(57) An intraocular lens, comprising an optic (12) being substantially circular and having an optic anterior surface (14), an optic posterior surface (16), and an optic edge surface (18) at a periphery of the optic, the optic edge surface (18) connecting the optic anterior surface (14) and the optic posterior surface (16); and at least two haptics (22), each haptic (22) having a shoulder segment (24) coupled to the periphery of the optic, an arm segment (26) extending out from the shoulder segment (24), a haptic anterior surface (28), and a haptic posterior surface (30); wherein a central optic plane (52) divides the optic edge surface (18) in half, wherein a central haptic plane (60) divides the arm segment (26) in half, and the central haptic plane (60) is spaced apart in an anterior direction from the central optic plane.
