanisme de transmission (22) qui renferme un mécanisme de transmission (19) servant à transmettre de la puissance du moteur électrique (18) à un mécanisme de direction (4), le boîtier adjacent (27, 28 ; 35A) comprenant un boîtier (27, 28) placé dans le boîtier de mécanisme de transmission (22) ; le mécanisme de transmission (19) comprenant un organe d'entraînement (20) et un organe entraîné (21) qui est entraîné par l'organe d'entraînement (20), le boîtier de mécanisme de transmission (22) comprenant un boîtier d'organe entraîné cylindrique (28) qui renferme l'organe entraîné (21) ; et

    un organe de conduction de chaleur (96 ; 96A ; 96B), l'organe de conduction de chaleur (96 ; 96A ; 96B) comprenant une section proche de conduction de chaleur (97) à proximité immédiate de l'élément de génération de chaleur (83) dans le dispositif de commande (12) et une première section raccordée de conduction de chaleur (99) qui est raccordée au boîtier de pièce d'engrenage d'entraînement (27) du boîtier adjacent ;

    caractérisé en ce que

    l'organe de conduction de chaleur (96) comprend une deuxième section raccordée de conduction de chaleur (98 ; 98A ; 98B) qui est raccordée au boîtier de pièce d'engrenage entraînée (28) du boîtier adjacent, de telle sorte que la deuxième section raccordée de conduction de chaleur (98 ; 98A ; 98B) dans l'organe de conduction de chaleur (96 ; 96A ; 96B) soit située le long d'une surface périphérique extérieure (28a) du boîtier d'organe entraîné cylindrique (28).


     
    2. Appareil de direction de véhicule (1) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le boîtier de commande (H) comprend des première et deuxième surfaces de paroi intérieure (101, 102) qui sont face à face dans une direction axiale (X1) d'un arbre rotatif (37) dans le moteur électrique (18),
    les première et deuxième surfaces de paroi intérieure (101, 102) délimitent partiellement le compartiment de logement (100),
    la première surface de paroi intérieure (101) est disposée relativement plus près du moteur électrique (18), et la deuxième surface de paroi intérieure (102) est disposée relativement plus loin du moteur électrique (18),
    l'élément de génération de chaleur (83) dans le dispositif de commande (12) est installé sur un substrat d'alimentation (78) fixé à la deuxième surface de paroi intérieure (102) de manière à permettre une conduction de chaleur, et
    la section proche (97) dans l'organe de conduction de chaleur (9B ; 96A ; 96B) est raccordée à un dissipateur thermique (123) raccordé à la deuxième surface de paroi intérieure (102) de manière à permettre une conduction de chaleur.
     
    3. Appareil de direction de véhicule (1) selon la revendication 1 ou 2, comprenant en outre
    un capteur de détection d'état de direction (11) servant à détecter un état de direction,
    dans lequel le boîtier adjacent (27, 28 ; 35A) comprend un boîtier de capteur (35A) qui renferme le capteur de détection d'état de direction (11).
     
    4. Appareil de direction de véhicule (1) selon la revendication 3, dans lequel une partie (24A) du boîtier de commande (H) et le boîtier de capteur (35A) sont réalisés d'un seul tenant en un seul matériau.
     
    5. Appareil de direction de véhicule (1) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, dans lequel
    au moins une partie de l'organe de conduction de chaleur (96 ; 96A ; 96B) est disposée entre le boîtier de commande (H) et le boîtier adjacent (27, 28 ; 35A).
     
    6. Appareil de direction de véhicule (1) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, dans lequel
    le dispositif de commande (12) est disposé autour d'un axe central (C1) de l'arbre rotatif (37) dans le moteur électrique (18) ou d'un prolongement (C2) de l'axe central (C1).
     
    7. Appareil de direction de véhicule (1) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 6, dans lequel
    l'organe de conduction de chaleur (96 ; 96A ; 96B) comprend un organe qui s'étend sur une longueur prédéterminée L vers le boîtier adjacent (27, 28 ; 35A) à partir du boîtier de commande (H), et
    sachant que A est la section transversale de l'organe s'étendant sur la longueur prédéterminée L, p est le coefficient de conductivité thermique de l'organe s'étendant sur la longueur prédéterminée L, et B est la perte moyenne de l'élément de génération de chaleur, l'équation suivante est vérifiée :


     
    8. Appareil de direction de véhicule (1) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le boîtier de commande (H) comprend des première et deuxième surfaces de paroi intérieure (101, 102) qui délimitent partiellement le compartiment de logement (100), la deuxième surface de paroi intérieure (102) étant disposée relativement plus loin du moteur électrique (18) que la première surface de paroi intérieure (101),
    une section de siège (103) étant formée sur la deuxième surface de paroi intérieure (102),
    un substrat (78) étant reçu par la section de siège (103),
    l'élément de génération de chaleur (83) étant installé sur le substrat (78), et
    une surface de prolongement (P1) de la section de siège (103) étant en contact ou croisant une surface cylindrique (P2) constituée d'une partie principale d'une surface périphérique extérieure (28a) du boîtier de pièce d'engrenage entraînée (28).
