    Description

    Background



    [0001] Numerous devices, and particularly handheld communication devices, such as mobile telephones, are often manufactured and updated. Each such device requires testing of the device's hardware, software, and communications functionality during and subsequent to the development and design of the device and prior to large scale production and distribution of the new device or of new software to run on a new or legacy device.

    [0002] Conventional testing systems expose and access internal interfaces of a tested device in order to simulate operation of the device according to predetermined test sequences that have been input. However, such operation of the tested device is insufficient since it does not accurately reflect how the device is ultimately used, i.e., by button presses or actuation of other input hardware, such as scroll bars, wheels, or joy sticks. Further, in case of a failure, an operator may have difficulty determining, e.g., for troubleshooting purposes, the precise failure or its cause if the failure occurs during a long unattended test run. Additionally, with respect to communications, the test is incomplete because communication results at a receiving device, to which a communication from the tested device is transmitted during the test, are unknown and because receipt by the tested device of a communication from another device is not tested.

    [0003] Other conventional testing systems provide a robotic arm for performing button presses to simulate use of the tested device. A camera may capture screenshots or short videos of the tested device during the test sequence which may be helpful for troubleshooting. However, even these systems are deficient because of their inability to allow for determining results at another receiving device and their inability to test the tested device's functionality upon receipt of a communication from another device.

    [0004] Additionally, conventional testing systems require tedious and detailed configuration and calibration for each different tested device. This is further exacerbated when a first tested device is removed from the testing system, e.g., to fix a glitch, and then returned to the testing system after testing of a second tested device, for which the testing system was configured after the initial test of the first tested device. This scenario would require a second configuration of the testing system for the second test of the first tested device.

    [0005] Patent document EP1713239A1 discloses a device inspection apparatus that is capable of judging the functions of operating control buttons on a cellular phone or like device automatically and easily.

    SUMMARY



    [0006] Accordingly there is provided a system, method, and computer-readable medium as detailed in the claims that follow.

    [0007] Embodiments of the present invention provide a device, system, and method that address each of the deficiencies described above with respect to conventional device testing systems. Embodiments of the present invention may be applied to both hardware and software stress testing. A device testing system may include a robotic arm for operating a tested device and may include an arrangement for operating a second non-tested device to communicate with the tested device, including transmitting messages or initiating a call to the tested device. A first camera may be provided for recording snapshots of a display screen of the tested device and a second camera may be provided for capturing videos of the tested device as a whole and the second non-tested device, both of which being in the viewing range of the second camera.

    [0008] The above functionality may be a primary utilization of the first and second cameras. In an alternative example embodiment, however, both cameras take snapshots, both cameras take video, or both cameras take both snapshots and video. In yet another alternative example embodiment, the first camera takes video while the second camera takes snapshots.

    [0009] A wizard may be included for facilitating a quick configuration of the testing system for each tested device. The wizard may reference a previously stored set of input test scenarios for application to various tested devices. The wizard may further refer to configuration files associated with a previously tested device for generating a new association of some or all of the files with a new tested device. The files newly associated with the new tested device may be further modified to customize the files to the features of the new tested device.

    [0010] Configuration of the testing system may include recordation of three dimensional coordinates for each or one or more buttons or other input devices, e.g., joy stick, trackball, thumbwheel, switch, etc., of the tested device. Two of the coordinates may represent a two-dimensional position of the input device on a plane of the tested device. The third coordinate may represent a position to which the input device is to be moved, e.g., in a direction perpendicular to the two-dimensional plane, in order for the tested device to register actuation of the input device and to do so without over-extending the input device or a plane of the tested device, e.g., by too hard of a button press. For an input device of the tested device for which the three dimensional coordinates are to be recorded, after coordinates representing a two-dimensional plane are input, the device testing system may automatically determine and record the coordinate of the third dimension based on signals obtained from a force sensor during movement of the robotic arm in the direction perpendicular to the input plane.

    [0011] The device testing system may include a single main workstation in which to perform the testing configuration and to perform the subsequent testing. The device testing system may also include a second workstation which may be less complex than the main workstation, e.g., by omission of some of the software and/or hardware, such as omission of the robotic arm. According to this embodiment, some of the configuration of the device testing system for testing the tested device may be performed using the second less complex workstation. This may be advantageous since it may provide flexibility such as to allow for collaboration by a group of operators for performing the configuration, each operator at a separate location, e.g., at the operator's own desk or at home, instead of at a main testing location at which the main workstation is located. It may be required to perform some of the configuration steps using the main workstation. Subsequent to the configuration, the tested device may be transferred to the main workstation for testing according to the configuration, part of which may have been performed at the secondary location.

    [0012] According to an example embodiment of the present invention, for each tested device for which the device testing system is configured, a unique code may be stored. The code may be associated with a configuration file to be used for testing of the tested device. At any time, the device testing system may be reconfigured for a previously tested device by input of the code. Further, so as to allow for quick reconfiguration without any user input, each code may encoded in barcode format. Each tested device or a fixture to which the device is attached for the testing of the device may be marked by the barcode. At the beginning of a test sequence, a camera of the testing device may capture an image of the tested device and/or fixture, match the barcode to one stored in a testing system, e.g., in a database or other file structure, such as a directory tree of phone configurations, and automatically load the configuration associated with the imaged barcode.

    [0013] According to an example embodiment of the present invention, a device fixture includes an attachment plate having: a middle bore extending therethrough; and, on each of at least two sides of the middle bore, a respective lip, at least a portion of the lip extending along at least a portion of the bore on at least two sides of the bore. The device fixture further includes a base including a wide base and a narrow base above the wide base, the base slidably coupled to the attachment plate, the wide base extending underneath the at least two lips and the narrow base extending between the at least two lips. The device fixture further includes a first vertical plate extending upward from a surface of the narrow base which is parallel to a surface of the attachment plate through which the two elongated bores and the middle bore extends, the first vertical plate having at least two bores extending from a surface of the first vertical plate and in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the first vertical plate extends from the narrow base. The device fixture further includes a second vertical plate having: a curved bore extending therethrough and being slidably coupleable to the first vertical plate via coupling into the at least two bores of at least two fasteners extending through the curved bore; and a structure having a shape and extending from a surface of the second vertical plate that is, when the second vertical plate is coupled to the first vertical plate, parallel to the surface of the narrow base from which the first vertical plate extends. The device fixture further includes a mounting plate having: a first bore in a shape that corresponds to the shape of the structure of the second vertical plate, the structure of the second vertical plate being slidably receivable into the first bore of the mounting plate for coupling of the second vertical plate to the mounting plate; and at least one second bore extending from a surface of the mounting plate that is, when the mounting plate is coupled to the second vertical plate and the second vertical plate is coupled to the first vertical plate, perpendicular to the surface of the narrow base from which the first vertical plate extends, and to the first bore, the coupling of the mounting plate to the second vertical plate being tightenable insertion of at least one fastener through the at least one second bore to the structure of the second vertical plate extending through the first bore.

    Detailed Description



    [0019] Figure 1a shows a device testing system 1 according to an example of the present invention, The device testing system 1 may include a compartment 100 which may house a robot 102, a platform 104, a user terminal 105, a light fixture 110, and a camera arrangement 111. The robot 102 may includes an arm 103 to operate a tested device 115. As used herein, the term tested device does not necessarily mean that the device is currently undergoing a test, but rather means that the device is one for which the system 1 is configurable to perform a test. In certain contexts, however, the tested device 115 may be described as undergoing a test.

    [0020] The compartment 100 may be fully enclosed during configuration of the device testing system 1 and/or testing of the tested device 115 so that lighting may be controlled to be at an optimum level at various stages of the configuration and/or testing.

    [0021] The platform 104 may include attachment point at which to attach a device fixture 114 upon which the tested device may be fixedly, e.g., via an adhesive, mounted. The platform 104 may, for example, include recesses into which pegs extending from a bottom surface of the device fixture 114 may be inserted for ensuring that the device fixture 114 is placed in the same position with respect to the robot 102 each time the device fixture 114 is placed for testing of the mounted tested device 115.

    [0022] During configuration and/or testing, the tested device 115 may be positioned with respect to the device testing system such that a plane of the tested device 115 that includes a display screen is perpendicular to a direction in which the arm 103 extends towards the platform 104 to operate the tested device 115. Where a portion of the tested device 115 which include the majority of user operable input devices, e.g., a keypad, is coupled to the portion including the display screen, e.g., in a hinged manner, such that, in an open position of the tested device 115, the keypad portion is arranged at a less or greater than 180° angle relative to the display screen portion, it may be required for the arm 103 to extend to substantially different positions in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the platform 104 to operate different buttons of the tested device 115.

    [0023] The arm 103 may be attached to a main body of the robot 102 via an arm plate 140 more clearly shown in Figure 2, such that the arm 103 is laterally displaced from a vertical axis of the main body of the robot 103. Such displacement may provide for cameras of the camera arrangement 111a better view of the tested device 115 during configuration and/or testing.

    [0024] As shown in Figure 1b, the camera arrangement 111 may include a first camera 113 and a second camera 112. In an example embodiment of the present invention, the second camera 112 is angled such that an axis extending perpendicularly through its lens extends towards the platform 104 at a non-perpendicular angle and whose settings may be such that its field of view encompasses the entire tested device 115. A display screen of the tested device 115 may be laterally shifted from an axis extending perpendicularly through the lens of the second camera 112 towards the platform 104. Further, the portion 115.a of the tested device 115 including the display screen may be at an angle relative to the axis extending through the lens of the second camera 112, where the angle is not 90°.

    [0025] In an example embodiment of the present invention, the first camera 113 is arranged such that its lens is approximately parallel to the platform 104 and therefore approximately parallel to the surface of the display screen of the tested device 115. Further, the camera 113 and the device fixture 114 may be positioned relative to each other such that an axis extending perpendicularly through the lens of the camera 113 extends approximately perpendicularly through the display screen of the tested device 115, e.g., through a center of the display screen. The display screen of the tested device 115 may thus be in better focus and be viewed with greater resolution by the first camera 113 than by the second camera 112, so that, while the second camera 112 may record images, e.g., moving images, of the entire tested device 115, the first camera 113 may record images in which the display screen may be more clearly depicted to allow for processing by image recognition software, including, for example, optical character recognition (OCR), of the image of the display screen. In an example embodiment, the zoom setting of the first camera 113 may be such that the display screen entirely or approximately entirely encompasses the field of view of the first camera 113.

    [0026] The device fixture 114 may be configured to allow for mounting thereon of the tested device 115 and a partner device 116 (which may itself occupy the role of a tested device and may be tested during a different testing operation of the system 1) in close proximity to the tested device 115 as shown in the two exemplary embodiments of Figures 3 and 4. The camera 112 may be arranged and the settings of the camera 112 may be configured such that the tested device 115 and the partner device 116 may be within the field of view of the camera 112, so that the recorded images generated by the camera 112 may be simultaneously of both the tested device 115 and the partner device 116.

    [0027] The user terminal 105 may include a processor 106, a memory 107, a display 108, and an input device 109. The processor 106 may include any suitable conventional processing circuit implemented in any conventional form, such as a Central Processing Unit (CPU) of a Personal Computer (PC). The memory 107 may include any suitable conventional memory device, such as Random Access Memory (RAM), Read Only Memory (ROM), a hard disk, magnetic tape, a Compact Disk (CD), Flash Memory based device, and/or a Digital Versatile Disk (DVD). The memory 107 may include program instructions executable by the processor 106 to perform the various functions described herein for configuring and operating the system 1 and for operating the partner device 116 in the various exemplary ways described herein.

    [0028] In an example embodiment of the present invention, the processing circuit may include a robot controller PC and a Test Executive PC (TEPC), where both PCs are connected to an Ethernet switch in the station, and they communicate over a local network. The TEPC sends button push and other commands to the robot controller PC, which has software running on it to listen to and act upon the commands. The display and input device are common to both the TEPC and the robot controller PC, connected by a KVM switch.

    [0029] The tested device 115 and the partner device 116 may each be a communications device, such as a mobile phone. The processor 106 may be connected to the partner device 116, e.g., via a communications/control interface, for example a serial interface, of the partner device 116. In an example embodiment, the partner device is connected to the TEPC. During testing of the tested device 115, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, executing partner device instructions 120 in the memory 107, e.g., a portion of the instructions 120 which resides in a part of the memory 107 which the TEPC processor accesses, may input commands to the partner device 116 via the serial interface of the partner device 116. The commands may simulate operation of input hardware of the partner device 116 which causes the partner device 116 to transmit a communication to the tested device 115.

    [0030] In an example embodiment of the present invention, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may also intercept data of the partner device 116 used for generating a display in the display screen of the partner device 116. Where, during testing of the tested device 115, the tested device 115 is operated to transmit a communication to the partner device 116, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may analyze the intercepted data from the partner device 116 to determine whether the appropriate result for the expected communication from the tested device 115 was obtained by comparing the intercepted data with expected data stored in the memory 107, e.g., TEPC memory. If the result is not what was expected, the processor 106 may determine that an error has occurred. Similarly, where, during a part of the testing of the tested device 115, the tested device 115 was not to have communicated with the partner device 116, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may determine that an error has occurred where non-expected data is intercepted from the partner device 116.

    [0031] In an example embodiment of the present invention, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may be coupled to the cameras 112 and 113. The processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may receive images sensed by a sensor of the camera 113 which captures light passing through the lens of the camera 113. The processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may execute image processing software 121 to compare the images received from camera 113 to images of a display screen image collection 122, e.g., stored in the memory of the TEPC, to determine whether the images received from the camera 113 match the images of the collection 122 , e.g., stored in the memory of the TEPC. For each of the images of the collection 122, e.g., stored in the memory of the TEPC, the collection 122 may identify the particular respective operation(s) of the tested device 115 with which the image is associated. For each such identified one or more operations, upon performance by the robot 102 of the identified operation(s), the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may compare the image captured by the camera 112 immediately following performance of the operation(s) with the image associated with the performed operation(s).

    [0032] While the camera 113 provides images to the user terminal 105, the camera 112 may also provide images to the user terminal 105. The images provided by the camera 112 may be moving images, i.e., movies. The moving images may be stored in a buffer of the memory 107, e.g., of the TEPC. In response to a determination by the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, that an error has occurred, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may transfer a number of the images in the buffer to a permanent memory location, images of which are playable as a movie, e.g., on display 108. In an example embodiment of the present invention, the images which are transferred are those encompassing a time period beginning shortly before the occurrence of the error and ending shortly after the occurrence of the error.

    [0033] In an example embodiment of the present invention, the buffer may be configured as a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) memory and to hold only a small number of images. Once full, for each newly received image, the image of the FIFO which was received prior to all other images of the FIFO may be deleted and the newly received image may be written into the FIFO. In an example embodiment, all of the images of the FIFO or acquired images in the form of a video may be transferred to permanent storage upon detection of an error. Alternatively the number of images of the temporary memory which are transferred to permanent storage may be based on a predetermined number or a predetermined time interval with which the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, is configured. It is noted that the number of recorded image frames which represent a time interval may vary, e.g., if the frame capture rate of the camera 112 varies. Alternatively, all images may be grabbed and saved to a file on the local disk. Upon detection of an error, a number of images may be stored at a separate memory location for viewing of the error. In yet another alternative, all images are stored to a temporary file which is deleted if no error occurs and permanently stored if an error is detected. By the conditioning of permanent storage of images upon error detection as described with respect to these embodiments, the required storage capacity may be reduced because, for example, full length video of every run from start to finish is not stored.

    [0034] In an example embodiment of the present invention, the memory 107, e.g., on the TEPC, may include a configuration file database 123 which includes a respective configuration file or folder for each tested device 115 for which the system 1 is configured. In an example embodiment of the present invention, where some of tested devices 115 are very similar, such that configuration of the system 1, with respect to the operations to be performed during the testing of the devices and the location of the input hardware of manipulated by the robot 102 during the test are identical, those similar tested device 115 may share a same one of the configuration file or folder. In an alternative example embodiment, regardless of similarity of features, no two tested devices, e.g., phones, share the same configuration file, but rather each have a unique configuration file/folder structure. For each different configuration file or folder, a unique code may be generated by the processor 106. Alternatively, a separate PC outside the robot station may generate and/or print the code. The code may be codable, e.g., in a barcode. In an example embodiment of the present invention, a code, e.g., a barcode, may be placed on a tested device 115 or on the device fixture 114. Figure 5, for example, shows a barcode 500 placed on the device fixture 114 near the tested device 115 with respect to an axis extending perpendicularly through lens of the camera 112 so that the barcode 500 is in the field of view of the camera 112 when the device fixture 114 is mounted on the platform 104 in the testing position.

    [0035] Upon initialization of the system 1 for performing a test, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may operate the camera 112 to obtain an image. The processor 106, e.g., TEPC, executing the image processing software 121, e.g., stored on the TEPC, may detect the barcode 500 in the obtained image, process the barcode 500 to determine its underlying code, compare the underlying code with a set of codes stored in the memory 107, select the configuration file or folder associated with the code, and begin operating the robot 102 according to the configuration parameters included in the configuration file or folder to perform the testing sequences outlined in the configuration file or folder.

    [0036] If a barcode is not detected, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may, according to different exemplary embodiments, cause the display 108 to output an error message, output a message requesting a user to manually input, via the input device 109, the code, or output a message requesting the user to begin a process for generation of a new configuration file or folder. In an example embodiment of the present invention, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may cause the display of an error message indicating that no barcode is included (or that an included barcode is not recognized), and requesting input indicating whether a configuration file exists which may be used for the mounted tested device 115, If the user indicates that a configuration file exists, the user may be prompted to enter the code. If the user indicates that a configuration does not yet exist, the user may be prompted to begin the process for generation of the configuration file or folder.

    [0037] In an alternative example embodiment, the user is prompted for generation of a configuration file or folder only if: (a) no barcode is found; or (b) a barcode is found and no configuration data exists for that phone. The user is not prompted for whether a configuration file exists, as this is determined programmatically.

    [0038] In an example embodiment of the present invention, the light fixture 110 may include, for example, light emitting diodes (LEDs), e.g., 2 LEDs. In an example embodiment of the present invention (not shown), there are two independently controllable light fixtures, one on each side of the cameras, each light fixture including approximately 6 LEDs. The light fixture 110 may be configured to produce a plurality of levels of light. The processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may be coupled directly or indirectly to the light fixture 110 and may be configured to control the light fixture 110 according to a light control program 124, e.g., on the TEPC, to vary the light level produced by the light fixture,

    [0039] In particular, the light fixture 110 may be configured to produce light at two different light levels. Upon initiating the system 1 to perform a test of the tested device 115, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, executing a light control program 124 may operate the light fixture 110 to emit light at a first level and may operate the camera 112 to record an image while the light fixture 110 emits light at the first level. The processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may process the image obtained from the camera 112 operated while the light fixture emits light at the first level to recognize the barcode 500 (if any is included).

    [0040] After obtaining the image and/or recognizing the barcode 500 or otherwise determining the code to be used for obtaining the necessary configuration file or folder, the processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may turn off the light fixture 110 so that it does not emit any light The processor 106, e.g., executing instructions of a selected configuration file of the database 123, e.g., the TEPC, may further operate the robot 102 while the light fixture 110 is turned off to operate the tested device 115 so that the display screen of the tested device 115 is turned on. The processor 106, e.g., TEPC, may be further configured to execute instructions in the memory 107, e.g., on the TEPC, for detecting the precise position and perimeter of the display screen of the tested device 115 with respect to the camera 113 based on a contrast between the light produced by the display screen and the non-lit surrounding area, which contrast is determined by analysis of an image obtained from the camera 113 while the light fixture 110 is turned off and the display screen is active to produce light. After the mounting plate 750 is slid onto the vertical plate 706 as described above, the set screws may be inserted until they form a significant compressive stress against the T-shaped structure 740 to prevent further shifting of the mounting plate 750 relative to the vertical plate 706, and thereby prevent disengagement of the mounting plate 750 from the second vertical plate 706.

The mounting plate 750 may then be attached to the vertical plate 706 as described above. In particular the angle of the second vertical plate 706 relative to the platform 104 may be adjusted to ensure that the display screen of the tested device 115 is substantially parallel to the camera 113.

When the robot 102 depresses such a side button, a torquing force may be generated.     Claims

    1. A device testing system (1), comprising:

    a memory (107) storing a plurality of screenshots associated with a first device (115);

    a first camera (113);

    a second camera (112);

    a platform (104) arranged such that at least a portion of the platform is in a field of view of the first camera (113) and in a field of view of the second camera (112);

    a robotic arm (103); and

    a processor (106) coupled to the first and second cameras (113; 112) and to the memory (107);

    wherein:

    the first camera (113) is arranged such that an axis that extends through a lens of the first camera (113) extends perpendicularly towards the platform (104);

    the second camera (112) is arranged such that an axis that extends through a lens of the second camera (112) extends at a non-perpendicular angle towards the platform (104), and such that the second camera (112) has a lesser zoom setting than the first camera (113), the second camera (112) thereby sensing a greater viewing area than the first camera (113);

    the first camera (113) is configured to transmit captured images to the processor (106); and

    the processor (106) is configured to:

    cause the robotic arm (103) to operate the first device (115) when the first device (115) is arranged on the platform (104) and a second device (116) arranged on the platform (104) is communicating with the first device (115);

    compare images received from the first camera (113) during the operation of the first device (115) with the stored plurality of screenshots;

    determine that an error has occurred if compared images do not match;
    and

    store in the memory (107) a video captured by the second camera (112) during a time period during which the determined error occurred.


     
    2. The device testing system of claim 1, further comprising:

    a force sensor (600) configured to sense a force generated by the robotic arm (103);

    wherein:

    the processor (106) is configured to generate a configuration file in accordance with which the operation of the first device (115) is performed, the generation of the configuration file including, for at least subset of a plurality of buttons of the first device (115):

    extending the robotic arm (103) in a direction perpendicular to a face of the button until a predetermined force value is sensed by the force sensor (600); and

    recording in the configuration file a coordinate of a position of the robotic arm (103) along an axis extending perpendicularly to the face of the button;

    the operation of the first device (115) includes manipulation of each of at least one of the subset of buttons sufficient to cause generation in the first device (115) of a respective signal identifying the manipulation of the respective button; and

    for each of the at least one of the subset of buttons, the manipulation is performed by extending the robotic arm (103) based on the configuration file in the direction perpendicular to the face of the respective button until a position of the robotic arm (103) corresponds to the respective coordinate recorded in the configuration file for the respective button.


     
    3. The device testing system of claim 1, further comprising:

    a mini-workstation that includes a camera arrangement, a processor, and a platform underneath the camera arrangement, the mini-workstation not including a robotic arm via which the first device is operable;

    wherein:

    the operation of the first device (115) is in accordance with one or more configuration files associated with the first device (115);

    the one or more configuration files include the screenshots of the display screen to which the captured images are compared during the operation of the first device (115); and

    at least a portion of the one or more configuration files is generatable by capturing the screenshots using the camera arrangement of the mini workstation.


     
    4. A device testing method, comprising:

    operating (1216) by a robotic arm a first device according to stored test sequences when a second device (116) is communicating with the first device (115);

    capturing (1218) still images of a display screen of the first device using a first camera having a field of view substantially occupied by the display screen;

    capturing (1217) video images using a second camera having a field of view in which are located the first device and the second device communicating with the first device during the device testing method;

    comparing (1220), in a first comparison step, the captured still images with stored screenshots;

    determining (1222) whether an error has occurred based on the comparison; and

    conditional upon a determination that an error has occurred, storing (1226) in a memory a video clip captured by the second camera and which corresponds to a time period during which the determined error occurred;

    wherein the first camera is arranged such that an axis that extends through a lens of the first camera extends perpendicularly towards the platform; and

    wherein the second camera is arranged such that an axis that extends through a lens of the second camera extends at a non-perpendicular angle towards the platform, and such that the second camera has a lesser zoom setting than the first camera, the second camera thereby sensing a greater viewing area than the first camera.


     
    5. The device testing method of claim 4, further comprising:
    upon the determination that the error has occurred, storing (1226) in the memory one or more of the captured still images.
     
    6. The device testing method of claim 4, wherein the time period begins at a starting time prior to the occurrence of the error and ends at an ending time subsequent to the occurrence of the error.
     
    7. The device testing method of claim 4, further comprising:

    locating (1202) a code region within an image that is captured by one of the cameras in whose field of view is the first device;

    processing the code region to obtain a code encoded in the code region; and

    obtaining a configuration file based on an association of the code with the configuration file;

    wherein the operation of the first device is in accordance with the configuration file.


     
    8. The device testing method of claim 7, wherein the code is a barcode.
     
    9. The device testing method of claim 7, further comprising:

    a processor automatically operating (1200) a light fixture to produce light, during the step of locating the code region, at a first level;

    subsequent to the step of locating the code, the processor automatically operating (1204) the light fixture such that the light fixture does not produce light during a step of detecting the position of the display screen; and

    subsequent to the step of detecting the position of the display screen, the processor automatically operating (1208) the light fixture to produce light, during the steps of capturing the still and video images, at a second level.


     
    10. The device testing method of claim 4, further comprising:
    detecting (1206) a position of the display screen with respect to the field of view of the first camera, the comparing step being performed in accordance with the detected position.
     
    11. The device testing method of claim 4, further comprising:

    generating (1210) a configuration file in accordance with which the operation of the first device is performed, the generation of the configuration file including, for at least a subset of a plurality of buttons:

    extending (1402) a robotic arm in a direction perpendicular to a face of the button, until a predetermined force value is sensed by a force sensor; and

    recording (1408) in the configuration file a coordinate of a position of the robotic arm along an axis extending perpendicularly to the face of the button;

    wherein;

    the operation of the first device is performed via the robotic arm and includes manipulation of each of at least one of the subset of buttons sufficient to cause generation in the first device of a respective signal identifying the manipulation of the respective button; and

    for each of the at least one of the subset of buttons, the manipulation is performed by extending the robotic arm based on the configuration file in the direction perpendicular to the face of the respective button until a position of the robotic arm corresponds to the respective coordinate recorded in the configuration file for the respective button.


     
    12. The device testing method of claim 4, further comprising:
    generating a first-device-configuration-file in accordance with which the operation of the first device is performed, the generation of the first-device-configuration-file including:

    retrieving a third-device-configuration-file associated with a third device similar to the first device;

    storing a copy of the third-device-configuration-file as the first-device-configuration-file; and

    updating the first-device-configuration-file to reflect received user input identifying differences between the first device and third device.


     
    13. The device testing method of claim 12, wherein the generation further includes:
    in response to receipt of user input describing features of the first device, determining that the third device is similar to the first device, wherein the third-device-configuration-file is retrieved responsive to the determination of the similarity between the first and third devices.
     
    14. The device testing method of claim 12, wherein the third-device-configuration file is retrieved responsive to user input selecting 1he third-device-configuration file.
     
    15. The device testing method of claim 4, further comprising:
    generating a configuration file in accordance with which the operation of the first device is performed, the generation of the condition file including, in accordance with a file identifying a plurality of test tasks, for each identified test task:

    outputting a prompt for information identifying a respective set of device-operation sequences usable to perform the respective task; and

    responsive to information received for the prompt, updating the configuration file to include the received information.


     
    16. The device testing method of claim 4, further comprising
    interfacing with the second device to simulate mechanical manipulation of input devices of the second device, the simulation causing the second device to communicate with the first device.
     
    17. The device testing method of claim 16, the method further comprising:

    interfacing with the second device to capture at least one of still images of and text displayed on a display screen of the second device;

    comparing, in a second comparison step, at least one of:

    the captured still images of the display screen of the second device to stored screenshots; and

    the captured text displayed in the display screen of the second device to stored comparison text; and

    determining whether an error has occurred based on the comparison of the second comparison step.


     
    18. The device testing method of claim 17. wherein the text displayed in the display screen is captured as ASCII text values and compared with the stored comparison text.
     
    19. A hardware-implemented computer-readable medium having stored thereon instructions, which, when executed, cause a processor to perform the device testing method of claims 4-18.
     


    Ansprüche

    1. Vorrichtungsprüfsystem (1), umfassend:

    einen Speicher (107), der eine Vielzahl von Screenshots speichert, die einer ersten Vorrichtung (115) zugeordnet sind;

    eine erste Kamera (113);

    eine zweite Kamera (112);

    eine Plattform (104), die derart angeordnet ist, dass mindestens ein Abschnitt der Plattform sich in einem Sichtfeld der ersten Kamera (113) und in einem Sichtfeld der zweiten Kamera (112) befindet;

    einen Roboterarm (103); und

    einen Prozessor (106), der mit der ersten und der zweiten Kamera (113; 112) und mit dem Speicher (107) gekoppelt ist;

    wobei:

    die erste Kamera (113) derart angeordnet ist, dass eine Achse, die sich durch eine Linse der ersten Kamera (113) erstreckt, sich senkrecht zu der Plattform (104) hin erstreckt;

    die zweite Kamera (112) derart angeordnet ist, dass eine Achse, die sich durch eine Linse der zweiten Kamera (112) erstreckt, sich in einem nicht senkrechten Winkel zu der Plattform (104) hin erstreckt, und sodass die zweite Kamera (112) eine geringere Zoom-Einstellung aufweist als die erste Kamera (113), sodass die zweite Kamera (112) dadurch einen größeren Sichtbereich erfasst als die erste Kamera (113);

    die erste Kamera (113) konfiguriert ist, um aufgenommene Bilder an den Prozessor (106) zu senden; und

    der Prozessor (106) konfiguriert ist, um:

    zu bewirken, dass der Roboterarm (103) die erste Vorrichtung (115) betreibt, wenn die erste Vorrichtung (115) auf der Plattform (104) angeordnet ist und eine zweite Vorrichtung (116), die auf der Plattform (104) angeordnet ist, mit der ersten Vorrichtung (115) kommuniziert;

    Bilder zu vergleichen, die von der ersten Kamera (113) während des Betriebs der ersten Vorrichtung (115) mit der gespeicherten Vielzahl von Screenshots empfangen werden;

    zu ermitteln, dass ein Fehler aufgetreten ist, wenn verglichene Bilder nicht übereinstimmen;
    und

    in dem Speicher (107) ein Video zu speichern, das von der zweiten Kamera (112) während eines Zeitraums aufgenommen wurde, während der der ermittelte Fehler aufgetreten ist.


     
    2. Vorrichtungsprüfsystem nach Anspruch 1, ferner umfassend:

    einen Kraftsensor (600), der konfiguriert ist, um eine Kraft zu erfassen, die von dem Roboterarm (103) erzeugt wird;

    wobei:

    der Prozessor (106) konfiguriert ist, um eine Konfigurationsdatei zu erzeugen, gemäß der der Betrieb der ersten Vorrichtung (115) durchgeführt wird, wobei die Erzeugung der Konfigurationsdatei für mindestens eine Untergruppe aus einer Vielzahl von Schaltflächen der ersten Vorrichtung (115) beinhaltet:

    Verlängern des Roboterarms (103) in eine Richtung senkrecht zu einer Fläche der Schaltfläche, bis ein vorbestimmter Kraftwert von dem Kraftsensor (600) erfasst ist; und

    Aufzeichnen einer Koordinate einer Position des Roboterarms (103) in der Konfigurationsdatei entlang einer Achse, die sich senkrecht zu der Fläche der Schaltfläche erstreckt;

    der Betrieb der ersten Vorrichtung (115) das Betätigen jeder von mindestens einer aus der Untergruppe von Schaltflächen beinhaltet, die ausreichend ist, um eine Erzeugung eines jeweiligen Signals, das die Betätigung der jeweiligen Schaltfläche identifiziert, in der ersten Vorrichtung (115) zu bewirken; und

    für jede der mindestens einen der Untergruppe von Schaltflächen die Betätigung ausgeführt wird, indem der Roboterarm (103) basierend auf der Konfigurationsdatei in die Richtung senkrecht zu der Fläche der jeweiligen Schaltfläche verlängert wird, bis eine Position des Roboterarms (103) der jeweiligen Koordinate entspricht, die in der Konfigurationsdatei für die jeweilige Schaltfläche aufgezeichnet ist.


     
    3. Vorrichtungsprüfsystem nach Anspruch 1, ferner umfassend:

    eine Mini-Workstation, die eine Kameraanordnung, einen Prozessor und eine Plattform unterhalb der Kameraanordnung beinhaltet, wobei die Mini-Workstation keinen Roboterarm beinhaltet, über den die erste Vorrichtung betreibbar ist;

    wobei:

    die Bedienung der ersten Vorrichtung (115) gemäß einer oder mehrerer Konfigurationsdateien erfolgt, die der ersten Vorrichtung (115) zugeordnet sind;

    die eine oder am die mehreren Konfigurationsdateien die Screenshots des Anzeigebildschirms beinhalten, mit dem die aufgenommenen Bilder während des Betriebs der ersten Vorrichtung (115) verglichen werden; und

    mindestens ein Abschnitt der einen oder der mehreren Konfigurationsdateien durch Aufnehmen der Screenshots unter Verwendung der Kameraanordnung der Mini-Workstations erzeugt werden kann.


     
    4. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren, umfassend:

    Bedienen (1216) einer ersten Vorrichtung durch einen Roboterarm gemäß gespeicherten Prüfsequenzen, wenn eine zweite Vorrichtung (116) mit der ersten Vorrichtung (115) kommuniziert;

    Aufnehmen (1218) von Standbildern eines Anzeigebildschirms der ersten Vorrichtung unter Verwendung einer ersten Kamera, die ein Sichtfeld aufweist, das im Wesentlichen durch den Anzeigebildschirm eingenommen wird;

    Aufnehmen (1217) von Videobildern unter Verwendung einer zweiten Kamera, die ein Sichtfeld aufweist, in dem sich die erste Vorrichtung und die zweite Vorrichtung, die während des Vorrichtungsprüfverfahrens mit der ersten Vorrichtung kommuniziert, befinden;

    Vergleichen (1220) der aufgenommenen Standbilder mit gespeicherten Screenshots in einem ersten Vergleichsschritt;

    Ermitteln (1222), basierend auf dem Vergleich, ob ein Fehler aufgetreten ist; und

    In Abhängigkeit von einer Ermittlung, dass ein Fehler aufgetreten ist, Speichern (1226) eines Videoclips, der von der zweiten Kamera aufgenommen wird und der einem Zeitraum entspricht, in dem der ermittelte Fehler aufgetreten ist, in einem Speicher;

    wobei die erste Kamera derart angeordnet ist, dass eine Achse, die sich durch eine Linse der ersten Kamera erstreckt, sich senkrecht zu der Plattform hin erstreckt; und

    wobei die zweite Kamera derart angeordnet ist, dass eine Achse, die sich durch eine Linse der zweiten Kamera erstreckt, sich in einem nicht senkrechten Winkel zu der Plattform hin erstreckt, und sodass die zweite Kamera eine geringere Zoom-Einstellung aufweist als die erste Kamera, sodass die zweite Kamera dadurch einen größeren Sichtbereich erfasst als die erste Kamera.


     
    5. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 4, ferner umfassend:
    nach der Ermittlung, dass der Fehler aufgetreten ist, Speichern (1226) von einem oder mehreren der aufgenommenen Standbilder in dem Speicher.
     
    6. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 4, wobei der Zeitraum an einem Startzeitpunkt vor dem Auftreten des Fehlers beginnt und an einem Endzeitpunkt nach dem Auftreten des Fehlers endet.
     
    7. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 4, ferner umfassend:

    Anordnen (1202) eines Codebereichs innerhalb eines Bildes, das von einer der Kameras aufgenommen wird, in dessen Sichtfeld sich die erste Vorrichtung befindet;

    Verarbeiten des Codebereichs, um einen Code zu erhalten, der in dem Codebereich codiert ist; und

    Erhalten einer Konfigurationsdatei basierend auf einer Zuordnung des Codes zu der Konfigurationsdatei;

    wobei der Betrieb der ersten Vorrichtung gemäß der Konfigurationsdatei erfolgt.


     
    8. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 7, wobei der Code ein Barcode ist.
     
    9. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 7, ferner umfassend:

    einen Prozessor, der während des Schrittes des Anordnens des Codebereichs automatisch einen Beleuchtungskörper auf einer ersten Ebene bedient (1200);

    wobei der Prozessor nach dem Schritt des Anordnens des Codes automatisch den Beleuchtungskörper bedient (1204), sodass der Beleuchtungskörper während eines Schritts des Erfassens der Position des Anzeigebildschirms kein Licht erzeugt; und

    der Prozessor nach dem Schritt des Erfassens der Position des Anzeigebildschirms automatisch den Beleuchtungskörper bedient (1208), um während der Schritte des Aufnehmens der Stand- und Videobilder Licht auf einer zweiten Ebene zu erzeugen.


     
    10. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 4, ferner umfassend:
    Erfassen (1206) einer Position des Anzeigebildschirms mit Bezug auf das Sichtfeld der ersten Kamera, wobei der Vergleichsschritt gemäß der erfassten Position durchgeführt wird.
     
    11. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 4, ferner umfassend:

    Erzeugen (1210) einer Konfigurationsdatei, gemäß der der Betrieb der ersten Vorrichtung durchgeführt wird, wobei die Erzeugung der Konfigurationsdatei für mindestens eine Untergruppe aus einer Vielzahl von Schaltflächen beinhaltet:

    Verlängern (1402) eines Roboterarms in eine Richtung senkrecht zu einer Fläche der Schaltfläche, bis ein vorbestimmter Kraftwert von dem Kraftsensor erfasst ist; und

    Aufzeichnen (1408) einer Koordinate einer Position des Roboterarms in der Konfigurationsdatei entlang einer Achse, die sich senkrecht zu der Fläche der Schaltfläche erstreckt;

    wobei:

    der Betrieb der ersten Vorrichtung über den Roboterarm durchgeführt wird und das Betätigen jeder von mindestens einer aus der Untergruppe von Schaltflächen beinhaltet, die ausreichend ist, um eine Erzeugung eines jeweiligen Signals, das die Betätigung der jeweiligen Schaltfläche identifiziert, in der ersten Vorrichtung zu bewirken; und

    für jede der mindestens einen aus der Untergruppe von Schaltflächen die Betätigung ausgeführt wird, indem der Roboterarm basierend auf der Konfigurationsdatei in die Richtung senkrecht zu der Fläche der jeweiligen Schaltfläche verlängert wird, bis eine Position des Roboterarms der jeweiligen Koordinate entspricht, die in der Konfigurationsdatei für die jeweilige Schaltfläche aufgezeichnet ist.


     
    12. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 4, ferner umfassend:
    Erzeugen einer Konfigurationsdatei der ersten Vorrichtung, entsprechend der der Betrieb der ersten Vorrichtung durchgeführt wird, wobei die Erzeugung der Konfigurationsdatei der ersten Vorrichtung beinhaltet:

    Abrufen einer Konfigurationsdatei der dritten Vorrichtung, die einer dritten Vorrichtung zugeordnet ist, die der ersten Vorrichtung ähnelt;

    Speichern einer Kopie der Konfigurationsdatei der dritten Vorrichtung als Konfigurationsdatei der ersten Vorrichtung; und

    Aktualisieren der Konfigurationsdatei der ersten Vorrichtung, um eine empfangene Benutzereingabe, die Unterschiede zwischen der ersten Vorrichtung und der dritten Vorrichtung identifiziert, widerzuspiegeln.


     
    13. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 12, wobei die Erzeugung ferner beinhaltet:
    in Reaktion auf den Empfang einer Benutzereingabe, die Merkmale der ersten Vorrichtung beschreibt, Ermitteln, dass die dritte Vorrichtung der ersten Vorrichtung ähnelt, wobei die Konfigurationsdatei der dritten Vorrichtung in Reaktion auf die Ermittlung der Ähnlichkeit zwischen der ersten und der dritten Vorrichtung abgerufen wird.
     
    14. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 12, wobei die Konfigurationsdatei der dritten Vorrichtung in Reaktion auf die Benutzereingabe, die die Konfigurationsdatei der dritten Vorrichtung auswählt, abgerufen wird.
     
    15. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 4, ferner umfassend:
    Erzeugen einer Konfigurationsdatei, gemäß der der Betrieb der ersten Vorrichtung durchgeführt wird, wobei die Erzeugung der Bedingungsdatei gemäß einer Datei, die eine Vielzahl von Prüfaufgaben identifiziert, für jede identifizierte Prüfaufgabe beinhaltet:

    Ausgeben einer Eingabeaufforderung zur Information, die eine jeweilige Gruppe von Vorrichtungsbetriebsabfolgen identifiziert, die verwendet werden können, um die jeweilige Aufgabe durchzuführen; und

    in Reaktion auf die zur Eingabeaufforderung empfangene Information Aktualisieren der Konfigurationsdatei, um die empfangene Information aufzunehmen.


     
    16. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 4, ferner umfassend:
    Bilden einer Schnittstelle mit der zweiten Vorrichtung, um eine mechanische Betätigung von Eingabevorrichtungen der zweiten Vorrichtung zu simulieren, wobei die Simulation bewirkt, dass die zweite Vorrichtung mit der ersten Vorrichtung kommuniziert.
     
    17. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 16, das Verfahren ferner umfassend:

    Bilden einer Schnittstelle mit der zweiten Vorrichtung, um mindestens eines von Standbildern und Text, die auf dem Anzeigebildschirm der zweiten Vorrichtung angezeigt werden, aufzunehmen;

    Vergleichen, in einem zweiten Vergleichsschritt, von mindestens einem von:

    den aufgenommenen Standbildern des Anzeigebildschirms der zweiten Vorrichtung mit gespeicherten Screenshots; und

    dem aufgenommenen Text, der auf dem Anzeigebildschirm der zweiten Vorrichtung angezeigt wird, mit gespeichertem Vergleichstext; und

    Ermitteln, ob ein Fehler aufgetreten ist, basierend auf dem Vergleich des zweiten Vergleichsschritts.


     
    18. Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach Anspruch 17, wobei der Text, der auf dem Anzeigebildschirm angezeigt wird, als ASCII-Textwerte aufgenommen wird und mit dem gespeicherten Vergleichstext verglichen wird.
     
    19. Hardware-implementiertes computerlesbares Medium, das darauf gespeicherte Anweisungen aufweist, die bei Ausführung bewirken, dass ein Prozessor das Vorrichtungsprüfverfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 4-18 ausführt.
     


    Revendications

    1. Système de test de dispositif (1), comprenant :

    une mémoire (107) stockant une pluralité de captures d'écran associées à un premier dispositif (115) ;

    une première caméra (113) ;

    une seconde caméra (112) ;

    une plate-forme (104) agencée de telle sorte qu'au moins une partie de la plate-forme se trouve dans un champ de vision de la première caméra (113) et dans un champ de vision de la seconde caméra (112) ;

    un bras robotisé (103) ; et

    un processeur (106) couplé aux première et seconde caméras (113 ; 112) et à la mémoire (107) ;

    la première caméra (113) étant agencée de telle sorte qu'un axe qui s'étend à travers un objectif de la première caméra (113) s'étend perpendiculairement vers la plate-forme (104) ;

    la seconde caméra (112) étant agencée de telle sorte qu'un axe qui s'étend à travers un objectif de la seconde caméra (112) s'étend selon un angle non-perpendiculaire vers la plate-forme (104), et de telle sorte que la seconde caméra (112) a un réglage de zoom inférieur à la première caméra (113), la seconde caméra (112) détectant ainsi une zone de visualisation plus grande que la première caméra (113) ;

    la première caméra (113) étant configurée pour transmettre des images capturées au processeur (106) ; et

    le processeur (106) étant configuré pour :

    amener le bras robotisé (103) à actionner le premier dispositif (115) lorsque le premier dispositif (115) est agencé sur la plate-forme (104) et un deuxième dispositif (116) agencé sur la plate-forme (104) communique avec le premier dispositif (115) ;

    comparer des images reçues à partir de la première caméra (113) pendant l'actionnement du premier dispositif (115) à la pluralité de captures d'écran stockées ;

    déterminer qu'une erreur est survenue si des images comparées ne correspondent pas ; et

    stocker, dans la mémoire (107), une vidéo capturée par la seconde caméra (112) pendant une période pendant laquelle l'erreur déterminée est survenue.


     
    2. Système de test de dispositif selon la revendication 1, comprenant en outre :

    un capteur de force (600) configuré pour détecter une force générée par le bras robotisé (103) ;

    le processeur (106) étant configuré pour générer un fichier de configuration selon lequel l'actionnement du premier dispositif (115) est réalisé, la génération du fichier de configuration comprenant, pour au moins un sous-ensemble d'une pluralité de boutons du premier dispositif (115) :

    étendre le bras robotisé (103) dans une direction perpendiculaire à une face du bouton jusqu'à ce qu'une valeur de force prédéterminée soit détectée par le capteur de force (600) ; et

    enregistrer, dans le fichier de configuration, une coordonnée d'une position du bras robotisé (103) le long d'un axe s'étendant perpendiculairement à la face du bouton ;

    l'actionnement du premier dispositif (115) comprenant une manipulation de chacun d'au moins un du sous-ensemble de boutons suffisante pour entraîner la génération, dans le premier dispositif (115), d'un signal respectif identifiant la manipulation du bouton respectif ; et

    pour chacun de l'au moins un du sous-ensemble de boutons, la manipulation étant réalisée par extension du bras robotisé (103) sur la base du fichier de configuration dans la direction perpendiculaire à la face du bouton respectif jusqu'à ce qu'une position du bras robotisé (103) corresponde à la coordonnée respective enregistrée dans le fichier de configuration pour le bouton respectif.


     
    3. Système de test de dispositif selon la revendication 1, comprenant en outre :

    une mini-station de travail qui comprend un agencement de caméra, un processeur et une plate-forme sous l'agencement de caméra, la mini-station de travail ne comprenant pas de bras robotisé par l'intermédiaire duquel le premier dispositif est actionnable ;

    l'actionnement du premier dispositif (115) étant conforme à un ou plusieurs fichiers de configuration associés au premier dispositif (115) ;

    le ou les fichiers de configuration comprenant les captures d'écran de l'écran d'affichage auxquelles les images capturées sont comparées pendant l'actionnement du premier dispositif (115) ; et

    au moins une partie du ou des fichiers de configuration est apte à être générée par capture des captures d'écran à l'aide de l'agencement de caméra de la mini-station de travail.


     
    4. Procédé de test de dispositif, comprenant :

    actionner (1216), par un bras robotisé, un premier dispositif selon des séquences de test stockées lorsqu'un deuxième dispositif (116) communique avec le premier dispositif (115) ;

    capturer (1218) des images fixes d'un écran d'affichage du premier dispositif à l'aide d'une première caméra ayant un champ de vision sensiblement occupé par l'écran d'affichage ;

    capturer (1217) des images vidéo à l'aide d'une seconde caméra ayant un champ de vision dans lequel se trouvent le premier dispositif et le deuxième dispositif communiquant avec le premier dispositif pendant le procédé de test de dispositif ;

    comparer (1220), dans une première étape de comparaison, les images fixes capturées à des captures d'écran stockées ;

    déterminer (1222) si une erreur est survenue sur la base de la comparaison ; et

    sous réserve de la détermination qu'une erreur est survenue, stocker (1226), dans une mémoire, un clip vidéo capturé par la seconde caméra et qui correspond à une période pendant laquelle l'erreur déterminée est survenue ;

    la première caméra étant agencée de telle sorte qu'un axe qui s'étend à travers un objectif de la première caméra s'étend perpendiculairement vers la plate-forme ; et

    la seconde caméra étant agencée de telle sorte qu'un axe qui s'étend à travers un objectif de la seconde caméra s'étend selon un angle non-perpendiculaire vers la plate-forme, et de telle sorte que la seconde caméra a un réglage de zoom inférieur à la première caméra, la seconde caméra détectant ainsi une zone de visualisation plus grande que la première caméra.


     
    5. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 4, comprenant en outre :
    lorsqu'il est déterminé que l'erreur est survenue, stocker (1226), dans la mémoire, une ou plusieurs des images fixes capturées.
     
    6. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 4, dans lequel la période commence à un moment de début avant l'apparition de l'erreur et se termine à un moment de fin suivant l'apparition de l'erreur.
     
    7. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 4, comprenant en outre :

    localiser (1202) une région de code à l'intérieur d'une image qui est capturée par l'une des caméras dans le champ de vision de laquelle se trouve le premier dispositif ;

    traiter la région de code pour obtenir un code codé dans la région de code ; et

    obtenir un fichier de configuration sur la base d'une association du code avec le fichier de configuration ;

    l'actionnement du premier dispositif étant conforme au fichier de configuration.


     
    8. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 7, dans lequel le code est un code à barres.
     
    9. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 7, comprenant en outre :

    un processeur actionnant automatiquement (1200) un luminaire pour produire de la lumière, pendant l'étape de localisation de la région de code, à un premier niveau ;

    après l'étape de localisation du code, le processeur actionnant automatiquement (1204) le luminaire de telle sorte que le luminaire ne produit pas de lumière pendant une étape de détection de la position de l'écran d'affichage ; et

    après l'étape de détection de la position de l'écran d'affichage, le processeur actionnant automatiquement (1208) le luminaire pour produire de la lumière, pendant les étapes de capture des images fixes et vidéo, à un second niveau.


     
    10. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 4, comprenant en outre :
    détecter (1206) une position de l'écran d'affichage par rapport au champ de vision de la première caméra, l'étape de comparaison étant réalisée selon la position détectée.
     
    11. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 4, comprenant en outre :

    générer (1210) un fichier de configuration selon lequel l'actionnement du premier dispositif est réalisé, la génération du fichier de configuration comprenant, pour au moins un sous-ensemble d'une pluralité de boutons :

    étendre (1402) un bras robotisé dans une direction perpendiculaire à une face du bouton, jusqu'à ce qu'une valeur de force prédéterminée soit détectée par un capteur de force ; et

    enregistrer (1408), dans le fichier de configuration, une coordonnée d'une position du bras robotisé le long d'un axe s'étendant perpendiculairement à la face du bouton ;

    l'actionnement du premier dispositif étant réalisé par l'intermédiaire du bras robotisé et comprenant une manipulation de chacun d'au moins un du sous-ensemble de boutons suffisante pour entraîner la génération, dans le premier dispositif, d'un signal respectif identifiant la manipulation du bouton respectif ; et

    pour chacun de l'au moins un du sous-ensemble de boutons, la manipulation étant réalisée par extension du bras robotisé sur la base du fichier de configuration dans la direction perpendiculaire à la face du bouton respectif jusqu'à ce qu'une position du bras robotisé corresponde à la coordonnée respective enregistrée dans le fichier de configuration pour le bouton respectif.


     
    12. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 4, comprenant en outre :
    générer un fichier de configuration de premier dispositif selon lequel l'actionnement du premier dispositif est réalisé, la génération du fichier de configuration de premier dispositif comprenant :

    récupérer un fichier de configuration de troisième dispositif associé à un troisième dispositif similaire au premier dispositif ;

    stocker une copie du fichier de configuration de troisième dispositif en tant que fichier de configuration de premier dispositif ; et

    mettre à jour le fichier de configuration de premier dispositif pour refléter une entrée d'utilisateur reçue identifiant des différences entre le premier dispositif et le troisième dispositif.


     
    13. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 12, dans lequel la génération comprend en outre :
    en réponse à la réception d'une entrée d'utilisateur décrivant des caractéristiques du premier dispositif, déterminer que le troisième dispositif est similaire au premier dispositif, le fichier de configuration de troisième dispositif étant récupéré en réponse à la détermination de la similarité entre les premier et troisième dispositifs.
     
    14. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 12, dans lequel le fichier de configuration de troisième dispositif est récupéré en réponse à une entrée d'utilisateur sélectionnant le fichier de configuration de troisième dispositif.
     
    15. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 4, comprenant en outre :
    générer un fichier de configuration selon lequel l'actionnement du premier dispositif est réalisé, la génération du fichier de configuration comprenant, selon un fichier identifiant une pluralité de tâches de test, pour chaque tâche de test identifiée :

    émettre une invite pour informations identifiant un ensemble respectif de séquences d'actionnement de dispositif pouvant être utilisées pour réaliser la tâche respective ; et

    en réponse à des informations reçues pour l'invite, mettre à jour le fichier de configuration pour inclure les informations reçues.


     
    16. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 4, comprenant en outre :
    établir une interface avec le deuxième dispositif pour simuler une manipulation mécanique de dispositifs d'entrée du deuxième dispositif, la simulation amenant le deuxième dispositif à communiquer avec le premier dispositif.
     
    17. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 16, le procédé comprenant en outre :

    établir une interface avec le deuxième dispositif pour capturer au moins un parmi des images fixes et du texte affiché sur un écran d'affichage du deuxième dispositif ;

    comparer, dans une seconde étape de comparaison, au moins un parmi :

    les images fixes capturées de l'écran d'affichage du deuxième dispositif à des captures d'écran stockées ; et

    le texte capturé affiché dans l'écran d'affichage du deuxième dispositif à un texte de comparaison stocké ; et

    déterminer si une erreur est survenue sur la base de la comparaison de la seconde étape de comparaison.


     
    18. Procédé de test de dispositif selon la revendication 17, dans lequel le texte affiché dans l'écran d'affichage est capturé sous la forme de valeurs de texte ASCII et comparé au texte de comparaison stocké.
     
    19. Support lisible par ordinateur, mis en oeuvre sur matériel, ayant, stockées sur celui-ci, des instructions qui, lorsqu'elles sont exécutées, amènent un processeur à réaliser le procédé de test de dispositif selon les revendications 4 à 18.
