    Description

    Field of the Invention



    [0001] The present invention is related to a slide rail assembly.

    Background of the Invention



    [0002] A slide rail is usually used to support an apparatus, such as a drawer or a server chassis. As cloud technology keeps improving, electronic servers are widely used by enterprise users. However, according to market observation, current server chassis are getting heavier. Generally, a rack for the server is designed to meet industrial standard specifications, such that spaces for mounting the slide rails to two sides of the server are reduced.

    [0003] US patent number US 6, 056, 379 of Weng discloses a sliding track assembly, which includes an outer track having two inner flanges bilaterally and longitudinally provided on the inside, an intermediate track moved in and out of the outer track, an inner track moved in and out of the intermediate track, the inner track having two outer flanges bilaterally and longitudinally provided on the outside, and a transmission mechanism provided at two opposite lateral sides of the intermediate track, the transmission mechanism including a plurality of rolling elements respectively disposed in contact between the inner flanges at the outer track and the outer flanges at the inner track to guide relative movement between the intermediate track and the inner or outer track.

    [0004] US patent number US 9, 155, 386 B2 of Hashemi et al. discloses a slim drawer slide. The case discloses a middle rail with two sides having S-shaped cross sections in order to increase strength of the slide rail. The case is provided for reference.

    [0005] It is important to increase supporting capability of the slide rail and allow the slide rail to be mounted a limited space as well. According to such requirement, the present invention provides a slide rail assembly capable of increasing the supporting capability of the slide rail when compared to relevant background art.

    Summary of the Invention



    [0006] This in mind, the present invention aims at providing a slide rail assembly.

    [0007] This is achieved by a slide rail assembly according to claim 1. The dependent claims pertain to corresponding further developments and improvements.

    [0008] As will be seen more clearly from the detailed description following below, the claimed slide rail assembly comprises a first rail, a second rail and a third rail. The first rail has a first longitudinal body, and a pair of first arms extended from two sides of the first longitudinal body. A first passage is defined by the pair of first arms and the first longitudinal body. Wherein, a first ball raceway is formed on each of the first arms and located within the first passage. The second rail is movable within the first passage of the first rail. The second rail has a second longitudinal body, and a pair of second arms extended from two sides of the second longitudinal body. A second passage is defined by the pair of second arms and the second longitudinal body. Wherein, each of the second arms has a first arm section and a second arm section, a second inner ball raceway is formed on the first arm section, and a second outer ball raceway is formed on the second arm section. The third rail is movable within the second passage of the second rail. The third rail has a third longitudinal body, and a pair of longitudinal supporting structures extended from two sides of the third longitudinal body. Each of the supporting structures comprises a first supporting arm bent from the third longitudinal body and a second supporting arm. Wherein, a third ball raceway is formed on the first supporting arm to face toward the second inner ball raceway of the second rail. The second arm further has a third arm section extended and bent from the second arm section. The third arm section is extended toward the first arm section, and has at least one portion contacting the first arm section.

    Detailed Description



    [0010] FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 are diagrams showing a slide rail assembly 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The slide rail assembly 10 comprises a first rail 12, a second rail 14 and a third rail 16. Wherein, the first rail 12 has a first longitudinal body 18. A pair of first arms 20 is extended respectively from two sides of the first longitudinal body 18. A first passage 22 is defined by the pair of first arms 20 and the first longitudinal body 18. A first ball raceway 24 is formed on each of the first arms 20 and located within the first passage 22.

    [0011] The second rail 14 is movable within the first passage 22 of the first rail 12. The second rail 14 has a second longitudinal body 26. A pair of second arms 28 is extended respectively from two sides of the second longitudinal body 26. A second passage 30 is defined by the pair of second arms 28 and the second longitudinal body 26. Wherein, each of the second arms 28 has a first arm section 32 and a second arm section 34. A second inner ball raceway 36 is formed on the first arm section 32 and located within the second passage 30. A second outer ball raceway 38 is formed on the second arm section 34 and located outside the second passage 30.

    [0012] The third rail 16 (also called slide rail) is movable within the third passage 30 of the second rail 14. The third rail 16 has a third longitudinal body 40. A pair of longitudinal supporting structures 42 is extended respectively from two sides of the third longitudinal body 40. Each of the supporting structures 42 comprises a first supporting arm 44 and a second supporting arm 46. Wherein, a third ball raceway 48 is formed on the first supporting arm 44 to face toward the second inner ball raceway 36 of the second rail 14.

    [0013] Preferably, the slide rail assembly 10 further comprises a first ball assembly 50 mounted between the first ball raceway 24 of the first rail 12 and the second outer ball raceway 38 of the second rail 14 for allowing the second rail 14 to be easily moved relative to the first rail 12.

    [0014] Preferably, the slide rail assembly 10 further comprises a second ball assembly 52 mounted between the second inner ball raceway 36 of the second rail 14 and the third ball raceway 48 of the third rail 16 for allowing the third rail 16 to be easily moved relative to the second rail 14.

    [0015] Preferably, each of the supporting structures 42 of the third rail 16 has a substantially U-shaped cross section.

    [0016] Preferably, the first supporting arm 44 of the third rail 16 is extended from the third longitudinal body 40. The third ball raceway 48 is formed on the first supporting arm 44 with an arc shape.

    [0017] As shown in FIG. 3, in another embodiment of the present invention, a third rail 200 has a third longitudinal body 202. A pair of longitudinal supporting structures 204 is extended respectively from two sides of the third longitudinal body 202 (only one side is shown in the figure). Each of the supporting structures 204 comprises a first supporting arm 206 and a second supporting arm 208. Wherein, the first supporting arm 206 is extended from the third longitudinal body 202, the second supporting arm 208 is extended from the first supporting arm 206, and a third ball raceway 210 is formed on the second supporting arm 208.

    [0018] Preferably, the first supporting arm 44 (or 206) of the third rail 16 (or 200) has at least one portion contacting the second supporting arm 46 (or 208) of the third rail 16 (or 200).

    [0019] Preferably, the third rail 16 (or 200) further comprises a connection part 54 (or 212) extendedly connected between the first supporting arm 44 (or 206) and the second supporting arm 46 (or 208) .

    [0020] Preferably, the second arm 28 further has a third arm section 35 extended and bent from the second arm section 34. The third arm section 35 is extended toward the first arm section 32, and the third arm section 35 has at least one portion contacting the first arm section 32. As such, supporting capability of the slide rail assembly 10 can be further increased.


    Claims

    1. A slide rail assembly (10), comprising:

    a first rail (12) having a first longitudinal body (18), and a pair of first arms (20) extended from two sides of the first longitudinal body (18), a first passage (22) being defined by the pair of first arms (20) and the first longitudinal body (18), wherein a first ball raceway (24) is formed on each of the first arms (20) and located within the first passage (22);

    a second rail (14) movable within the first passage (22) of the first rail (12), the second rail (14) having a second longitudinal body (26), and a pair of second arms (28) extended from two sides of the second longitudinal body (26), a second passage (30) being defined by the pair of second arms (28) and the second longitudinal body (26), wherein each of the second arms (28) has a first arm section (32) and a second arm section (34), a second inner ball raceway (36) is formed on the first arm section (32), a second outer ball raceway (38) is formed on the second arm section (34); and

    a third rail (16) movable within the second passage (30) of the second rail (14), the third rail (16) having a third longitudinal body (40), and a pair of longitudinal supporting structures (42) extended from two sides of the third longitudinal body (40), each of the supporting structures (42) comprising a first supporting arm (44) extended from the third longitudinal body (40) and a second supporting arm (46) bent relative to the first supporting arm (44), wherein each of the supporting structures (42) of the third rail (16) has a substantially U-shaped cross section, a third ball raceway (48) is formed on the first supporting arm (44) with an arc shape to face toward the second inner ball raceway (36) of the second rail (14);

    characterised in that the second arm (28) further has a third arm section (35) extended and bent from the second arm section (34) ;

    wherein the third arm section (35) is extended toward the first arm section (32) and has at least one portion contacting the first arm section (32).


     
    2. The slide rail assembly of claim 1, characterized in that the first supporting arm (44) of the third rail (16) has at least one portion contacting the second supporting arm (46) of the third rail (16).
     
    3. The slide rail assembly of any of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the third rail (16) further comprises a connection part (54) extendedly connected between the first supporting arm (44) and the second supporting arm (46).
     


    Ansprüche

    1. Gleitschienenaufbau (10), welcher umfasst:

    eine erste Schiene (12) die aufweist, einen ersten Längskörper (18), und ein Paar erste Arme (20), das sich von zwei Seiten des ersten Längskörpers (18) erstreckt, eine erste Passage (22), die durch das Paar erste Arme (20) und den ersten Längskörper (18) definiert wird, worin eine erste Kugellaufbahn (24) auf jedem der ersten Arme (20) ausgebildet ist und in der ersten Passage (22) angeordnet ist;

    eine zweite Schiene (14), die in der ersten Passage (22) der ersten Schiene (12) bewegbar ist, worin die zweite Schiene (14) einen zweiten Längskörper (26), und ein Paar zweite Arme (28) aufweist, das sich von zwei Seiten des zweiten Längskörpers (26) erstreckt, worin eine zweite Passage (30) durch das Paar zweite Arme (28) und den zweiten Längskörper (26) definiert wird, worin jeder der zweiten Arme (28) einen ersten Armbereich (32) und einen zweiten Armbereich (34) aufweist, worin eine zweite innere Kugellaufbahn (36) auf dem ersten Armbereich (32) ausgebildet wird, worin eine zweite äußere Kugellaufbahn (38) auf dem zweiten Armbereich (34) ausgebildet wird; und

    eine dritte Schiene (16), die in der zweiten Passage (30) der zweiten Schiene (14) bewegbar ist, worin die dritte Schiene (16) einen dritten Längskörper (40), und ein Paar Längs-Stützstrukturen (42) aufweist, die sich von zwei Seiten des dritten Längskörpers (40) erstrecken, worin jede der Stützstrukturen (42) einen ersten Stützarm (44), der sich von dem dritten Längskörper (40) erstreckt und einen zweiten Stützarm (46) umfasst, der relativ zu dem ersten Stützarm (44) gekrümmt ist, worin jeder der Stützstrukturen (42) der dritten Schiene (16) einen im Wesentlichen U-förmigen Querschnitt aufweisen, worin eine dritte Kugellaufbahn (48) auf dem ersten Stützarm (44) bogenförmig ausgebildet ist, um der zweiten inneren Kugellaufbahn (36) der zweiten Schiene (14) zugewandt zu sein;

    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass

    der zweite arm (28) weiter einen dritten Armbereich (35) aufweist, der sich von dem zweiten Armbereich (34) erstreckt und von diesem gekrümmt ist;

    worin der dritte Armbereich (35) sich zu dem ersten Armbereich (32) erstreckt und mindestens einen Abschnitt aufweist, der mit dem ersten Armbereich (32) in Kontakt kommt.


     
    2. Gleitschienenaufbau nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der erste Stützarm (44) der dritten Schiene (16) mindestens einen Abschnitt aufweist, der mit dem zweiten Stützarm (46) der dritten Schiene (16) in Kontakt kommt.
     
    3. Gleitschienenaufbau nach einem der Ansprüche 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die dritte Schiene (16) weiter ein Verbindungsteil (54) umfasst, das sich erstreckend zwischen dem ersten Stützarm (44) und dem zweiten Stützarm (46) verbunden ist.
     


    Revendications

    1. Ensemble rail coulissant (10), comprenant :

    un premier rail (12) présentant un premier corps longitudinal (18) et une paire de premiers bras (20) s'étendant depuis deux côtés du premier corps longitudinal (18), un premier passage (22) étant défini par la paire de premiers bras (20) et par le premier corps longitudinal (18), un premier chemin de roulement de billes (24) étant formé sur chacun des premiers bras (20) et situé à l'intérieur du premier passage (22) ;

    un deuxième rail (14) mobile à l'intérieur du premier passage (22) du premier rail (12), le deuxième rail (14) présentant un deuxième corps longitudinal (26) et une paire de deuxièmes bras (28) s'étendant depuis deux côtés du deuxième corps longitudinal (26), un deuxième passage (30) étant défini par la paire de deuxièmes bras (28) et le deuxième corps longitudinal (26), chacun des deuxièmes bras (28) présentant une première section de bras (32) et une deuxième section de bras (34), un deuxième chemin de roulement de billes interne (36) étant formé sur la première section de bras (32), un deuxième chemin de roulement de billes externe (38) étant formé sur la deuxième section de bras (34) ; et

    un troisième rail (16) mobile à l'intérieur du deuxième passage (30) du deuxième rail (14), le troisième rail (16) présentant un troisième corps longitudinal (40) et une paire de structures support longitudinales (42) s'étendant depuis deux côtés du troisième corps longitudinal (40), chacune des structures support (42) comprenant un premier bras support (44) s'étendant depuis le troisième corps longitudinal (40) et un deuxième bras support (46) courbé par rapport au premier bras support (44), chacune des structures support (42) du troisième rail (16) présentant une section transversale sensiblement en forme de U, un troisième chemin de roulement de billes (48) étant formé sur le premier bras support (44), en forme d'arc, orienté vers le deuxième chemin de roulement de billes interne (36) du deuxième rail (14) ;

    caractérisé en ce que

    le deuxième bras (28) présente en outre une troisième section de bras (35) s'étendant et courbée depuis la deuxième section de bras (34) ;

    la troisième section de bras (35) s'étendant vers la première section de bras (32) et présentant au moins une partie en contact avec la première section de bras (32).


     
    2. Ensemble rail coulissant selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le premier bras support (44) du troisième rail (16) présente au moins une partie en contact avec le deuxième bras support (46) du troisième rail (16).
     
    3. Ensemble rail coulissant selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que le troisième rail (16) comprend en outre une partie de liaison (54) reliée de manière étendue entre le premier bras support (44) et le deuxième bras support (46).
