    Description

    Field of the Invention



    [0001] The present invention relates to an apparatus for supplementing a medical device configured to eject a medicament. In particular, the present invention relates to a supplementary device for a manually operable injection device.

    Background of the Invention



    [0002] A variety of diseases exists that require regular treatment by injection of a medicament. Such injection can be performed by using injection devices, which are applied either by medical personnel or by patients themselves. As an example, type-1 and type-2 diabetes can be treated by patients themselves by injection of insulin doses, for example once or several times per day. For instance, a pre-filled disposable insulin pen can be used as an injection device. Alternatively, a re-usable pen may be used. A re-usable pen allows replacement of an empty medicament cartridge by a new one. Either pen may come with a set of one-way needles that are replaced before each use. The insulin dose to be injected can then for instance be manually selected at the insulin pen by turning a dosage knob and observing the actual dose from a dose window or display of the insulin pen. The dose is then injected by inserting the needle into a suited skin portion and pressing an injection button of the insulin pen.

    [0003] To be able to monitor insulin injection, for instance to prevent false handling of the insulin pen or to keep track of the doses already applied, it is desirable to measure information related to a condition and/or use of the injection device, such as for instance information on the injected insulin type and dose. In this respect, WO 2009/024562 discloses a medical device with a value sensor. A Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) unit comprises a value sensor such as a pressure sensor and is integrated with a liquid medicament container to enable wireless pressure or other medicament relevant parameter value monitoring. The liquid medicament container is coupled with a first housing part of the medical device, which first housing part may for instance constitute a pre-filled disposable injection device. The RFID unit communicates wirelessly with a control circuit that is contained in a second housing part of the medical device that is releasably attached to the first housing part. The control circuit is adapted to process the values measured by the RFID unit, to compare it with pre-defined values and to provide an alert to the user if the measured values fall outside normal operating conditions, and to communicate data relating to the measured values to an external device for further data processing.

    [0004] The control circuit of the medical device described in WO 2009/024562 can thus be used with a series of pre-filled disposable injection devices, but the requirement that the RFID unit with the value sensor is contained in the medicament container of the pre-filled disposable injection devices significantly increases the costs of the pre-filled disposable injection device.

    [0005] It has been described, for instance in WO 2011/117212 to provide a supplementary device comprising a mating unit for releasably attaching the device to an injection device. The device includes a camera and is configured to perform optical character recognition (OCR) on captured images visible through a dosage window of the injection pen, thereby to determine a dose of medicament that has been dialled into the injection device.

    [0006] WO2010/037828 discloses an assembly comprises a drug delivery device and a monitoring device adapted to detect an action taking place in the drug delivery device. The drug delivery device comprises a main portion having a drug expelling mechanism for expelling drug from a reservoir through an outlet, a housing in which at least a portion of the expelling mechanism is arranged, and coupling means for a cover. The cover is adapted to cover the outlet when mounted on the main portion. The monitoring device comprises a housing portion, means for detecting an action taking place in the drug delivery device, and coupling means adapted to engage the coupling means on the main portion. By this arrangement the monitoring device can be placed in a predetermined position relative to the main portion when the coupling means engage each other, this allowing efficient transmission of information between the monitoring device and the main portion.

    [0007] WO2010/098927 discloses a medical module which includes a primary module housing, a secondary module housing, a dosage sensor, a power source, and a microcontroller. The module is configured to be attached to a disposable drug delivery pen or a reusable drug delivery pen so that the module may: determine dosage selected, injection of selected dosage, duration of injection, time of injection, whether the pen has been primed or shaken to thoroughly mix up insulin mixtures, transmit information relating to insulin dosage and injection to a data management unit, provide reminders, error warning or messages on improper usage or reusage of needles, track amount of drug remaining on board the pen or duration of usage of pen with respect to expiry of the drug on board, or provide an audible alarm for locating misplaced pen and module.

    [0008] WO2010/128493 discloses a medication injection supervisor device which, in one example embodiment, comprises a particular sleeve, the particular sleeve being designed to lock onto to a prefabricated injection pen of a particular design, a universal header designed slide onto the particular sleeve irrespective of the particular model of the prefabricated injection pen, an electronics assembly housed by the universal header, a sensor to detect an injection automatically, the sensor being communicatively coupled to the electronics assembly, a display to display injection data, and a button to allow manipulation and display of the injection data, including resetting of the time. The medication injection supervisor device can infer the completion of the injection from a plunger of the injection pen being depressed. The medication injection supervisor device can further include a dosage reading system to read a dosage of medication delivered by the prefabrication injection pen, the dosage reading system including a clip specific to the prefabricated injection pen coupled to a plunger of the prefabricated injection pen, the dosage being determined by a position of the clip. The medication injection supervisor device can further include a micro optics subsystem communicatively coupled to the electronics assembly and having a dial reader to take one or more images of a dosage dial of the prefabricated injection pen, and an imaging subsystem communicatively coupled to the electronics assembly to recognize characters in the images taken by the dial reader.

    Summary of Some Embodiments of the Invention

    Detailed Description of Some Embodiments of the Invention



    [0015] In the following, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to an insulin injection device. The present invention is however not limited to such application and may equally well be deployed with injection devices that eject other medicaments, or with other types of medical devices.

    [0016] Fig. 1 is an exploded view of an injection device 1, which may for instance represent Sanofi's Solostar (R) insulin injection pen.

    [0017] The injection device 1 of Fig. 1 is a pre-filled, disposable injection pen that comprises a housing 10 and contains an insulin container 14, to which a needle 15 can be affixed. The needle is protected by an inner needle cap 16 and an outer needle cap 17, which in turn can be covered by a cap 18. An insulin dose to be ejected from injection device 1 can be selected by turning a dosage knob 12, and the selected dose is then displayed via a dosage window or display 13, for instance in multiples of so-called International Units (IU), wherein one IU is the biological equivalent of about 45.5 micrograms of pure crystalline insulin (1/22 mg). An example of a selected dose displayed in dosage window or display 13 may for instance be 30 IUs, as shown in Fig. 1. It should be noted that the selected dose may equally well be displayed differently, for instance by an electronic display. It will be understood that dosage window relates to the section of the injection device through or on which the selected dosage is visible.

    [0018] Turning the dosage knob 12 causes a mechanical click sound to provide acoustical feedback to a user. The numbers displayed in dosage window or display 13 are printed on a sleeve that is contained in housing 10 and mechanically interacts with a piston in insulin container 14. When needle 15 is stuck into a skin portion of a patient, and then injection button 11 is pushed, the insulin dose displayed in display 13 will be ejected from injection device 1. When the needle 15 of injection device 1 remains for a certain time in the skin portion after the injection button 11 is pushed, a high percentage of the dose is actually injected into the patient's body. Ejection of the insulin dose also causes a mechanical click sound, which is however different from the sounds produced when using dosage knob 12.

    [0019] Injection device 1 may be used for several injection processes until either insulin container 14 is empty or the expiration date of injection device 1 (e.g. 28 days after the first use) is reached.

    [0020] Furthermore, before using injection device 1 for the first time, it may be necessary to perform a so-called "prime shot" to remove air from insulin container 14 and needle 15, for instance by selecting two units of insulin and pressing injection button 11 while holding injection device 1 with the needle 15 upwards.

    [0021] For simplicity of presentation, in the following, it will be exemplarily assumed that the ejected doses substantially correspond to the injected doses, so that, for instance when making a proposal for a dose to be injected next, this dose equals the dose that has to ejected by the injection device. Nevertheless, differences (e.g. losses) between the ejected doses and the injected doses may of course be taken into account.

    [0022] The housing 10 of the injection device 1 comprises a front section 101 and a rear section 102. The needle 15 is affixed to the front end of the front section 101 and the dosage knob 12 extends from the rear end of the rear section 102. The front section 101 has a smaller diameter than the rear section 102 of the injection device housing 10. A shoulder 103 is defined between the front section 101 and the rear section 102. The shoulder 103 extends circumferentially around the housing 10.

    [0023] The cap 18 extends over the front section 101. The cap 18 covers the front section 101 and a lip 18a of the cap 18 locates against the shoulder 103.

    [0024] A cap retaining ridge 104 is formed on the outer surface of the front section 101 of the housing 10 of the injection device 1. The cap retaining ridge 104 is disposed proximate to, but spaced from, the shoulder 103. The ridge 104 extends diametrically about the front section 101. The ridge 104 locates over one or more retaining elements (not shown) formed on the inner surface of the cap 18 to retain the cap 18 in position over the front section 101. Alternatively, the cap retaining ridge 104 locates in a corresponding diametrically extending recess (not shown) formed on the inner surface of the cap 18.

    [0025] The injection device 1 further comprises additional elements. A rib 105 protrudes from an outer surface 106 of the injection device 1. The rib 105 acts as an alignment element for locating the body in a specific position relative to the outer surface 106 of the injection device 1. The rib 105 upstands from the outer surface 106 of the injection device 1 between the dosage display 13 and the dosage knob 12. The dosage knob 12 is disposed on the rear section 102 of the injection device housing 10. The rib 105 is elongate and extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the injection device 1.

    [0026] Left and right indents 107 (refer to Figure 8) are formed in the outer surface 106 of the injection device 1. The two indents 107 are formed in the rear section 102. Each indent 107 is formed proximate to the rear end of the injection device housing 10. The indents 107 are formed generally diametrically opposite to each other on left and right sides of the injection device 1. The indents 107 have chamfered sides.

    [0027] Fig. 2a is a schematic illustration of an embodiment of a supplementary device 2 to be releasably attached to injection device 1 of Fig. 1. Supplementary device 2 comprises a housing 20 with a mating unit configured to embrace the housing 10 of injection device 1 of Fig. 1, so that supplementary device 2 sits tightly on housing 10 of injection device 1, but is nevertheless removable from injection device 1, for instance when the injection device 1 is empty and has to be replaced. Fig. 2a is highly schematic, and details of the physical arrangement are described below with reference to Figure 2b.

    [0028] Supplementary device 2 contains optical and acoustical sensors for gathering information from injection device 1. At least a part of this information, for instance a selected dose (and optionally a unit of this dose), is displayed via display unit 21 of supplementary device 2. The dosage display 13 of injection device 1 is obstructed by supplementary device 2 when attached to injection device 1.

    [0029] Supplementary device 2 further comprises three user input transducers, illustrated schematically as a button 22. These input transducers 22 allow a user to turn on/off supplementary device 2, to trigger actions (for instance to cause establishment of a connection to or a pairing with another device, and/or to trigger transmission of information from supplementary device 2 to another device), or to confirm something.

    [0030] Fig. 2b shows a view of the supplementary device 2 with the arrangement of the mating unit and housing shown in greater detail. The supplementary device 2 is shown mounted to the injection device 1 in Fig. 2b.

    [0031] The housing 20 of the supplementary device 2 has a body 300 and a collar 301. The body 300 is elongate and the display unit 21 is disposed on an upper side 302 of the body 300. The collar 301 extends from a lower side 303 of the body 300. The body 300 has a front end 304 and a rear end 305. The collar 301 extends from the front end 304. The collar 301 extends from the body 300 at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the elongate body 300.

    [0032] The collar 301 has an aperture 306 formed therethrough. The collar 301 is configured to receive the injection device 1 through the aperture 306. A channel 307 (refer to Figure 11) is formed in the lower side 303 of the body 300. The channel 307 is elongate and extends between the front end 304 and the rear end 305 of the body 300.

    [0033] Two wings 308, acting as protective walls, extend downwardly from the lower side 303 of the body 300. The wings 308 are spaced from each other and distend from either side of the channel 307. Therefore, the injection device 1 is receivable between the wings 308. The wings 308 are disposed at the rear end 305 of the body 300, at an opposite end of the body 300 to the collar 301.

    [0034] The collar 301 and channel 307 form part of an alignment arrangement or alignment unit. The alignment unit is configured to locate the body in a specific position relative to the outside surface 106 of the injection device 1. The alignment unit forms part of the mating unit configured to embrace the housing 10 of injection device 1 to maintain the supplementary device in a specific position on the injection device 1.

    [0035] The supplementary device 2 further comprises an engaging unit or arrangement configured to releasably mount the body to the injection device 1. The collar 301 also forms part of the engaging unit. The engagement unit forms part of the mating unit.

This proposal may be based on information on one or more past injections received by the patient, and on a current blood glucose level, that is measured by blood glucose meter 43 and provided (e.g. via a wired or wireless connection) to blood glucose monitoring system 42. Therein, blood glucose meter 43 may be embodied as a separate device that is configured to receive a small blood probe (for instance on a carrier material) of a patient and to determine the blood glucose level of the patient based on this blood probe. Blood glucose meter 43 may however also be a device that is at least temporarily implanted into the patient, for instance in the patient's eye or beneath the skin.

    [0040] Fig. 3b is a modified constellation 4' where the blood glucose meter 43 of Fig. 3a has been included into blood glucose monitoring system 42 of Fig. 3a, thus yielding the modified blood glucose monitoring system 42' of Fig. 3b. The functionalities of injection device 40 and supplementary device 41 of Fig. 3a are not affected by this modification. Also the functionality of blood glucose monitoring system 42 and blood glucose meter 43 combined into blood glucose monitoring system 42' are basically unchanged, apart from the fact that both are now comprised in the same device, so that external wired or wireless communication between these devices is no longer necessary. However, communication between blood glucose monitoring system 42 and blood glucose meter 43 takes place within system 42'.

    [0041] Fig. 4 shows a schematic view of the supplementary device 2 of Fig. 2a in a state where it is attached to injection device 1 of Fig. 1.

    [0042] With the housing 20 of supplementary device 2, a plurality of components are comprised. These are controlled by a processor 24, which may for instance be a microprocessor, a Digital Signal Processor (DSP), Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC), Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) or the like. Processor 24 executes program code (e.g. software or firmware) stored in a program memory 240, and uses a main memory 241, for instance to store intermediate results. Main memory 241 may also be used to store a logbook on performed ejections/injections. Program memory 240 may for instance be a Read-Only Memory (ROM), and main memory may for instance be a Random Access Memory (RAM).

    [0043] In an example embodiment, processor 24 interacts with a first button 22, via which supplementary device 2 may for instance be turned on and off. A second button 33 is a communications button. The second button may be used to trigger establishment of a connection to another device, or to trigger a transmission of information to another device. A third button 34 is a confirm or OK button. The third button 34 can be used to acknowledge information presented to a user of supplementary device 2. The buttons 22, 33, 34 may be any suitable form of user input transducers, for instance mechanical switches, capacitive sensors or other touch sensors.

    [0044] Processor 24 controls a display unit 21, which is presently embodied as a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). Display unit 21 is used to display information to a user of supplementary device 2, for instance on present settings of injection device 1, or on a next injection to be given. Display unit 21 may also be embodied as a touch-screen display, for instance to receive user input.

    [0045] Processor 24 also controls an optical sensor 25, embodied as an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) reader, that is capable of capturing images of the dosage display 13, in which a currently selected dose is displayed (by way of numbers printed on the sleeve 19 contained in injection device 1, which numbers are visible through the dosage display 13). OCR reader 25 is further capable of recognizing characters (e.g. numbers) from the captured image and to provide this information to processor 24. Alternatively, unit 25 in supplementary device 2 may only be an optical sensor, e.g. a camera, for capturing images and providing information on the captured images to processor 24. Then processor 24 is responsible for performing OCR on the captured images.

    [0046] Processor 24 also controls light-sources such as light emitting diodes (LEDs) 29 to illuminate the dosage display 13, in which a currently selected dose is displayed. A diffuser may be used in front of the light-sources, for instance a diffuser made from a piece of acrylic glass. Furthermore, the optical sensor may comprise a lens (e.g. an aspheric lens) leading to a magnification (e.g. a magnification of more than 3:1).

    [0047] Processor 24 further controls a photometer 26, that is configured to determine an optical property of the housing 10 of injection device 1, for example a colour or a shading. The optical property may only be present in a specific portion of housing 10, for example a colour or colour coding of sleeve 19 or of an insulin container comprised within injection device 1, which colour or colour coding may for instance be visible through an opening or window in housing 10 (and/or in sleeve 19). Information on this colour is then provided to processor 24, which may then determine the type of injection device 1 or the type of insulin contained in injection device 1 (e.g. SoloStar Lantus with purple colour and SoloStar Apidra with blue colour). Alternatively, a camera unit may be used instead of photometer 26, and an image of the housing, sleeve or insulin container may then be provided to processor 24 to determine the colour of the housing, sleeve or insulin container by way of image processing. Further, one or more light sources may be provided to improve reading of photometer 26. The light source may provide light of a certain wavelength or spectrum to improve colour detection by photometer 26. The light source may be arranged in such a way that unwanted reflections, for example by dosage display 13, are avoided or reduced. In an example embodiment, instead of or in addition to photometer 26, a camera unit may be deployed to detect a code (for instance a bar code, which may for instance be a one- or two-dimensional bar code) related to the injection device and/or the medicament contained therein. This code may for instance be located on the housing 10 or on a medicament container contained in injection device 1, to name but a few examples. This code may for instance indicate a type of the injection device and/or the medicament, and/or further properties (for instance an expiration date).

    [0048] Processor 24 further controls (and/or receives signals from) an acoustic sensor 27, which is configured to sense sounds produced by injection device 1.     1. A supplementary device (2) for attachment to a manually operable injection device (1) in a specific position relative to an outside surface of the injection device (1), the supplementary device (2) comprising:

    a body (400) having an injection device (1) receiving channel (407); and

    a mating unit configured to releasably mount the body (400) to the injection device (1) in the specific position relative to the outside surface of the injection device (1),

    wherein the mating unit comprises a collar (401) extending from the body (400) and configured to receive the injection device (1) so that the injection device (1) extends through the collar (401), wherein the collar (401) comprises a closure (410) which is rotatable towards the body (400) about an axis of rotation that is transverse to the longitudinal axis of the injection device (1) receiving channel to secure the body (400) to the injection device (1),

    wherein the mating unit further comprises an engaging unit configured to engage the supplementary device (2) with the injection device (1),

    wherein the engaging unit comprises a support member (413) having an engaging element (414), the engaging element (414) being configured to engage in an indent (107) on the injection device (1) when the body (400) is disposed in the specific position relative to an outside surface of the injection device (1), and

    wherein the closure (410) is configured to act on the support member (413) to urge the engaging element (414) into the indent (107) when the closure (410) is in its secured position so that the body (400) is secured to the injection device (1) in the specific position.


     
    2. A supplementary device (2) according to claim 1, wherein the support member (413) is a first support member and the engaging unit further comprises a second support member, engaging elements being disposed at the free end (415) of each support member (413), and the free ends (415) of the support members (413) being biased towards each other.
     
    3. A supplementary device (2) according to claim 2, wherein each support member (413) is pivotally mounted in the body (400) about a mid-section so that the free ends (415) of the support members (413) may be biased away from each other to disengage the engaging elements (414) from the indents (107).
     
    4. A supplementary device (2) according to any preceding claim, wherein the mating unit further comprises a catch arrangement configured to releasably retain the closure (410) in its secured position.
     
    5. A supplementary device (2) for attaching to a manually operable injection device (1) in a specific position relative to an outside surface of the injection device (1), the supplementary device (2) comprising:

    a body (300) having a front end (304) and a rear end (305);

    an engaging unit configured to engage the supplementary device (2) with the injection device (1); and

    a mating unit configured to releasably mount the body to the injection device (1) in the specific position relative to an outside surface of the injection device (1), wherein the mating unit comprises:

    a collar (301) extending from the front end (304) of the body (300) at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the body (300) and configured to receive the injection device (1) so that the injection device (1) extends through the collar (301), wherein the collar (301) comprises an opening (309);

    wherein the collar comprises an upper part (314) and a lower part (315),

    wherein first and second locating surfaces (317, 316) are defined on the lower part (315) and the upper part (314) of the collar respectively and are spaced from each other to receive the injection device (1) therebetween, wherein the first locating surface (317) and the second locating surface (316) define a cylinder and are offset from each other in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body such that no part of the first locating surface (317) is directly opposite the second locating surface (316) in the direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body,

    wherein the engaging unit comprises a support member having a protuberance (322) acting as an engaging element,

    wherein the second locating surface (316) is disposed between the first locating surface (317) and the engaging element,

    wherein the supplementary device is configured to be pivoted relative to the injection device about an axis extending perpendicular to the major axis of the opening (309) between a first position, in which the injection device (1) is slidably receivable through the opening of the collar (301) and a secured position in which, when the injection device is received through the opening, the first and second locating surfaces (317,316) are located against opposite outer surfaces of the injection device (1),

    wherein, when the injection device is received through the opening and the supplementary device is pivoted relative to the injection device from the first position to the secured position:

    the first and second locating surfaces (317,316) are each moved towards the outer surface of the injection device, and

    the engaging element of the support member is configured to become engaged in an indent (107) on the injection device (1) and a rear section of the injection device is received in an injection device receiving channel (207) so that the supplementary device is secured to the injection device,

    wherein, when the injection device is received through the opening and the supplementary device is in the secured position:

    movement of the supplementary device in a radial direction from the injection device is inhibited by the collar extending around the injection device and the engaging element being engaged in the indent, and

    movement of the supplementary device along a longitudinal axis of the injection device and about the longitudinal axis of the injection device is inhibited by the engaging element being engaged in the indent.


     
    6. A supplementary device (2) according to claim 5, wherein the support member (320) is a first support member and the engaging unit further comprises a second support member, wherein the engaging elements (322) are disposed at the free end (321) of each support member (320), and wherein the free ends (321) of the support members (320) are biased towards each other.
     
    7. A supplementary device (2) according to claim 6, wherein each support member (320) is pivotally mounted in the body about a mid-section so that the free ends (321) of the support members (320) may be biased away from each other to disengage the engaging elements (322) from the indents (107).
     
    8. A supplementary device (2) according to any preceding claim, wherein the mating unit further comprises a locating recess (318) in the body (300), the locating recess (318) being configured to mate with a locating rib (105) on the injection device (1).
     
    9. A supplementary device (2) according to any preceding claim, further comprising an optical reading arrangement (25) and wherein the optical reading arrangement (25) is directed at a display (13) of the injection device (1) when the body is mounted to the injection device (1) in a specific position relative to an outside surface of the injection device (1).
     
    10. A kit comprising an injection device (1) and a supplementary device (2) according to any preceding claim.
     


    Ansprüche

    1. Zusatzvorrichtung (2) zum Anbringen an einer manuell betätigbaren Injektionsvorrichtung (1) in einer spezifischen Position relativ zu einer Außenfläche der Injektionsvorrichtung (1), wobei die Zusatzvorrichtung (2) Folgendes aufweist:

    einen Körper (400) mit einem Kanal (407) zur Aufnahme der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) und

    eine Gegeneinheit, die dazu ausgestaltet ist, den Körper (400) lösbar in der spezifischen Position relativ zu der Außenfläche der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) an der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) zu montieren,

    wobei die Gegeneinheit einen Bund (401) aufweist, der sich von dem Körper (400) erstreckt und zur Aufnahme der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) ausgestaltet ist, so dass sich die Injektionsvorrichtung (1) durch den Bund (401) erstreckt, wobei der Bund (401) einen Verschluss (410) aufweist, der um eine Rotationsachse, die quer zu der Längsachse des Kanals zur Aufnahme der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) verläuft, zu dem Körper (400) hin drehbar ist, um den Körper (400) an der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) zu befestigen,

    wobei die Gegeneinheit ferner eine Eingriffseinheit aufweist, die dazu ausgestaltet ist, die Zusatzvorrichtung (2) mit der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) in Eingriff zu bringen,

    wobei die Eingriffseinheit ein Stützglied (413) mit einem Eingriffselement (414) aufweist, wobei das Eingriffselement (414) dazu ausgestaltet ist, in einer Vertiefung (107) an der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) in Eingriff zu gelangen, wenn der Körper (400) in der spezifischen Position relativ zu einer Außenfläche der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) angeordnet ist, und

    wobei der Verschluss (410) dazu ausgestaltet ist, auf das Stützglied (413) zu wirken, um das Eingriffselement (414) in die Vertiefung (107) zu drängen, wenn der Verschluss (410) in seiner befestigten Position ist, so dass der Körper (400) in der spezifischen Position an der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) befestigt ist.


     
    2. Zusatzvorrichtung (2) nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Stützglied (413) ein erstes Stützglied ist und die Eingriffseinheit ferner ein zweites Stützglied aufweist, wobei Eingriffselemente an dem freien Ende (415) jedes Stützglieds (413) angeordnet sind und die freien Enden (415) der Stützglieder (413) aufeinander zu vorgespannt sind.
     
    3. Zusatzvorrichtung (2) nach Anspruch 2, wobei jedes Stützglied (413) um einen mittleren Abschnitt schwenkbar in dem Körper (400) montiert ist, so dass die freien Enden (415) der Stützglieder (413) voneinander weg vorgespannt werden können, um die Eingriffselemente (414) aus den Vertiefungen (107) auszurücken.
     
    4. Zusatzvorrichtung (2) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Gegeneinheit ferner eine Sperranordnung aufweist, die dazu ausgestaltet ist, den Verschluss (410) lösbar in seiner befestigten Position zu halten.
     
    5. Zusatzvorrichtung (2) zum Anbringen an einer manuell betätigbaren Injektionsvorrichtung (1) in einer spezifischen Position relativ zu einer Außenfläche der Injektionsvorrichtung (1), wobei die Zusatzvorrichtung (2) Folgendes aufweist:

    einen Körper (300) mit einem vorderen Ende (304) und einem hinteren Ende (305),

    eine Eingriffseinheit, die dazu ausgestaltet ist, die Zusatzvorrichtung (2) mit der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) in Eingriff zu bringen, und

    eine Gegeneinheit, die dazu ausgestaltet ist, den Körper lösbar in der spezifischen Position relativ zu einer Außenfläche der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) an der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) zu montieren, wobei die Gegeneinheit Folgendes aufweist:

    einen Bund (301), der sich in einem spitzen Winkel zu der Längsachse des Körpers (300) von dem vorderen Ende (304) des Körpers (300) erstreckt und zur Aufnahme der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) ausgestaltet ist, so dass sich die Injektionsvorrichtung (1) durch den Bund (301) erstreckt, wobei der Bund (301) eine Öffnung (309) aufweist,

    wobei der Bund einen oberen Teil (314) und einen unteren Teil (315) aufweist,

    wobei eine erste und eine zweite Lokalisierungsfläche (317, 316) an dem unteren Teil (315) bzw. dem oberen Teil (314) des Bunds definiert und zur Aufnahme der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) dazwischen voneinander beabstandet sind, wobei die erste Lokalisierungsfläche (317) und die zweite Lokalisierungsfläche (316) einen Zylinder definieren und in einer parallel zu der Längsachse des Körpers verlaufenden Richtung voneinander versetzt sind, so dass kein Teil der ersten Lokalisierungsfläche (317) der zweiten Lokalisierungsfläche (316) in der parallel zu der Längsachse des Körpers verlaufenden Richtung gegenüberliegt,

    wobei die Eingriffseinheit ein Stützglied mit einem als ein Eingriffselement wirkenden Vorsprung (322) aufweist,

    wobei die zweite Lokalisierungsfläche (316) zwischen der ersten Lokalisierungsfläche (317) und dem Eingriffselement angeordnet ist,

    wobei die Zusatzvorrichtung dazu ausgestaltet ist, um eine sich senkrecht zu der Hauptachse der Öffnung (309) erstreckende Achse relativ zu der Injektionsvorrichtung zwischen einer ersten Position, in der die Injektionsvorrichtung (1) verschiebbar durch die Öffnung des Bunds (301) aufnehmbar ist, und einer befestigten Position zu schwenken, in der die erste und die zweite Lokalisierungsfläche (317, 316), wenn die Injektionsvorrichtung durch die Öffnung aufgenommen ist, gegen gegenüberliegenden Außenflächen der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) angeordnet sind,

    wobei, wenn die Injektionsvorrichtung durch die Öffnung aufgenommen ist und die Zusatzvorrichtung relativ zu der Injektionsvorrichtung aus der ersten Position in die befestigte Position geschwenkt worden ist:

    die erste und die zweite Lokalisierungsfläche (317, 316) jeweils zu der Außenfläche der Injektionsvorrichtung hin bewegt werden und

    das Eingriffselement des Stützglieds dazu ausgestaltet ist, in einer Vertiefung (107) an der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) in Eingriff zu gelangen, und ein hinterer Abschnitt der Injektionsvorrichtung in einem Injektionsvorrichtungsaufnahmekanal (207) aufgenommen wird, so dass die Zusatzvorrichtung an der Injektionsvorrichtung befestigt ist,

    wobei, wenn die Injektionsvorrichtung durch die Öffnung aufgenommen ist und die Zusatzvorrichtung in der befestigten Position ist:

    eine Bewegung der Zusatzvorrichtung in eine radiale Richtung von der Injektionsvorrichtung dadurch verhindert wird, dass sich der Bund um die Injektionsvorrichtung herum erstreckt und das Eingriffselement in der Vertiefung in Eingriff steht, und

    eine Bewegung der Zusatzvorrichtung entlang einer Längsachse der Injektionsvorrichtung und um die Längsachse der Injektionsvorrichtung dadurch verhindert wird, dass das Eingriffselement in der Vertiefung in Eingriff steht.


     
    6. Zusatzvorrichtung (2) nach Anspruch 5, wobei das Stützglied (320) ein erstes Stützglied ist und die Eingriffseinheit ferner ein zweites Stützglied aufweist, wobei die Eingriffselemente (322) an dem freien Ende (321) jedes Stützglieds (320) angeordnet sind und wobei die freien Enden (321) der Stützglieder (320) aufeinander zu vorgespannt sind.
     
    7. Zusatzvorrichtung (2) nach Anspruch 6, wobei jedes Stützglied (320) um einen mittleren Abschnitt schwenkbar in dem Körper montiert ist, so dass die freien Enden (321) der Stützglieder (320) voneinander weg vorgespannt werden können, um die Eingriffselemente (322) aus den Vertiefungen (107) auszurücken.
     
    8. Zusatzvorrichtung (2) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Gegeneinheit ferner eine Lokalisierungsaussparung (318) in dem Körper (300) aufweist, wobei die Lokalisierungsaussparung (318) dazu ausgestaltet ist, mit einer Lokalisierungsrippe (105) an der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) zusammenzuwirken.
     
    9. Zusatzvorrichtung (2) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, ferner aufweisend eine optische Leseanordnung (25), und wobei die optische Leseanordnung (25) auf eine Anzeige (13) der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) gerichtet ist, wenn der Körper in einer spezifischen Position relativ zu einer Außenfläche der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) an der Injektionsvorrichtung (1) montiert ist.
     
    10. Kit, aufweisend eine Injektionsvorrichtung (1) und eine Zusatzvorrichtung (2) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche.
     


    Revendications

    1. Dispositif supplémentaire (2) destiné à être fixé à un dispositif d'injection à commande manuelle (1) dans une position spécifique par rapport à une surface extérieure du dispositif d'injection (1), le dispositif supplémentaire (2) comprenant :

    un corps (400) ayant un canal (407) recevant un dispositif d'injection (1) ; et

    une unité d'accouplement configurée pour monter de manière amovible le corps (400) sur le dispositif d'injection (1) dans la position spécifique par rapport à la surface extérieure du dispositif d'injection (1),

    l'unité d'accouplement comprenant un collier (401) s'étendant depuis le corps (400) et configuré pour recevoir le dispositif d'injection (1) de telle sorte que le dispositif d'injection (1) s'étende à travers le collier (401), le collier (401) comprenant une fermeture (410) qui peut tourner vers le corps (400) autour d'un axe de rotation qui est transversal à l'axe longitudinal du canal recevant un dispositif d'injection (1) de manière à fixer le corps (400) au dispositif d'injection (1),

    l'unité d'accouplement comprenant en outre une unité d'engagement configurée pour mettre en prise le dispositif supplémentaire (2) avec le dispositif d'injection (1),

    l'unité d'engagement comprenant un organe de support (413) ayant un élément d'engagement (414), l'élément d'engagement (414) étant configuré pour s'engager dans une indentation (107) sur le dispositif d'injection (1) lorsque le corps (400) est disposé dans la position spécifique par rapport à une surface extérieure du dispositif d'injection (1), et

    la fermeture (410) étant configurée pour agir sur l'organe de support (413) de manière à pousser l'élément d'engagement (414) dans l'indentation (107) lorsque la fermeture (410) est dans sa position fixée de telle sorte que le corps (400) soit fixé au dispositif d'injection (1) dans la position spécifique.


     
    2. Dispositif supplémentaire (2) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel l'organe de support (413) est un premier organe de support et l'unité d'engagement comprend en outre un deuxième organe de support, des éléments d'engagement étant disposés au niveau de l'extrémité libre (415) de chaque organe de support (413), et les extrémités libres (415) des organes de support (413) étant sollicitées l'une vers l'autre.
     
    3. Dispositif supplémentaire (2) selon la revendication 2, dans lequel chaque organe de support (413) est monté de manière pivotante dans le corps (400) autour d'une section centrale de telle sorte que les extrémités libres (415) des organes de support (413) puissent être sollicitées à l'écart l'une de l'autre de manière à désengager les éléments d'engagement (414) des indentations (107) .
     
    4. Dispositif supplémentaire (2) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel l'unité d'accouplement comprend en outre un agencement de taquet configuré pour retenir de manière amovible la fermeture (410) dans sa position fixée.
     
    5. Dispositif supplémentaire (2) destiné à être fixé à un dispositif d'injection à commande manuelle (1) dans une position spécifique par rapport à une surface extérieure du dispositif d'injection (1), le dispositif supplémentaire (2) comprenant :

    un corps (300) ayant une extrémité avant (304) et une extrémité arrière (305) ;

    une unité d'engagement configurée pour mettre en prise le dispositif supplémentaire (2) avec le dispositif d'injection (1) ; et

    une unité d'accouplement configurée pour monter de manière amovible le corps sur le dispositif d'injection (1) dans la position spécifique par rapport à une surface extérieure du dispositif d'injection (1), l'unité d'accouplement comprenant :

    un collier (301) s'étendant depuis l'extrémité avant (304) du corps (300) suivant un angle aigu par rapport à l'axe longitudinal du corps (300) et configuré pour recevoir le dispositif d'injection (1) de telle sorte que le dispositif d'injection (1) s'étende à travers le collier (301), le collier (301) comprenant une ouverture (309) ;

    le collier comprenant une partie supérieure (314) et une partie inférieure (315),

    des première et deuxième surfaces de positionnement (317, 316) étant définies respectivement sur la partie inférieure (315) et la partie supérieure (314) du collier, et étant espacées l'une de l'autre pour recevoir entre elles le dispositif d'injection (1), la première surface de positionnement (317) et la deuxième surface de positionnement (316) définissant un cylindre et étant décalées l'une de l'autre dans une direction parallèle à l'axe longitudinal du corps de telle sorte qu'aucune partie de la première surface de positionnement (317) ne soit directement opposée à la deuxième surface de positionnement (316) dans la direction parallèle à l'axe longitudinal du corps,

    l'unité d'engagement comprenant un organe de support ayant une protubérance (322) agissant en tant qu'élément d'engagement,

    la deuxième surface de positionnement (316) étant disposée entre la première surface de positionnement (317) et l'élément d'engagement,

    le dispositif supplémentaire étant configuré pour être pivoté par rapport au dispositif d'injection autour d'un axe s'étendant perpendiculairement au grand axe de l'ouverture (309) entre une première position dans laquelle le dispositif d'injection (1) peut être reçu par coulissement à travers l'ouverture du collier (301), et une position fixée dans laquelle, lorsque le dispositif d'injection est reçu à travers l'ouverture, les première et deuxième surfaces de positionnement (317, 316) sont positionnées contre des surfaces extérieures opposées du dispositif d'injection (1),

    lorsque le dispositif d'injection est reçu à travers l'ouverture et que le dispositif supplémentaire est pivoté par rapport au dispositif d'injection de la première position à la position fixée :

    les première et deuxième surfaces de positionnement (317, 316) étant chacune déplacées vers la surface extérieure du dispositif d'injection, et

    l'élément d'engagement de l'organe de support étant configuré pour se trouver engagé dans une indentation (107) sur le dispositif d'injection (1) et une section arrière du dispositif d'injection étant reçue dans un canal (207) recevant un dispositif d'injection de telle sorte que le dispositif supplémentaire soit fixé au dispositif d'injection,

    lorsque le dispositif d'injection est reçu à travers l'ouverture et que le dispositif supplémentaire est dans la position fixée :

    le mouvement du dispositif supplémentaire dans une direction radiale depuis le dispositif d'injection étant inhibé par le collier s'étendant autour du dispositif d'injection et par l'élément d'engagement engagé dans l'indentation, et

    le mouvement du dispositif supplémentaire le long d'un axe longitudinal du dispositif d'injection et autour de l'axe longitudinal du dispositif d'injection étant inhibé par l'élément d'engagement engagé dans l'indentation.


     
    6. Dispositif supplémentaire (2) selon la revendication 5, dans lequel l'organe de support (320) est un premier organe de support et l'unité d'engagement comprend en outre un deuxième organe de support, les éléments d'engagement (322) étant disposés au niveau de l'extrémité libre (321) de chaque organe de support (320), et les extrémités libres (321) des organes de support (320) étant sollicitées l'une vers l'autre.
     
    7. Dispositif supplémentaire (2) selon la revendication 6, dans lequel chaque organe de support (320) est monté de manière pivotante dans le corps autour d'une section centrale de telle sorte que les extrémités libres (321) des organes de support (320) puissent être sollicitées à l'écart l'une de l'autre de manière à désengager les éléments d'engagement (322) des indentations (107) .
     
    8. Dispositif supplémentaire (2) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel l'unité d'accouplement comprend en outre un renfoncement de positionnement (318) dans le corps (300), le renfoncement de positionnement (318) étant configuré pour s'accoupler avec une nervure de positionnement (105) sur le dispositif d'injection (1) .
     
    9. Dispositif supplémentaire (2) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre un agencement de lecture optique (25) et dans lequel l'agencement de lecture optique (25) est orienté vers un affichage (13) du dispositif d'injection (1) lorsque le corps est monté sur le dispositif d'injection (1) dans une position spécifique par rapport à une surface extérieure du dispositif d'injection (1).
     
    10. Kit comprenant un dispositif d'injection (1) et un dispositif supplémentaire (2) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes.
