    Description


    [0001] The present invention relates, in general, to the field of sports garment. More particularly, it relates to swim suits or swim garments for water sports activities and particularly for competition swimming.

    [0002] In the past years, in competitive swimming, very high levels of performance have been achieved thanks to evolved training methods and a specific nutrition which increasingly meet the requirements of the individual physical constitution of the athletes and of the swimming exercise to be performed.

    [0003] On the other hand, in nearly all fields of sports and particularly in swimming, where the body of the athlete moves across a liquid, the efforts to enhance the performances increasingly focus on the development of sports garment which positively influences both the interaction of the athletes body surface with the environment and the physical conditions of the athlete during the competition or sports exercise and training.

    [0004] The development of swim suits and garments focuses mainly on two principal goals, i.e. the reduction of friction between the external surface of the swim suit and the water and a hoop-compression of the muscular structure of the athlete in the region of the legs and body trunk. In order to reduce the friction between the swimmer and the water, several stretchable fabrics with an extremely smooth and water repellent external surface texture (e.g. PTFE coated elastic textiles) have been proposed and successfully used.

    [0005] The hoop-compression of the muscular structure of the swimmer has been aimed to by using swim suits made of stretchable garment material with a comparatively high coefficient of elasticity and by dressing the swimmer with such a small size of swim suit that the consequent stretching of the garment and resulting reaction hoop force result in a radial compression of the swimmer's body trunk and legs. The resulting muscular compression reduces loose muscle totter and prevents the accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles of the swimmer.

    [0006] An exemplary swim suit made of a stretch fabric which addresses the needs of muscle compression, mechanical durability and wear resistance, as well as long term maintenance of the reversible stretch properties has been e.g. described in WO2014016643A of the same applicant. US2009/0038047A1 represents a closest prior art for the claimed invention.

    [0007] Even though the known swimsuits provide generally satisfactory results, they still have some drawbacks. The strong compression applied by the stretch fabric of the swimsuit and the stretch resistance of the stretch fabric itself obstruct or hinder the athlete's torso and legs to flex and move naturally. This is particularly applicable to the torso twist movement necessary for breathing during freestyle swimming, in which the stretch fabric tends to form a cage around the body that prevents the upper torso part from twisting freely with respect to the lower torso part.

    [0008] Such a diffuse and untargeted "cage" - feeling without a purposeful support of specific body parts of the athlete in water, can result in a poor posture and an increased fatigue, particularly towards the end of long distance swim events.

    [0009] The object of the present invention is therefore to provide an improved swimsuit which better addresses at least some of the described needs.

    [0010] These and other objects are achieved by a swimsuit according to the annexed claim 1.

    [0011] The dependent claims refer to advantageous embodiments of the invention.

    [0012] According to an aspect of the invention, a swimsuit, particularly for competition swimming, comprises an outer shell suitable to cover at least part of the body trunk and of the thighs of a swimmer, wherein the outer shell is made of a flexible stretchable fabric adapted to apply a hoop compression to the thighs and to the body trunk, said outer shell forming a tubular trunk portion intended to cover a lower region of the torso of the swimmer and two tubular thigh portions connected with the trunk portion and intended to cover each a region of a respective thigh of the swimmer, characterized in that the swimsuit forms a thorax-hip-tension line continuously connected to the outer shell and having a greater tensile stiffness (expressed in N/cm) than a tensile stiffness of said outer shell alone, wherein the thorax-hip-tension line comprises two anterior portions extending from opposite lateral thoracic regions diagonally downward across an anterior abdominal region, where they intersect in intersecting point, to opposite lateral hip regions, as well as a rear portion extending all around a rear hip region and adjacent lateral hip regions where it merges with the anterior portions to form an intersecting loop.

    [0013] Thanks to the crossing and looped thorax-hip-tension line (or stiffening line), during swimming a "pulling"-effect is created that contributes to lift the hip while the swimmer is horizontal in the water. This lifting effect on the hip helps to keep both the hip and the legs high in the water, to maintain a level and even body position and to avoid the legs lowering or dropping which is a major cause of drag in the water. The thus obtained lifting effect is particularly beneficial when the swimmer is fatigued near the end of a long distance event. According to a further aspect of the invention, a swimsuit, particularly for competition swimming, comprises an outer shell suitable to cover at least part of the body trunk and of the thighs of a swimmer, wherein the outer shell is made of a flexible stretchable fabric adapted to apply a hoop compression to the thighs and to the body trunk, said outer shell forming a tubular trunk portion intended to cover a lower region of the torso of the swimmer and two tubular thigh portions connected with the trunk portion and intended to cover each an upper region of a respective thigh of the swimmer, wherein the swimsuit forms:
    • locally reinforced regions in which the outer shell is provided with an additional reinforcement so that the locally reinforced regions have a greater tensile stiffness (expressed in N/cm) than a tensile stiffness of said outer shell alone, and
    • non-reinforced regions formed by said outer shell alone and having only the tensile stiffness of said outer shell alone,
    characterized in that:
    • the locally reinforced regions comprise a thoracic reinforced region arranged in an anterior thoracic region of the trunk portion and having an anterior-downward converging or tapered shape, and an abdominal reinforced region arranged in a lower abdominal and anterior hip region of the trunk portion and having an anterior-upward converging or tapered shape,
    • the locally non-reinforced regions comprise two non-reinforced waist regions arranged in opposite lateral (inferior thoracic or abdominal) waist regions of the trunk portion 6 and having both a medially converging or tapered shape,
    • the thoracic reinforced region, the abdominal reinforced region and the non-reinforced waist regions are bordering in an "X" shaped pattern in an anterior region of the trunk portion of the swim suit.


    [0014] Thanks to the X pattern of reinforced and non-reinforced anterior regions of the swim suit, a medially narrowed abdominal-thoracic joint region between the thoracic reinforced region and the abdominal reinforced region is formed which isolates the upper and lower body movements and allows the upper body to rotate or twist freely while keeping the lower body and core muscles firm and supported. This minimizes additional rotation or loss of optimum body position in water during a freestyle mid-stroke pivot movement for breathing.

    [0015] These and other features and advantages of the present invention shall be made apparent from the accompanying drawings which illustrate embodiments of the invention, and, together with the general description of the invention given above, and the detailed description of the embodiments given below, serve to explain the principles of the present invention.

    [0016] With reference to the figures, a swim suit 1, particularly for competition swimming, comprises an outer shell 2 suitable to cover at least part of the body trunk 3 and of the thighs 4 of a swimmer 5, wherein the outer shell 2 is made of a flexible stretchable fabric adapted to apply a hoop compression to the thighs and to the body trunk 3.

    [0017] More specifically, the outer shell 2 forms a tubular trunk portion 6 intended to cover a lower region of the torso of the swimmer 5 and two tubular thigh portions 7 connected with the trunk portion 6 and intended to cover each an upper region of a respective thigh 4 of the swimmer 5.

    [0018] In accordance with an aspect of the invention (figures 1, 4, 5), the swimsuit 1 forms a thorax-hip-tension line 44 continuously connected to the outer shell 2 and having a greater tensile stiffness (expressed in N/cm) than a tensile stiffness of said outer shell 2 alone, wherein the thorax-hip-tension line 44 comprises two anterior portions 30, 22 extending from opposite lateral thoracic regions diagonally downward across an anterior abdominal region, where they intersect in intersecting point 27', to opposite lateral hip regions, as well as a rear portion 17 extending all around a rear hip region and adjacent lateral hip regions where it merges with the anterior portions 22 to form an intersecting loop 25'.

    [0020] In accordance with a further aspect of the invention, the swimsuit forms locally reinforced regions 8 in which the outer shell 2 is provided with an additional reinforcement so that the locally reinforced regions have a greater tensile stiffness (expressed in N/cm) than a tensile stiffness of said outer shell 2 alone, and non-reinforced regions 9 formed by the outer shell 2 alone and having only the tensile stiffness of said outer shell 2 alone.

    [0021] In an embodiment (Figures 4, 6), the locally reinforced regions 8 comprise a thoracic reinforced region 39 arranged in an anterior thoracic region of the trunk portion 6 and having an anterior-downward converging or tapered shape, and an abdominal reinforced region 21 arranged in a lower abdominal and hip region of the trunk portion 6 and having an anterior-upward converging or tapered shape. The locally non-reinforced regions 9 comprise two opposite non-reinforced waist regions 40 arranged in opposite lateral (inferior thoracic or abdominal) waist regions of the trunk portion 6 and having both a medially converging or tapered shape. The thoracic reinforced region 39, the abdominal reinforced region 21 and the non-reinforced waist regions 40 are bordering in an X pattern in an anterior region of the trunk portion 6 (figures 1, 4).

    [0022] Thanks to the X pattern of reinforced and non-reinforced anterior regions of the swim suit 1, a medially narrowed abdominal-thoracic joint region 41 between the thoracic reinforced region 39 and the abdominal reinforced region 21 is formed which isolates the upper and lower body movements and allows the upper body to rotate or twist freely while keeping the lower body and core muscles firm and supported. This minimizes additional rotation or loss of optimum body position in water during a freestyle mid-stroke pivot movement for breathing.

    [0023] Advantageously, the abdominal-thoracic joint region 41 may have a width of less than 10cm, preferably less then 7cm or 5cm or 3cm, to result sufficiently narrowed to not hinder the above describe movements.

    [0024] In an embodiment, the abdominal-thoracic joint region 41 can be embodied by the crossing anterior portions 30, 22 of the thorax-hip-tension line 44, or more generally by crossing connecting lines 14 that will be described below.

    [0025] In accordance with a further aspect of the invention, in the locally reinforced regions 8 an additional inner layer 10 of a flexible stretchable fabric is attached from inside to the outer shell 2. The stretchable fabric of the outer shell 2 and the stretchable fabric of the only locally applied inner layer 10 include both woven-in carbon fiber reinforcement, and the stretchable fabric of the outer shell has bi-directionally woven-in carbon fiber reinforcement and anisotropic stretch properties.

    [0026] Thanks to the combination of non-reinforced outer shell 2-only regions 9 and only locally arranged reinforced double-layer regions 8, in which both layers are fiber reinforced and the outer shell layer 2 has a bi-directional fiber reinforcement and anisotropic stretch properties, the swim suit 1 reconciles the contrasting needs of a possibly uniform and intense hoop compression of the athlete's muscles, a generally unrestricted freedom of movement and longitudinal reach of the arm strokes, a possibly accurate conformity with the athlete's body shape and pressure distribution in order to streamline the athlete's body shape, as well as selective additional support of key muscle groups, such as e.g. pectoral muscles, abdominal muscles, lateral thigh muscles or gluteus maximus.

    [0027] In accordance with an embodiment, the bidirectional carbon fiber reinforcement of the outer shell 2 fabric comprises a first group of hoop direction (or, with the athlete standing upright, horizontally) oriented carbon fiber threads 11 and a second group of longitudinally (or, with the athlete standing upright, vertically) oriented carbon fiber threads 12.

    [0028] The hoop oriented carbon fiber threads 11 extend generally parallel to each other at a distance of between 1.5 and 2.5 mm, preferably about 2mm, and the longitudinal carbon fiber threads 12 extend generally parallel to each other at a distance of between 1.5 and 2.5 mm, preferably about 2mm, and perpendicularly to the hoop oriented carbon fiber threads 11.

    [0029] In a preferred embodiment, the hoop oriented carbon fiber threads 11 and the longitudinal carbon fiber threads woven in the outer shell 2 fabric 12 define a 2mm x 2mm squared regular pattern.

    [0032] The outer shell 2 fabric is configured such that its elastic extensibility (expressed in terms of %) in the longitudinal direction is greater than its elastic extensibility (expressed in terms of %) in the hoop direction. This directional anisotropic stretch property of the outer shell 2 fabric combines general uniform hoop compression of the muscles with freedom of longitudinal movement and arm stroke with the stretched fabric being closer to the hoop strain limit than to the longitudinal strain limit.

    [0033] In accordance with an embodiment, the carbon fiber reinforcement of the inner layer 10 fabric is substantially unidirectional in the hoop direction (or, with the athlete standing upright, horizontally) only. The hoop oriented carbon fiber threads of the inner layer 10 fabric extend generally parallel to each other at a distance of between 8 and 10 mm, preferably about 9mm, and there are no longitudinal carbon fiber threads in the inner layer 10 fabric.

    [0053] The reinforced gluteus maximus region 15 and the reinforced abdominal region 21 can be directly bordering and connected to each other and to the outer shell 2, along two downwardly extending connecting lines 31 each of which crosses or overlaps with the loop 26 or, in other words, with a lateral outer portion of the anterior superior connecting line 22 and/or an adjacent lateral outer portion of the posterior superior connecting line 17 such as to form upper anterior hip anchor points 32. The downwardly extending connecting lines 31 also cross or overlap with lateral outer portions of the anterior inferior connecting lines 23 and/or with adjacent opposite lateral outer portions of the posterior inferior connecting lines 20 such as to form lower anterior hip anchor points 33.

    [0054] The downwardly extending connecting lines 31 may advantageously form a section of two continuous anterior stiffening lines 34 extending substantially parallel to a thigh longitudinal axis over the anterior thigh region of each leg portion of the swim suit 1. The anterior stiffening lines 34 may further extend over an anterior lower waist region upward and up into a lateral upper waist region of the swim suit 1.

    1. Swim suit (1), particularly for competition swimming, comprising an outer shell (2) suitable to cover at least part of the body trunk (3) and of the thighs (4) of a swimmer (5), wherein the outer shell (2) is made of a flexible stretchable fabric adapted to apply a hoop compression to the thighs and to the body trunk (3), wherein the swimsuit (1) forms:

    - locally reinforced regions (8) in which the outer shell (2) is provided with an additional reinforcement so that the locally reinforced regions (8) have a greater tensile stiffness than a tensile stiffness of said outer shell (2) alone, and

    - non-reinforced regions (9) formed by the outer shell (2) alone and having only the tensile stiffness of said outer shell (2) alone,

    characterized in that:

    - the reinforced regions (8) comprise a thoracic reinforced region (39) arranged in an anterior thoracic region of a trunk portion (6) of the swim suit (1) and having a downward converging shape, and an abdominal reinforced region (21) arranged in a lower abdominal and hip region of the trunk portion (6) and having an upward converging shape,

    - the non-reinforced regions (9) comprise two non-reinforced waist regions (40) arranged in opposite lateral waist regions of the trunk portion (6) and having both a medially converging shape,

    - the thoracic reinforced region (39), the abdominal reinforced region (21) and the non-reinforced waist regions (40) are bordering in an X pattern in an anterior region of the trunk portion (6).


     
    2. Swim suit (1) according to claim 1, wherein a medially narrowed abdominal-thoracic joint region (41) between the thoracic reinforced region (39) and the abdominal reinforced region (21) has a width of less than 5cm.
     
    3. Swim suit (1) according to any preceding claim, forming a thorax-hip-tension line (44) continuously connected to the outer shell (2) and having a greater tensile stiffness than a tensile stiffness of said outer shell (2) alone, said thorax-hip-tension line (44) comprising:

    - two anterior portions (30, 22) extending from opposite lateral thoracic regions diagonally downward across an anterior abdominal region where they intersect in an intersecting point (27'), and further to opposite lateral hip regions,

    - a rear portion (17) extending all around a rear hip region and adjacent lateral hip regions where it merges with the anterior portions (22) to form an intersecting loop (25').


     
    4. Swim suit (1) according to claim 2 and 3, wherein the abdominal-thoracic joint region (41) formed by the crossing anterior portions (30, 22) of the thorax-hip-tension line (44).
     
    5. Swim suit (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein:

    - in the reinforced regions (8) an additional inner layer (10) of a flexible stretchable fabric is attached from inside to the outer shell (2),

    - the stretchable fabric of the outer shell (2) and the stretchable fabric of the only locally applied inner layer (10) include both woven-in carbon fiber reinforcement,

    - the stretchable fabric of the outer shell (2) has bi-directionally woven-in carbon fiber reinforcement and anisotropic stretch properties.


     
    6. Swim suit (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein an elastic extensibility of the outer shell (2) fabric in a longitudinal direction is greater than an elastic extensibility of the outer shell (2) fabric in a hoop direction, and the carbon fiber reinforcement of the inner layer (10) fabric is substantially unidirectional in the hoop direction only.
     
    7. Swim suit (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein the locally arranged inner layer (10) comprises a plurality of individual inner layer (10) pieces connected to the outer shell (2) along connection lines (14) extending along peripheral edges (13) of the inner layer (10) piece, and without being connected over the entire surface area of the inner layer (10) pieces.
     
    8. Swim suit (1) according to claim 7, wherein the connection lines (14) are selected in the group consisting of:

    - adhesive gluing lines,

    - bonding tape (15) or stripe,

    and/or
    wherein the reinforced regions (8) comprise a reinforced gluteus maximus region (15) in which:

    - a gluteus maximus inner layer (10) piece is shaped and arranged to cover the area of the gluteus maximus and substantially limited thereto,

    - a posterior superior connecting line (17) extending transversally from one lateral side to the opposite lateral side in a superior end region of the gluteus maximus muscle,

    - a posterior medial connecting line (16) extending from the lumbar vertebrae region medially downward into a crotch region,

    - two posterior inferior connecting lines (20) extending from the crotch region rearward, laterally outward and upward,

    and/or
    wherein in said reinforced abdominal region (21):

    - an abdominal inner layer (10) piece is shaped and arranged to cover the area of the lower abdominal muscles and substantially limited thereto,

    - an anterior superior connecting line (22) extending transversally from one lateral side to the opposite lateral side across the abdominal muscle region,

    - two anterior inferior connecting lines (23) extending from the crotch region forward, laterally outward and upward.


     
    9. Swim suit (1) according to claim 8, wherein:

    - two opposite lateral portions (24) of the anterior superior connecting line (22) merge with and continue as lateral end portions of the posterior inferior connecting lines (20) in a manner that the posterior inferior connecting lines (20) and the anterior superior connecting line (22) form a substantially closed loop (25),
    or

    - wherein the anterior superior connecting line (22) forms a medial upwardly oriented cusp from which two opposite lateral portions (24') extend laterally outward and merge with and continue as lateral end portions of the posterior superior connecting line (17) such that the posterior superior connecting line (17) and the anterior superior connecting line (22) form a substantially closed loop (29),
    and/or

    - wherein the reinforced gluteus maximus region (15) and the reinforced abdominal region (21) are directly bordering and connected to each other.


     
    10. Swim suit (1) according to any of claims 7 to 9, wherein the reinforced regions (8) comprise two lateral thigh reinforced regions (36) arranged at a lateral outer thigh region of the wearer and extending diagonally from a superior rear lateral thigh region downward and forward to a lower anterior lateral thigh region,
    wherein an upper posterior edge (37) and a lower anterior edge (38) of the inner layer (10) pieces of the lateral thigh reinforced regions (36) are connected to the outer shell (2) by connecting lines,
    whereas a free upper anterior edge (49) and a free lower posterior edge (50) of the inner layer (10) pieces of the lateral thigh reinforced regions (36) are not connected to the outer shell (2).
     
    11. Swim suit (1) according to claim 10, wherein the free upper anterior edge (49) and the free lower posterior edge (50) are concavely curved.
     
    12. Swim suit (1) according to claim 5, wherein in the thoracic reinforced region (39) the inner layer (10) piece is connected to the outer shell (2) along peripheral edges of the inner layer (10) piece, but not over the entire inner layer (10) surface area, and a free superior edge of the inner layer (10) piece of the thoracic reinforced region (39) is not connected to the outer shell (2).
     
    13. Swim suit (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein the non-reinforced regions (9) comprise:

    - two opposite inner thigh non-reinforced regions (41),

    - two superior anterior thigh non-reinforced regions (42),

    - two inferior posterior thigh non-reinforced regions (43).


     
    14. Swim suit (1) according to claims 8, 12 and 13,

    - wherein the inner thigh non-reinforced regions (41) are directly adjacent to and bordering with the gluteus maximus reinforced region (15), the abdominal reinforced region (21) and the lateral thigh reinforced region (36),

    - wherein the superior anterior thigh non-reinforced regions (42) are directly adjacent to and bordering with the lateral thigh reinforced region (36) and with at least one of the gluteus maximus reinforced region (15) and the abdominal reinforced region (21),

    - wherein the inferior posterior thigh non-reinforced regions (43) are directly adjacent to and bordering with the lateral thigh reinforced region (36).


     
    15. Swim suit (1) according to claim 13, wherein in each tubular thigh portion (7) of the swim suit (1), the inner thigh non-reinforced region (41), the superior anterior thigh non-reinforced region (42) and the inferior posterior thigh non-reinforced region (43) form together an uninterrupted thigh non-reinforced region, with the only exception of the possibly provided stiffening lines (34, 35).
     


    Ansprüche

    1. Badeanzug (1), insbesondere für Wettkampfschwimmen, umfassend eine äußere Hülle (2), welche dazu geeignet ist, wenigstens einen Teil des Körper-Rumpfes (3) und der Oberschenkel (4) eines Schwimmers (5) zu bedecken, wobei die äußere Hülle (2) aus einem flexiblen dehnbaren Gewebe hergestellt ist, welches dazu geeignet ist, eine Reifen-Kompression auf die Oberschenkel und auf den Körper-Rumpf (3) auszuüben, wobei der Badeanzug (1) ausbildet:

    - lokal verstärkte Bereiche (8), in welchen die äußere Hülle (2) mit einer zusätzlichen Verstärkung bereitgestellt ist, so dass die lokal verstärkten Bereiche (8) eine größere Zugsteifigkeit aufweisen als eine Zugsteifigkeit der äußeren Hülle (2) alleine, und

    - nicht-verstärkte Bereiche (9), welche durch die äußere Hülle (2) alleine gebildet sind, und welche nur die Zugsteifigkeit der äußeren Hülle (2) alleine aufweisen,

    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass:

    - die verstärkten Bereiche (8) einen verstärkten Thorax-Bereich (39) aufweisen, welcher in einem anterioren Thorax-Bereich eines Rumpf-Abschnitts (6) des Badeanzugs (1) angeordnet ist und eine nach unten zulaufende Form aufweist, und einen abdominalen verstärkten Bereich (21) umfassen, welcher in einem unteren abdominalen Bereich und einem Hüft-Bereich des Rumpf-Abschnitts (6) angeordnet ist und eine nach oben zulaufende Form aufweist,

    - die nicht-verstärkten Bereiche (9) zwei nicht-verstärkte Taillen-Bereiche (40) umfassen, welche in entgegengesetzten lateralen Taillen-Bereichen des Rumpf-Abschnitts (6) angeordnet sind und beide eine medial zulaufende Form aufweisen,

    - der verstärkte Thorax-Bereich (39), der abdominale verstärkte Bereich (21) und die nicht-verstärkten Taillen-Bereiche (40) in einem X-Muster in einem anterioren Bereich des Rumpf-Abschnitts (6) angrenzend sind.


     
    2. Badeanzug (1) nach Anspruch 1, wobei ein medial verengter Abdominal-Thorax-Verbindungsbereich (41) zwischen dem verstärkten Thorax-Bereich (39) und dem verstärkten abdominalen Bereich (21) eine Breite von weniger als 5 cm aufweist.
     
    3. Badeanzug (1) nach einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei eine Thorax-Hüft-Spannungslinie (44) gebildet ist, welche mit der äußeren Hülle (2) kontinuierlich verbunden ist, und welche eine größere Zugsteifigkeit aufweist als eine Zugsteifigkeit der äußeren Hülle (2) alleine, wobei die Thorax-Hüft-Spannungslinie (44) umfasst:

    - zwei anteriore Abschnitte (30, 22), welche sich von entgegengesetzten lateralen Thorax-Bereichen über einen anterioren abdominalen Bereich diagonal nach unten erstrecken, an welchem sie sich in einem Schnittpunkt (27') schneiden, und weiter zu entgegengesetzten lateralen Bereichen erstrecken,

    - einen hinteren Abschnitt (17), welcher sich vollständig um einen hinteren Hüft-Bereich und benachbarte laterale Hüft-Bereiche erstreckt, wo er mit den anterioren Abschnitten (22) zusammenläuft, um eine schneidende Schlaufe (25') zu bilden.


     
    4. Badeanzug (1) nach Anspruch 2 und 3, wobei der Abdominal-Thorax-Verbindungsbereich (41) durch die kreuzenden anterioren Abschnitte (30, 22) der Thorax-Hüft-Spannungslinie (44) gebildet ist.
     
    5. Badeanzug (1) nach einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei:

    - in den verstärkten Bereichen (8) eine zusätzliche innere Schicht (10) eines flexiblen dehnbaren Gewebes von einer Innenseite an der äußeren Hülle (2) angebracht ist,

    - das dehnbare Gewebe der äußeren Hülle (2) und das dehnbare Gewebe der einzigen lokal angebrachten inneren Schicht (10) beide eine eingelegte Kohlefaser-Verstärkung umfassen,

    - das dehnbare Gewebe der äußeren Hülle (2) eine bidirektionale eingewebte Kohlefaser-Verstärkung und anisotrope Dehnungseigenschaften aufweist.


     
    6. Badeanzug (1) nach einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei eine elastische Dehnbarkeit des Gewebes der äußeren Hülle (2) in einer longitudinalen Richtung größer ist als eine elastische Dehnbarkeit des Gewebes der äußeren Hülle (2) in einer Reifen-Richtung und die Kohlefaser-Verstärkung des Gewebes der inneren Schicht (10) in nur der Reifen-Richtung im Wesentlichen unidirektional ist.
     
    7. Badeanzug (1) nach einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei die lokal angeordnete innere Schicht (10) eine Mehrzahl von Stücken der individuellen inneren Schicht (10) umfasst, welche mit der äußeren Hülle (2) entlang von Verbindungslinien (14) verbunden sind, welche sich entlang von Umfangsrändern (13) des Stücks der inneren Schicht (10) erstrecken, und ohne über den gesamten Flächenbereich der Stücke der inneren Schicht (10) verbunden zu sein.
     
    8. Badeanzug (1) nach Anspruch 7, wobei die Verbindungslinien (14) in der Gruppe ausgewählt sind, bestehend aus:

    - adhäsiven Klebelinien,

    - Klebeband (15) oder Streifen,

    und/oder wobei die verstärkten Bereiche (8) einen verstärkten Gluteus Maximus Bereich (15) umfassen, in welchem:

    - ein Stück einer inneren Gluteus Maximus Schicht (10) geformt und angeordnet ist, den Bereich des Gluteus Maximus zu bedecken und im Wesentlichen darauf begrenzt zu sein,

    - sich eine posteriore superiore Verbindungslinie (17) transversal von einer lateralen Seite zu der entgegengesetzten lateralen Seite in einem superioren Endbereich des Gluteus Maximus Muskels erstreckt,

    - sich eine posteriore mediale Verbindungslinie (16) von dem Lendenwirbelsäulenbereich in einen Schritt-Bereich medial nach unten erstreckt,

    - sich zwei posteriore inferiore Verbindungslinien (20) von dem Schritt-Bereich nach hinten, lateral nach außen und nach oben erstrecken, und/oder wobei in dem verstärkten abdominalen Bereich (21):

    ein Stück einer abdominalen inneren Schicht (10) geformt und

    angeordnet ist, um den Bereich der unteren abdominalen Muskeln zu bedecken und im Wesentlichen darauf begrenzt zu sein,

    - sich eine anteriore superiore Verbindungslinie (22) transversal von einer lateralen Seite zu der entgegengesetzten lateralen Seite über den abdominalen Muskelbereich erstreckt,

    - sich zwei anteriore inferiore Verbindungslinien (23) von dem Schritt-Bereich nach vorne, lateral nach außen und nach oben erstrecken.


     
    9. Badeanzug (1) nach Anspruch 8, wobei:

    - zwei entgegengesetzte laterale Abschnitte (24) der anterioren superioren Verbindungslinie (22) mit lateralen Endabschnitten der posterioren inferioren Verbindungslinien (20) in einer Weise zusammenlaufen und als diese fortlaufen, dass die posterioren inferioren Verbindungslinien (20) und die anteriore superiore Verbindungslinie (22) eine im Wesentlichen geschlossene Schlaufe (25) bilden,
    oder

    - wobei die anteriore superiore Verbindungslinie (22) einen medial nach oben orientierten Scheitel bildet, von welchem sich zwei entgegengesetzte laterale Abschnitte (24') lateral nach außen erstrecken und mit lateralen Endabschnitten der posterioren superioren Verbindungslinie (17) derart zusammenlaufen und als diese fortlaufen, dass die posteriore superiore Verbindungslinie (17) und die anteriore superiore Verbindungslinie (22) eine im Wesentlichen geschlossene Schlaufe (29) bilden,
    und/oder

    - wobei der verstärkte Gluteus Maximus Bereich (15) und der verstärkte abdominale Bereich (21) direkt aneinander angrenzend und miteinander verbunden sind.


     
    10. Badeanzug (1) einem der Ansprüche 7 bis 9, wobei die verstärkten Bereiche (8) zwei laterale verstärkte Oberschenkel-Bereiche (36) umfassen, welche an einem lateralen äußeren Oberschenkel-Bereich des Trägers angeordnet sind und sich von einem superioren hinteren lateralen Oberschenkel-Bereich zu einem unteren anterioren lateralen Oberschenkel-Bereich diagonal nach unten und nach vorne erstrecken, wobei ein oberer posteriorer Rand (37) und ein unterer anteriorer Rand (38) der Stücke der inneren Schicht (10) der lateralen verstärkten Oberschenkel-Bereiche (36) mit der äußeren Hülle (2) durch Verbindungslinien verbunden sind,
    wohingegen ein freier oberer anteriorer Rand (49) und ein freier unterer posteriorer Rand (50) der Stücke der inneren Schicht (10) der lateralen verstärkten Oberschenkel-Bereiche (36) nicht mit der äußeren Hülle (2) verbunden sind.
     
    11. Badeanzug (1) nach Anspruch 10, wobei der freie obere anteriore Rand (49) und der freie untere posteriore Rand (50) konkav gekrümmt sind.
     
    12. Badeanzug (1) nach Anspruch 5, wobei in dem verstärkten Thorax-Bereich (39) das Stück der inneren Schicht (10) mit der äußeren Hülle (2) entlang von Umfangsrändern des Stücks der inneren Schicht (10) verbunden ist, aber nicht über den gesamten Flächenbereich der inneren Schicht (10), und ein freier superiorer Rand des Stücks der inneren Schicht (10) des verstärkten Thorax-Bereichs (39) nicht mit der äußeren Hülle (2) verbunden ist.
     
    13. Badeanzug (1) nach einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei die nicht-verstärkten Bereiche (9) umfassen:

    - zwei entgegengesetzte innere nicht-verstärkte Oberschenkel-Bereiche (41),

    - zwei superiore anteriore nicht-verstärkte Oberschenkel-Bereiche (42),

    - zwei inferiore posteriore nicht-verstärkte Oberschenkel-Bereiche (43).


     
    14. Badeanzug (1) nach Ansprüchen 8, 12 und 13,

    - wobei die inneren nicht-verstärkten Oberschenkel-Bereiche (41) direkt dem verstärkten Gluteus Maximus Bereich (15), dem verstärkten abdominalen Bereich (21) und dem lateralen verstärkten Oberschenkel-Bereich (36) benachbart und an diese angrenzend sind,

    - wobei die superioren und anterioren nicht-verstärkten Oberschenkel-Bereiche (42) dem lateralen verstärkten Oberschenkel-Bereich (36) und wenigstens einem aus dem verstärkten Gluteus Maximus Bereich (15) und dem verstärkten abdominalen Bereich (21) direkt benachbart und zu diesen angrenzend sind,

    - wobei die inferioren posterioren nicht-verstärkten Oberschenkel-Bereiche (43) dem lateralen verstärkten Oberschenkel-Bereich (36) direkt benachbart und zu diesem angrenzend sind.


     
    15. Badeanzug (1) nach Anspruch 13, wobei in jedem röhrenförmigen Oberschenkel-Abschnitt (7) des Badeanzugs (1) der innere nicht-verstärkte Oberschenkel-Bereich (41), der superiore anteriore nicht-verstärkte Oberschenkel-Bereich (42) und der inferiore posteriore nicht-verstärkte Oberschenkel-Bereich (43) zusammen einen ununterbrochenen nicht-verstärkten Oberschenkel-Bereich bilden, mit der einzigen Ausnahme der möglichen bereitgestellten Versteifungslinien (34, 35).
     


    Revendications

    1. Maillot de bain (1), en particulier pour la natation de compétition, comprenant une étoffe extérieure (2) adaptée pour recouvrir au moins une partie du tronc du corps (3) et des cuisses (4) d'un nageur (5), dans lequel l'étoffe extérieure (2) est faite d'un tissu souple extensible adapté pour appliquer une compression circonférentielle aux cuisses et au tronc du corps (3), dans lequel le maillot de bain (1) forme :

    - des régions localement renforcées (8) dans lesquelles l'étoffe extérieure (2) est pourvue d'un renforcement supplémentaire de sorte que les régions localement renforcées (8) présentent une rigidité en traction supérieure à une rigidité en traction de ladite étoffe extérieure (2) seule, et

    - des régions non renforcées (9) formées par l'étoffe extérieure (2) seule et ayant juste la rigidité en traction de ladite étoffe extérieure (2) seule,

    caractérisé en ce que :

    - les régions renforcées (8) comprennent une région renforcée thoracique (39) agencée dans une région thoracique antérieure d'une partie tronc (6) du maillot de bain (1) et ayant une forme convergeant vers le bas, et une région renforcée abdominale (21) agencée dans une région abdominale inférieure et des hanches de la partie tronc (6) et ayant une forme convergeant vers le haut,

    - les régions non renforcées (9) comprennent deux régions non renforcées de ceinture (40) agencées dans des régions latérales de ceinture opposées de la partie tronc (6) et ayant toutes deux une forme convergeant dans une direction médiane,

    - la région renforcée thoracique (39), la région renforcée abdominale (21) et les régions non renforcées de ceinture (40) sont attenantes selon un motif en X dans une région antérieure de la partie tronc (6).


     
    2. Maillot de bain (1) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel une région rétrécie dans une direction médiane de jointure abdominale-thoracique (41) entre la région renforcée thoracique (39) et la région renforcée abdominale (21) a une largeur de moins de 5 cm.
     
    3. Maillot de bain (1) selon une quelconque revendication précédente, formant une ligne de traction thorax-hanche (44) reliée de manière continue à l'étoffe extérieure (2) et ayant une rigidité en traction supérieure à une rigidité en traction de ladite étoffe extérieure (2) seule, ladite ligne de traction thorax-hanche (44) comprenant :

    - deux parties antérieures (30, 22) s'étendant à partir de régions thoraciques latérales opposées diagonalement vers le bas à travers une région abdominale antérieure où elles se croisent en un point d'intersection (27'), et plus loin vers des régions latérales opposées de hanche,

    - une partie arrière (17) s'étendant tout autour d'une région de hanche arrière et de régions de hanche latérales adjacentes où elle s'unit avec les parties antérieures (22) pour former une boucle croisée (25').


     
    4. Maillot de bain (1) selon la revendication 2 et 3, dans lequel la région de jointure abdominale-thoracique (41) est formée par les parties antérieures croisées (30, 22) de la ligne de traction thorax-hanche (44).
     
    5. Maillot de bain (1) selon une quelconque revendication précédente, dans lequel :

    - dans les régions renforcées (8) une couche intérieure supplémentaire (10) d'un tissu souple extensible est fixée depuis l'intérieur à l'étoffe extérieure (2),

    - le tissu extensible de l'étoffe extérieure (2) et le tissu extensible de la couche intérieure appliquée uniquement localement (10) comprennent tous les deux un renforcement de fibres de carbone incorporé par tissage,

    - le tissu extensible de l'étoffe extérieure (2) a un renforcement de fibres de carbone incorporé par tissage bidirectionnel et des propriétés d'extension anisotrope.


     
    6. Maillot de bain (1) selon une quelconque revendication précédente, dans lequel une extensibilité élastique du tissu de l'étoffe extérieure (2) dans une direction longitudinale est supérieure à une extensibilité élastique du tissu de l'étoffe extérieure (2) dans une direction circonférentielle, et le renforcement de fibres de carbone du tissu de la couche intérieure (10) est sensiblement unidirectionnel uniquement dans la direction circonférentielle.
     
    7. Maillot de bain (1) selon une quelconque revendication précédente, dans lequel la couche intérieure agencée localement (10) comprend une pluralité de pièces individuelles de couche intérieure (10) reliées à l'étoffe extérieure (2) le long de lignes de liaison (14) s'étendant le long de bords périphériques (13) de la pièce de couche intérieure (10), et sans être reliées sur la totalité de la superficie des pièces de couche intérieure (10).
     
    8. Maillot de bain (1) selon la revendication 7, dans lequel les lignes de liaison (14) sont sélectionnées dans le groupe consistant en :

    - des lignes de collage par adhésif,

    - un ruban ou une bande de liage (15),

    et/ou
    dans lequel les régions renforcées (8) comprennent une région renforcée de muscle grand glutéal (15) dans laquelle :

    - une pièce de couche intérieure de muscle grand glutéal (10) est façonnée et agencée de sorte à recouvrir la zone du muscle grand glutéal et sensiblement limitée à celle-ci,

    - une ligne de liaison postéro-supérieure (17) s'étendant transversalement à partir d'un premier côté latéral au côté latéral opposé dans une région d'extrémité supérieure du muscle grand glutéal,

    - une ligne de liaison postéro-médiane (16) s'étendant de la région des vertèbres lombaires vers le bas dans une direction médiane jusqu'à une région d'entrecuisse,

    - deux lignes de liaison postéro-inférieures (20) s'étendant de la région d'entrecuisse vers l'arrière, vers l'extérieur dans un sens latéral et vers le haut,

    et/ou
    dans lequel dans ladite région renforcée abdominale (21) :

    - une pièce de couche intérieure abdominale (10) est façonnée et agencée de sorte à recouvrir la zone des muscles abdominaux inférieurs et sensiblement limitée à celle-ci,

    - une ligne de liaison antéro-supérieure (22) s'étendant transversalement d'un premier côté latéral au côté latéral opposé à travers la région des muscles abdominaux,

    - deux lignes de liaison antéro-inférieures (23) s'étendant à partir de la région d'entrecuisse vers l'avant, vers l'extérieur dans un sens latéral et vers le haut.


     
    9. Maillot de bain (1) selon la revendication 8, dans lequel :

    - deux parties latérales opposées (24) de la ligne de liaison antéro-supérieure (22) s'unissent avec et continuent en tant que parties d'extrémité latérales des lignes de liaison postéro-inférieures (20) d'une manière telle que les lignes de liaison postéro-inférieures (20) et la ligne de liaison antéro-supérieure (22) forment une boucle sensiblement fermée (25),
    ou

    - dans lequel la ligne de liaison antéro-supérieure (22) forme une pointe médiane orientée vers le haut à partir de laquelle deux parties latérales opposées (24') s'étendent vers l'extérieur dans un sens latéral et s'unissent avec et continuent en tant que parties d'extrémité latérales de la ligne de liaison postéro-supérieure (17) de telle sorte que la ligne de liaison postéro-supérieure (17) et la ligne de liaison antéro-supérieure (22) forment une boucle sensiblement fermée (29),
    et/ou

    - dans lequel la région renforcée de muscle grand glutéal (15) et la région renforcée abdominale (21) sont attenantes et reliées l'une à l'autre directement.


     
    10. Maillot de bain (1) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 7 à 9, dans lequel les régions renforcées (8) comprennent deux régions latérales renforcées de cuisse (36) agencées au niveau d'une région latérale extérieure de cuisse de l'utilisateur et s'étendant diagonalement à partir d'une région latérale supérieure arrière de cuisse vers le bas et vers l'avant jusqu'à une région latérale inférieure antérieure de cuisse.
    dans lequel un bord postéro-supérieur (37) et un bord antéro-inférieur (38) des pièces de la couche intérieure (10) des régions latérales renforcées de cuisse (36) sont reliés à l'étoffe extérieure (2) par des lignes de liaison,
    tandis qu'un bord antéro-supérieur libre (49) et un bord postéro-inférieur libre (50) des pièces de la couche intérieure (10) des régions latérales renforcées de cuisse (36) ne sont pas reliés à l'étoffe extérieure (2).
     
    11. Maillot de bain (1) selon la revendication 10, dans lequel le bord antéro-supérieur libre (49) et le bord postéro-inférieur libre (50) sont incurvés de manière concave.
     
    12. Maillot de bain (1) selon la revendication 5, dans lequel dans la région renforcée thoracique (39) la pièce de couche intérieure (10) est reliée à l'étoffe extérieure (2) le long de bords périphériques de la pièce de couche intérieure (10), mais pas sur la totalité de la superficie de la couche intérieure, et un bord supérieur libre de la pièce de couche intérieure (10) de la région renforcée thoracique (39) n'est pas relié à l'étoffe extérieure (2).
     
    13. Maillot de bain (1) selon une quelconque revendication précédente, dans lequel les régions non renforcées (9) comprennent :

    - deux régions non renforcées de cuisse intérieures opposées (41),

    - deux régions non renforcées de cuisse antéro-supérieures (42),

    - deux régions non renforcées de cuisse postéro-inférieures (43).


     
    14. Maillot de bain (1) selon les revendications 8, 12 et 13,

    - dans lequel les régions non renforcées de cuisse intérieures (41) sont directement adjacentes et attenantes à la région renforcée de muscle grand glutéal (15), la région renforcée abdominale (21) et la région latérale renforcée de cuisse (36),

    - dans lequel les régions non renforcées de cuisse antéro-supérieures (42) sont directement adjacentes et attenantes à la région latérale renforcée de cuisse (36) et d'au moins l'une de la région renforcée de muscle grand glutéal (15) et de la région renforcée abdominale (21),

    - dans lequel les régions non renforcées de cuisse postéro-inférieures (43) sont directement adjacentes et attenantes à la région latérale renforcée de cuisse (36).


     
    15. Maillot de bain (1) selon la revendication 13, dans lequel dans chaque partie de cuisse tubulaire (7) du maillot de bain (1), la région non renforcée de cuisse intérieure (41), la région non renforcée de cuisse antéro-supérieure (42), et la région non renforcée de cuisse postéro-inférieure (43) forment ensemble une région non renforcée de cuisse ininterrompue, à la seule exception des lignes de raidissement éventuellement fournies (34, 35).
