    Description


    [0001] The present invention relates to a mixer tap according to the preamble of claim 1.

    [0002] Mixer taps for sinks, washbasins or bidets are known, comprising a tap body made of a metal material, such as brass, in which the adjustment means of the water flow and temperature are housed. Such adjustment means typically comprise a mixing cartridge connected to hot and cold water supply tubes by means of a cartridge support base plate. A command lever is mounted on the tap body which is operationally connected to the cartridge to set the water flow and temperature. WO2009069157A1 discloses a tap comprising a tap body provided with a body coating, a water intercepting element, and a tap pipe having a dispensing outlet. The tap pipe is mechanically separated from the tap body and is provided with a pipe coating. DE19639320A1 shows another example of a tap in which the water outlet is coated by a hollow body.

    [0003] The object of the present invention is to propose a mixer tap of the type mentioned above but having a different structure, in particular lighter with the same mechanical resistance.

    [0004] Another object of the invention is to provide a mixer tap which, with the same structure, allows changing its aesthetic appearance in a simple and cost-effective manner.

    [0005] Said objects are achieved with a mixer tap according to claim 1. The dependent claims describe preferred embodiments of the tap according to the invention.

    [0006] The features and the advantages of the mixer tap according to the invention shall be made readily apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments thereof, provided purely by way of a non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying figures, in which:
    • figure 1 is a perspective exploded view of the mixer tap according to the invention;
    • figure 2 is a perspective view of the tap prior to mounting the command lever and the shell casing;
    • figure 3 is an axial section of the assembled tap;
    • figure 4 is a perspective view of the assembled tap; and
    • figure 5 is a plan bottom view of the tap.


    [0007] In said drawings, reference numeral 1 indicates a mixer tap according to the invention as a whole.

    [0008] In a general embodiment, the mixer tap 1 comprises a hollow tap body 10 made of a plastic material, such as PPS. The tap body 10 extends between a lower open end 12 and an upper end 14, which is also open.

    [0009] The lower end 12 is suitable for being connected to fastening means for fastening the tap to a tap support surface, such as the surface of a washbasin.

    [0010] For example, the lower end 12 bears an inner thread 12' to be screwed to a threaded tube 16 for mounting the tap. Moreover, the lower end 12 bears an outer thread 12" on which a washer 13 is screwed.

    [0011] A locking ring 18 is screwed on the threaded tube 16 and, with the interposition of a washer 19 and a gasket 20, it cooperates with washer 13 for fastening the tap body 10 to the support surface.

    [0012] The tap body 10 is delimited by a side wall 22 in which a side outlet opening 24 is made, for example of circular shape.

    [0013] In one embodiment, the side wall 22 is a cylindrical wall.

    [0014] Moreover, in one embodiment, lightening cavities 26 are made in a lower portion of the tap body 10, for example shaped as through windows.

    [0015] A mixer cartridge 30 is housed in a cartridge seat 32 made in the tap body 10.

    [0016] For example, the mixing cartridge 30 is of the type having a control rod 34 which superiorly protrudes from the tap body 10 through the upper open end 14.

    [0017] The mixer cartridge 30 is operationally connected to a cartridge command lever 40.

    [0018] For example, the cartridge command lever 40 is fastened to the control rod 34 of the cartridge.

    [0019] In one embodiment, the command lever 40 comprises a head portion 42 rotatable on a spherical cap 44 which closes the tap body 10. A control rod 46 extends from the head portion 42. For example, the control rod 46 is screwed to the head portion 42.

    [0020] In one embodiment, the control rod 46 is made in a single piece, for example chrome-plated brass.

    [0021] In an embodiment variant - not shown - the control rod 46 is formed by an inner bar, for example made of brass, screwed to the head portion 42 and inserted into an outer tubular element, for example made of carbon fibre or a plastic material.

    [0022] In one embodiment, the spherical cap 44 has a top opening 442 which allows the passage of the control rod 34 of the cartridge.

    [0023] Moreover, in one embodiment, such a top opening 442 bears an inner thread for the fastening thereof to a cartridge ring 50 which is in turn screwed to the upper end 14 of the tap body 10 to axially lock cartridge 30 in seat 32 thereof in the cartridge body 10.

    [0024] The mixer cartridge 30 is associated with a cartridge support base plate 60. The base plate 60 is housed in a base plate seat 62 made in the tap body 10 underneath the cartridge seat 32.

    [0025] Inlets 64, 66 are made in the base plate 60 for the entry of hot water and cold water. Such inlets 64, 66 are connected, at one end, to respective hot and cold water supply pipes from the water mains and, at the opposite end, they fluidically communicate with the mixing cartridge 30. Moreover, an outlet 68 is made in the base plate 60 connected to the mixing cartridge 30 for receiving the water flow set from the cartridge and ending with a water 70 made in the side wall of the base plate 40 and aligned to the side outlet opening 24 of the tap body 10.

    [0026] In one embodiment, the base plate 60 is made of brass.

    [0027] A water outlet tube 80 extends from the side opening 24 of the tap body 10. This water outlet tube 80 is fluidically connected with the water outlet lumen 70 of the cartridge support base plate 60.

    [0028] In one embodiment, the water outlet tube 80 comprises an output insert 82 connected to the outlet lumen 70.

    [0029] For example, such an output insert 82 is made of a metal material, for example brass.

    [0030] The output insert 82 is sealingly inserted, for example by means of at least one O-ring 84 which can also act as axial locking element, in an aerator connection pipe 86.

    [0031] In one embodiment, the aerator connection pipe 86 has a proximal end 86' which rests against the side wall 22 of the tap body 10.

    [0032] The aerator connection pipe 86 has a distal end 86" which supports, for example by means of a threaded connection, an aerator 88, for example facing downwards, fluidically communicating with the output insert 82.

    [0033] In one embodiment, the aerator connection pipe 86 is made of a plastic material.

    [0034] In one embodiment, the outlet lumen 70 of the base plate 60 has an inner thread into which a threaded end portion of the output insert 82 is screwed.

    [0035] Therefore, the water flow coming out from the outlet lumen 70 enters into the output insert 82, passes through the aerator connection pipe 86 and exits from the tube through aerator 88.

    [0036] The mixer tap according to the invention further comprises a body shell casing 90 comprising a body portion 92 which covers the tap body 10 and a tube portion 94 which covers the water outlet tube 80.

    [0037] In one embodiment, the shell casing 90 is made of carbon fibre, or chrome-plated brass or a plastic material.

    [0038] In one embodiment, the tube portion 94 of the shell is made integrally with the body portion 92.

    [0039] For example, the body portion 92 of the shell extends in height between the lower 12 and upper 14 ends of the tap body 10.

    [0040] For example, the body portion 92 of the shell extends in height from washer 13 to the base of the spherical cap 44.

    [0041] In one embodiment, the shell casing 90 is axially locked to the tap body 10 by washer 13, on one side, and by a peripheral edge 444 to the base of the spherical cap 44. For example, the outer diameter of such a peripheral edge 444 is equal to the diameter of the body portion 92 of the shell.

    [0042] Therefore, the tap body 10 is fully inserted into the body portion 92 of the shell.

    [0043] In one embodiment, also the water outlet tube 80 is fully inserted into the tube portion 94 of shell 90.

    [0046] It is noted that, since the outlet tube 80 is made as a separate component from the tap body 10 and connected to the support base plate 60 after the latter has been inserted into the tap body, it is possible to mount the shell casing 90 provided with tube portion 94 on the tap body 10 and then insert the outlet tube 80 into the tube portion 94 and connect the outlet tube 80 to the cartridge support base plate 60.

    [0047] This construction allows making the shell in one piece.

    [0048] It should be noted that the shell casing has a mainly aesthetic function. The functionality of the tap is in fact already ensured by the tap body with its internal components, the outlet tube and the command lever.

    [0049] By virtue of the shell casing, it is possible to make the tap in a variety of colours, effects, and/or surface finishes, as well as of lines.

    [0050] A shell made of carbon fibre, moreover, gives the tap a much greater lightness, with the same resistance, compared to a conventional tap with a metal body, such as brass.

    [0051] A man skilled in the art may make several changes, adjustments, adaptations and replacements of elements with other functionally equivalent ones to the embodiments of the mixer tap according to the invention in order to meet incidental needs, without departing from the scope of the following claims.


    Claims

    1. Mixer tap, comprising:

    - a hollow tap body (10) made of a plastic material and extending between a lower open end (12), suitable for connection to fastening means of the tap to a tap support surface, such as the surface of a washbasin, and an upper open end (14), the tap body having a side wall (22) in which a side outlet opening (24) is made;

    - a mixer cartridge (30) housed in a cartridge seat (32) made in the tap body;

    - a cartridge support base plate (60), housed in a base plate seat (62) made inside the tap body under the cartridge seat, hot water (64) and cold water (66) inlets being made in said cartridge base plate (60), said hot water (64) and cold water (66) inlets being connectable to respective hot and cold water supply pipes fluidically communicating with the mixing cartridge (30), and a water outlet (68) being made in said cartridge base plate (60) and being connected to the mixing cartridge and ending with a water outlet lumen (70) made in the side wall of the base plate and aligned with the side outlet opening (24) of the tap body;

    - a cartridge command lever (40) operationally connected to the mixer cartridge (30);

    - a water outlet tube (80) which extends from the side outlet opening (24) of the tap body (10) and which is connected fluidically with the water outlet lumen (70); and

    - a shell casing (90) comprising a body portion (92) which covers the tap body (10) and a tube portion (94) which covers the water outlet tube (80),
    the mixer tap being characterized in that the tube portion (94) is made in one piece with the body portion (92), the water outlet tube (80) to be inserted in the tube portion (94) and to be connected to the water outlet lumen (70) after the shell has been applied to the tap body.


     
    2. Mixer tap according to claim 1, wherein the water output tube (80) comprises an output insert (82) connected to the water output lumen (70), an aerator connection pipe (86) in which said output insert is sealingly inserted, and an aerator (88) attached to the distal end of said connection pipe and communicating with said output insert, in the tube portion (94) of the shell an aerator hole being made from which the aerator protrudes.
     
    3. Mixer tap according to the previous claim, wherein the output insert (82) is made of a metal such as brass, and the aerator connection pipe (86) is made of a plastic material.
     
    4. Mixer tap according to claim 2 or 3, wherein the distal end of the tube portion of the shell is closed by a cap (98) screwed to the end of the aerator connection pipe.
     
    5. Mixer tap according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the mixer cartridge (30) is axially locked in the tap body by a cartridge ring (50) connected, for example by screwing, to the upper end (14) of the tap body.
     
    6. Mixer tap according to any of the preceding claims, wherein a spherical cap (44), on which the cartridge control lever (40) is free to rotate, is connected, for example by screwing, to the cartridge ring (40).
     
    7. Mixer tap according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the shell casing is made of a material chosen from the group: carbon fibre, brass, plastic material.
     
    8. Mixer tap according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the tap body has a substantially cylindrical shape with a lower portion in which lightening cavities are made.
     
    9. Mixer tap according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the lower end of the tap body (10) is suitable for being connected, by screwing, to a threaded tube (16) on which a locking ring (18) is screwed for fastening the tap to the support surface.
     


    Ansprüche

    1. Mischbatterie bzw. -armatur, umfassend:

    - einen hohlen Armaturenkörper (10), der aus einem Kunststoffmaterial besteht und sich zwischen einem unteren offenen Ende (12) geeignet zur Verbindung mit Befestigungsmitteln der Armatur an einer Armaturstütz- bzw.

    - auflagefläche, wie der Fläche eines Waschbeckens, und einem oberen offenen Ende (14) erstreckt, wobei der Armaturenkörper eine Seitenwand (22) aufweist, in der eine Seitenauslassöffnung (24) gefertigt ist;

    - eine Mischerkartusche (30), die in einem Kartuschensitz (32) untergebracht ist, der in dem Armaturenkörper gefertigt ist;

    - eine Kartuschenträgerbasisplatte (60), die in einem Basisplattensitz (62) untergebracht ist, der innerhalb des Armaturenkörpers unter dem Kartuschensitz gefertigt ist, wobei Einlässe für warmes Wasser (64) und kaltes Wasser (66) in der Kartuschenbasisplatte (60) gefertigt sind, wobei die Einlässe für warmes Wasser (64) und kaltes Wasser (66) mit jeweiligen Warm- und Kaltwasserversorgungsleitungen verbindbar sind, die fluidisch mit der Mischerkartusche (30) kommunizieren bzw. in Verbindung sind, und wobei ein Wasserauslass (68) in der Kartuschenbasisplatte (60) gefertigt ist und mit der Mischerkartusche verbunden ist und mit einem Wasserauslasslumen (70) endet, das in der Seitenwand der Basisplatte gefertigt ist und mit der Seitenauslassöffnung (24) des Armaturenkörpers ausgerichtet ist;

    - einen Kartuschenkommandohebel (40), der operativ mit der Mischerkartusche (30) verbunden ist;

    - ein Wasserauslassrohr (80), das sich von der Seitenauslassöffnung (24) des Armaturenkörpers (10) erstreckt und fluidisch mit dem Wasserauslasslumen (70) verbunden ist; und

    - ein Mantelgehäuse (90), das einen Körperabschnitt (92), der den Armaturenkörper (10) bedeckt, und einen Rohrabschnitt (94) umfasst, der das Wasserauslassrohr (80) bedeckt,

    wobei die Mischbatterie dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass der Rohrabschnitt (94) in einem Stück mit dem Körperabschnitt (92) gefertigt ist, wobei das Wasserauslassrohr (80) in den Rohrabschnitt (94) einzusetzen ist und mit dem Wasserauslasslumen (70) zu verbinden ist, nachdem der Mantel an dem Armaturenkörper angebracht wurde.
     
    2. Mischbatterie nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Wasserauslassrohr (80) einen Auslasseinsatz (82), der mit dem Wasserauslasslumen (70) verbunden ist, eine Belüfterverbindungsleitung (86), in die der Auslasseinsatz dichtend eingesetzt ist, und einen Belüfter (88) umfasst, der an dem distalen Ende der Verbindungsleitung angebracht ist und mit dem Auslasseinsatz kommuniziert bzw. in Verbindung ist, wobei in dem Rohrabschnitt (94) des Mantels ein Belüfterloch gefertigt ist, aus dem der Belüfter hervorsteht.
     
    3. Mischbatterie nach dem vorherigen Anspruch, wobei der Auslasseinsatz (82) aus einem Metall wie Messing besteht und die Belüfterverbindungsleitung (86) aus einem Kunststoffmaterial besteht.
     
    4. Mischbatterie nach Anspruch 2 oder 3, wobei das distale Ende des Rohrabschnitts des Mantels durch eine Kappe (98) verschlossen ist, die an das Ende der Belüfterverbindungsleitung geschraubt ist.
     
    5. Mischbatterie nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Mischerkartusche (30) durch einen Kartuschenring (50), der beispielsweise durch Verschrauben mit dem oberen Ende (14) des Armaturenkörpers verbunden ist, axial in dem Armaturenkörper verriegelt ist.
     
    6. Mischbatterie nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei eine Kugelkappe (44), an der sich der Kartuschensteuerhebel (40) frei drehen kann, beispielsweise durch Verschrauben mit dem Kartuschenring (40) verbunden ist.
     
    7. Mischbatterie nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Mantelgehäuse aus einem Material besteht, das aus der Gruppe ausgewählt ist: Kohlefaser, Messing, Kunststoffmaterial.
     
    8. Mischbatterie nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei der Armaturenkörper eine im Wesentlichen zylindrische Form mit einem unteren Abschnitt aufweist, in dem Beleuchtungshohlräume gefertigt sind.
     
    9. Mischbatterie nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das untere Ende des Armaturenkörpers (10) geeignet ist, durch Verschrauben mit einem Gewinderohr (16) verbunden zu werden, an den ein Verriegelungs- bzw. Sicherungsring (18) zum Befestigen der Armatur an der Auflagefläche geschraubt ist.
     


    Revendications

    1. Robinet mélangeur, comprenant :

    - un corps de robinet creux (10) réalisé en un matériau plastique et s'étendant entre une extrémité ouverte inférieure (12), appropriée pour un raccordement à des moyens de fixation du robinet à une surface de support de robinet, telle que la surface d'un lavabo, et une extrémité ouverte supérieure (14), le corps de robinet ayant une paroi latérale (22) dans laquelle une ouverture de sortie latérale (24) est réalisée ;

    - une cartouche de mélange (30) logée dans un siège de cartouche (32) réalisé dans le corps de robinet ;

    - une plaque de base de support de cartouche (60), logée dans un siège de plaque de base (62) réalisé à l'intérieur du corps de robinet sous le siège de cartouche, des entrées d'eau chaude (64) et d'eau froide (66) étant réalisées dans ladite plaque de base de cartouche (60), lesdites entrées d'eau chaude (64) et d'eau froide (66) pouvant être raccordées à des tuyaux d'alimentation en eau chaude et froide respectifs communiquant fluidiquement avec la cartouche de mélange (30), et une sortie d'eau (68) étant réalisée dans ladite plaque de base de cartouche (60) et étant raccordée à la cartouche de mélange et se terminant avec une lumière de sortie d'eau (70) réalisée dans la paroi latérale de la plaque de base et alignée avec l'ouverture de sortie latérale (24) du corps de robinet ;

    - un levier de commande de cartouche (40) raccordé opérationnellement à la cartouche de mélange (30) ;

    - un tube de sortie d'eau (80) qui s'étend depuis l'ouverture de sortie latérale (24) du corps de robinet (10) et qui est raccordé fluidiquement à la lumière de sortie d'eau (70) ; et

    - un revêtement d'enveloppe (90) comprenant une partie de corps (92) qui couvre le corps de robinet (10) et une partie de tube (94) qui couvre le tube de sortie d'eau (80),

    le robinet mélangeur étant caractérisé en ce que la partie de tube (94) est réalisée d'une pièce avec la partie de corps (92), le tube de sortie d'eau (80) étant à insérer dans la partie de tube (94) et à raccorder à la lumière de sortie d'eau (70) après application de l'enveloppe sur le corps de robinet.
     
    2. Robinet mélangeur selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le tube de sortie d'eau (80) comprend un insert de débit (82) raccordé à la lumière de sortie d'eau (70), un tuyau de raccordement d'aérateur (86) dans lequel ledit insert de débit est inséré de façon étanche, et un aérateur (88) fixé à l'extrémité distale dudit tuyau de raccordement et communiquant avec ledit insert de débit, dans la partie de tube (94) de l'enveloppe un trou d'aérateur étant réalisé, depuis lequel l'aérateur fait saillie.
     
    3. Robinet mélangeur selon la revendication précédente, dans lequel l'insert de débit (82) est réalisé en un métal tel que le laiton, et le tuyau de raccordement d'aérateur (86) est réalisé en un matériau plastique.
     
    4. Robinet mélangeur selon la revendication 2 ou 3, dans lequel l'extrémité distale de la partie de tube de l'enveloppe est fermée par un capuchon (98) vissé sur l'extrémité du tuyau de raccordement d'aérateur.
     
    5. Robinet mélangeur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la cartouche de mélange (30) est verrouillée axialement dans le corps de robinet par une bague de cartouche (50) raccordée, par exemple par vissage, à l'extrémité supérieure (14) du corps de robinet.
     
    6. Robinet mélangeur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel un capuchon sphérique (44), sur lequel le levier de commande de cartouche (40) est libre de tourner, est raccordé, par exemple par vissage, à la bague de cartouche (40).
     
    7. Robinet mélangeur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le revêtement d'enveloppe est réalisé en un matériau choisi dans le groupe : fibre de carbone, laiton, matériau plastique.
     
    8. Robinet mélangeur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le corps de robinet a une forme sensiblement cylindrique avec une partie inférieure dans laquelle des cavités d'allègement sont réalisées.
     
    9. Robinet mélangeur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel l'extrémité inférieure du corps de robinet (10) est appropriée pour être raccordée, par vissage, à un tube fileté (16) sur lequel une bague de verrouillage (18) est vissée pour fixer le robinet à la surface de support.
