(54)MACHINE FOR FORMING AND FILLING A CONTAINER FOR POURABLE PRODUCTS


(57) Machine (9) for forming and filling a container (1) for pourable products and having: a processing conveyor (13), which feeds a strip (12) of wrapping material through a bending station (S1), through a filling station (S2) and through a sealing station (S3); a transfer conveyor (25) provided with a first pocket (26), which is fed along a linear transfer path and receives the container (1) from the processing conveyor (13); a folding drum (27), which is rotary, is provided with a second pocket (29) which receives the container (1) from the transfer conveyor (25), and is provided with folding members (31) to fold triangular wings (8) of bottom walls (4, 5) of the container (1); and a feeding and folding device (30) which picks up the container (1) from the first pocket (26) of the transfer conveyor (25), inserts the container (1) into the second pocket (29) of the folding drum (27), and folds sealing fins of cross seals (7) against respective bottom walls (4, 5) of the container (1) by 90°.
