Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a clip for eyelash extensions, and more particularly, to a clip for eyelash extensions, which allows an eyelash extension to be conveniently attached.

[Background Art]

[0002] An eyelash is very important in terms of beauty treatment. Particularly, women generally prefer a long eyelash curved upwards, and such an eyelash shape is generally formed using mascara.

[0003] The mascara is a most convenient tool for modifying an eyelash into an appropriate shape and cosmeticizing the modified eyelash in a black color.

[0004] The above method may be conveniently applied to form a more beautiful eyelash when the eyelash is long. However, if an eyelash is short, a false eyelash is separately attached for better appearance.

[0005] The false eyelash is composed of an eyelash portion and a base portion, and the base portion is coated with an adhesive and attached to an eyelid.

[0006] Such a false eyelash should be exquisitely attached directly by a user, and thus it may take a long time to attach the false eyelash, so inconveniently, if the user does not have sufficient skill. In order to overcome the above drawback, Korean Utility Model Registration No. 165452 proposes an attachment tool for allowing an eyelash to be easily attached.

[0007] However, in spite of excellent expression, the above false eyelash is a disposable and thus a new false eyelash should be attached whenever necessary. In addition, the false eyelash should be carried when the user is on the outside.

[0008] Meanwhile, if an eyelash is short, the user may use an eyelash extending technique instead of the false eyelash. The eyelash extending technique is generally treated skin care shops or beauty parlors, and eyelash extensions are separately attached to several eyelashes by an adhesive to express long eyelashes. This eyelash extending technique is frequently used since the extended eyelashes are maintained about several months after treatment, and there are many prior techniques in relation to an eyelash extension attaching methods.

[0009] For example, Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2011-87658 discloses a method for extending an eyelash by using an adhesive which operates at a specific optical wavelength. This method allows the adhesive to function at a specific optical wavelength, thereby ensuring convenient works using the adhesive.

[0010] In addition, Korean Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2005-94973 discloses a method for make a perm to eyelashes.

[0011] In this perm method, eyelash extensions are attached, and then the entire eyelashes are set. Thus, after making a perm, the user just need to simply cosmeticize the eyelashes in a block color by using mascara, which may reduce time required for cosmeticizing eyelashes and also maintain the permed eyelashes for a relatively longer time after treatment.

[0012] However, even though the above eyelash extending technique has an excellent advantage in improving an expression of short eyelashes, the eyelash extending technique requires much time since eyelashes should be extended manually one by one. In addition, the eyelash extending technique is treated at specialized shops and cannot be directly treated by a user.

[0013] Therefore, there is needed an attachment instrument which allows eyelashes to be rapidly extended, even though it has been performed manually, and also allows eyelashes to be extended directly by a user. In addition, there is also needed a clip for eyelash extensions, which may be conveniently used for the attachment instrument.

[Disclosure]

[Technical Problem]

[0014] The present disclosure is designed to overcome drawbacks of the above eyelash extending technique and is directed to providing a clip used for an eyelash extension attaching instrument, which allows an eyelash extension coated with an adhesive to be conveniently and rapidly attached to an existing eyelash.

[Technical Solution]

[0015] In one general aspect, the present disclosure provides a clip for eyelash extensions, which is used for an eyelash extensions attaching unit for attaching an artificial eyelash extension to an eyelash for beauty treatment, characterized in that the clip is composed of a lower end portion and an upper end portion capable of being coupled to or separated from a top end of the lower end portion, and an eyelash extension set coated with an adhesive is located between the upper end portion and the lower end portion.

[0016] The lower end portion may include a sidewall formed upwards, a lower wall formed downwards, a projection formed on the sidewall and a projection formed on the lower wall, the upper end portion may include a lower wall formed at a side and a plurality of projections formed on the lower wall, and the upper end portion may be fixed to the lower end portion by coupling one of the plurality of projections to the projection formed on the sidewall.

[0017] The upper end portion and the lower end portion may be made of metal or synthetic resin.

[0018] The plurality of projections formed on the upper end portion may be composed of three projections.

[0019] The clip may be separated after being used by the attaching unit.

[0020] A groove may be formed between the upper end portion and the lower end portion so that the eyelash extension set is placed therein.

[Advantageous Effects]

[0021] The clip for eyelash extensions according to the present disclosure allows an eyelash to be extended rapidly since an eyelash extension treatment, which has been performed manually, may be performed through a simple operation, and the eyelash extending technique may be conveniently treated directly by a user.

[Best Mode]

[0023] Hereinafter, the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to accompanying drawings.

[0024] A clip 300 for eyelash extensions according to the present disclosure is used together with an eyelash extension attaching instrument 10. As shown in Fig. 1, the eyelash extension attaching instrument 10 includes an eyelash fixture 100, an eyelash extension set 200, a clip 300 for storing and fixing the eyelash extension set 200, and an attaching unit 400.

[0025] First, the eyelash fixture 100 plays a role of fixing an eyelash of a person subject to the treatment (hereinafter, referred to as a 'user') and is attached to the front of the eye of the user to fix the eyelash.

[0026] The eyelash extension set 200 is bound to an artificial eyelash extension by an adhesive, and a unit eyelash is fixed by the adhesive in advance.

[0027] The eyelash extension set 200 is fixed by the clip 300, and the clip 300 plays a role of fixing the eyelash extension set 200 to the attaching unit 400 so that the adhesive of the eyelash extension set 200 may be located at a heating portion of the attaching unit 400.

[0028] The attaching unit 400 is manually operated by a worker to melt the adhesive coated at the eyelash extension set 200 and attach the adhesive to an eyelash, and the attaching unit 400 is used at a final stage during the eyelash extending technique.

[0029] Hereinafter, the unit configuration will be described in more detail.

[0030] As shown in Fig. 2, the eyelash fixture 100 includes a frame-type base 110 having a shape corresponding to an outer contour of the eye.

[0031] The base 110 may be made of synthetic resin, and an accommodation portion 120 for accommodating a movable portion 130 is formed therein. The accommodation portion 120 has four sides, where a top side 121 gives a place where an eyelash is located and has an arc shape similar to an outer shape of the eye, a left side 122 and a right side 123 have straight shapes so that the movable portion 130 moves therein, and a bottom side 124 may have a straight shape though not being limited thereto.

[0032] Meanwhile, the movable portion 130 is included in the accommodation portion 120, and the movable portion 130 has the same shape as the accommodation portion 120 and a smaller height than the accommodation portion 120 so that the accommodation portion 120 may move vertically.

[0033] In particular, the top end 131 of the movable portion 130 has the same shape as the top side 121, and an eyelash is fixed between the top end 131 and the top side 121.

[0034] In addition, a spring 111 is connected between the base 110 and the movable portion 130, and the spring 111 is configured to always give a compressing force so that the top end 131 of the movable portion 130 keeps in contact with the top side 121.

[0035] Moreover, if necessary, a protrusion 132 may be formed at a lower end of the movable portion 130 so that the movable portion 130 may be easily moved. At this time, a protrusion 132 may also be formed on the base 110 at a location corresponding to the protrusion 132 so that the movable portion 130 may be easily moved by gripping the protrusion 132.

[0036] Meanwhile, a plurality of grooves 135 are formed in the top end 131 of the movable portion 130 at regular intervals for alignment of eyelashes, as shown in Fig. 3. The groove 135 may have any shape, and a triangular shape is advantageous when accommodating eyelashes.

[0037] The grooves 135 may be formed at the top side 121 or at both of the top side 121 and the top end 131. When being formed at both of the top side 121 and the top end 131, the grooves 135 may be provided so that grooves at both of the top side 121 and the top end 131 correspond to each other. In other words, if the groove 135 of the top end 131 has a convex shape, the groove 135 formed in the top side 121 may have a concave shape so that the grooves 135 may engage with each other, which is effective in alignment of eyelashes.

[0038] In addition, if the groove 135 has a convex shape, the groove 135 may protrude to the front so that the attaching unit 400, explained later, may be aligned with eyelashes.

[0039] Moreover, a contact portion between the top end 131 and the top side 121 may have two stages as shown in Fig. 4. This contact structure enhances alignment with the grooves 135 since eyelashes may be bent appropriately.

[0040] If the eyelash fixture 100 is used, when the protrusion 132 is gripped and pressed, the movable portion 130 moves to a lower end of the accommodation portion 120 to form a space between the top side 121 and the top end 131, and if eyelashes are located in the space and the gripped protrusion 132 is released, the eyelashes are strongly fixed to the top side 121 and the top end 131 due to the spring 111, and also the eyelashes are aligned by the grooves 135, which allows attachment of eyelashes later.

[0041] Next, the eyelash extension set 200 will be described with reference to Fig. 5.

[0042] As shown in Fig. 5, the eyelash extension set 200 is configured so that a plurality of artificial eyelashes 201 are arranged horizontally by an adhesive 202.

[0043] The adhesive 202 may be melted at a specific temperature, and the melting temperature may be appropriately selected, at least from 40°C to 80°C. If the melting point is lower than 40°C, eyelash extensions attached to the eyelashes may be detached at normal temperature. If the melting point is higher than 80°C, a user may be burned during treatment.

[0044] The artificial eyelashes 201 maintain its arrangement by a coagulated adhesive 202, and at this time, the artificial eyelashes 201 may be arranged to have regular intervals with each other.

[0045] Next, the clip 300 will be described with reference to Fig. 6.

[0046] The clip 300 plays a role of transferring the heat generated by the attaching unit 400, explained later, to the eyelash extension set 200 and also supporting the eyelash extension set 200.

[0047] The clip 300 is composed of a lower end portion 310 and an upper end portion 350 and may be made of metal material with excellent heat transfer.

[0048] The lower end portion 310 includes a flat portion 311 and sidewalls 312 bent from the flat portion 311 at both sides thereof. A projection 313 is formed at the center of the sidewall 312 for fixture, respectively.

[0049] In addition, lower walls 314 are formed at both sides below the flat portion 311, and a projection 315 is also formed for fixing each lower wall 314.

[0050] Meanwhile, an upper wall 351 is formed at a side of the upper end portion 350, and a plurality of projections 352 are formed on the upper wall 351.

[0051] The projection 352 is formed by compression molding, so that one side of the projection 352 has a convex shape like a projection and the other side has a concave shape to which a protrusion of another projection may be coupled.

[0052] The upper end portion 350 is located between the sidewalls 312 of the lower end portion 310, and the projection 313 is coupled to a center of three projections 352 and fixed to the upper end portion 350.

[0053] In other words, the upper end portion 350 may be coupled to or separated from the lower end portion 310.

[0054] The upper end portion 350 and the lower end portion 310 may be, for example, fabricated by cutting and shaping a single metal plate, which may enhance productivity.

[0055] The eyelash extension set 200 is located between the upper end portion 350 and the lower end portion 310, so that the eyelash extension set 200 may be fixed by coupling the upper end portion 350 and the lower end portion 310.

[0056] If necessary, the eyelash extension set 200 and the clip 300 may be integrated as a single product.

[0057] Next, the attaching unit 400 will be described with reference to Fig. 7.

[0058] As described above, the attaching unit 400 plays a role of melting the adhesive of the eyelash extension set 200 integrated with the clip 300 and attaching the eyelash extension set 200 to an eyelash. Therefore, the attaching unit 400 includes a heating portion, and also includes a pressing portion for manual work.

[0059] First, the attaching unit 400 is composed of a lower body 410 and an upper body 450, and one ends of the lower body 410 and the upper body 450 are connected using a hinge 470 so as to be pivotal. If necessary, a stopper 471 for stopping a pivotal movement may be located at the lower body 410, which is one side of the hinge 470, so as to limit relative rotations of the lower body 410 and the upper body 450.

[0060] In addition, a rotary spring 472 is connected between the lower body 410 and the upper body 450, and the rotary spring 472 always give a compressing force so that the lower body 410 and the upper body 450 maintain an opened state.

[0061] A lower tip 420 made of metal is attached to the other end of the lower body 410. The upper surface of the lower tip 420 is formed flat so that the clip 300 may be placed thereon, and the lower tip 420 includes a heating unit 421 therein to give a heat by an external power source.

[0062] The heating unit 421 may be operated by a manual switch located at the lower body 410 or the upper body 450, and the heating unit 421 may be implemented as an operation switch 429 which is formed to protrude on the lower body 410 so as to operate when the upper body 450 approaches the lower body 410 with a certain angle. The power source may be an external power source connected thereto, and if necessary, a battery may be used for recharging. In addition, it is also possible to use an external power source and a battery together.

[0063] In addition, a lower groove 423 is formed at a side of the lower tip 420 to accommodate the projection 315 formed on the lower wall 312 of the lower end portion 310 of the clip 300, so that the lower end portion 310 may be fixed to an accurate location.

[0064] Moreover, as shown in Fig. 8, a plurality of alignment grooves 424 for aligning eyelashes are formed at a front edge of the lower tip 420, and the alignment grooves 424 may exactly align eyelashes in association with the grooves 135 of the eyelash fixture 100.

[0065] Meanwhile, the upper body 450 includes an upper tip 460 at a lower end, which is in contact with the lower tip 420.

[0066] The upper tip 460 may be made of the same material as the lower tip 420, and plays a role of pressing the eyelash extension set 200 for adhesion with eyelashes. Therefore, the lower surface of the upper tip 460 may be flat.

[0067] A plurality of upper grooves 461 are formed at a side of the upper tip 460. The upper grooves 461 are coupled with the projections 352 of the upper wall 351 of the upper end portion 350 of the clip 300, and the number of the upper grooves 461 may be identical to the number of the projections 352.

[0068] In addition, if necessary, an alignment groove 462 may be formed at a front edge of the upper tip 460 in the same way as the lower tip 420.

[0069] Meanwhile, if the clip 300 is fixed to the lower tip 420, the upper tip 460 plays a role of pressing the eyelash extension set 200 and the eyelashes located at the clip 300. If the attachment is completed, the upper end portion 350 and the lower end portion 310 of the clip 300 are separated and respectively fixed to the upper tip 460 and the lower tip 420, and the eyelash extension set 200 located between the upper end portion 350 and the lower end portion 310 is attached to the eyelashes, thereby completing the work.

[0070] The reason for separating the upper end portion 350 and the lower end portion 310 of the clip 300 as described above is to prevent the adhesive 202 of the eyelash extension set 200 from being attached to a portion other than the eyelashes and thus being not detached. Once used, the clip 300 may be removed, and the eyelash extension set 200 and the clip 300 may be provided as an integrated product and may also be used as a disposable.

[0071] Next, a method for using the eyelash extension attaching instrument 10 according to the present disclosure will be described in detail.

[0072] The eyelash extension attaching instrument 10 includes an eyelash fixture 100, an eyelash extension set 200, a clip 300 for storing and fixing the eyelash extension set 200, and an attaching unit 400.

[0073] First, eyelashes are located in a space exposed by moving the movable portion 130 of the eyelash fixture 100 downwards, and then the movable portion 130 is slowly moved back to its original position, thereby fixing the eyelashes.

[0074] In addition, an integrated product of the eyelash extension set 200 and the clip 300 is fixed to the lower tip 420 of the attaching unit 400.

[0075] Next, the eyelashes fixed by moving the attaching unit 400 are located at the adhesive 202 of the eyelash extension set 200 where the clip 300 is located.

[0076] Next, the upper body 450 of the attaching unit 400 is pressed for a predetermined time so that the adhesive 202 is melted and eyelash extensions are adhered to the eyelashes.

[0077] Next, if the pressing force applied to the upper body 450 of the attaching unit 400 is released, the upper end portion 350 of the clip 300 is separated, thereby completely adhering a single eyelash extension set 200.

[0078] After that, another eyelash extension set 200 and another clip 300 are fixed to the attaching unit 400 and adhered to other eyelashes in the same way as above. In this way, all eyelashes are completely attached.

[0079] Meanwhile, when the attaching unit 400 separately includes the heating unit 421 at the front of the lower tip 420 or upper tip 460, the eyelash extension set 200 coated with an adhesive should be located out of the clip 300.

[0080] In this structure, a heat is not directly transferred to the clip 300, and thus the clip 300 may be made of synthetic resin.

[0081] In addition, a groove may be formed between the lower end portion 310 and the upper end portion 350 of the clip 300 so that the eyelash extension set 200 may be easily fixed.

[0082] Moreover, the lower end portion 310 and the upper end portion 350 may be made of different kinds of materials. For example, the upper end portion 350 may be made of synthetic resin, and the lower end portion 310 may be made of metal.

[0083] Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the conceptions and specific embodiments disclosed in the foregoing description may be readily utilized as a basis for modifying or designing other embodiments for carrying out the same purposes of the present disclosure. Those skilled in the art will also appreciate that such equivalent embodiments do not depart from the spirit and scope of the disclosure as set forth in the appended claims.
