(54)MULTI-LAYER COATING FOR A FLOW SURFACE OF AN AIRCRAFT COMPONENT


(57) A component (26) is provided for an aircraft (10). This aircraft component (26) includes an object (30) and a multi-layer coating (32). The object (30) includes an object surface (34). The multi-layer coating (32) includes a barrier layer (40) and a laminar flow layer (42). The barrier layer (40) covers at least a portion of the object surface (34). The barrier layer (40) includes a fluoropolyether, a silicon rubber and/or a polyurethane. The laminar flow layer (42) covers the barrier layer (40) and forms an exterior surface (28) of the component (26). The laminar flow layer (42) includes a sol-gel siloxane, a rare-earth oxide and/or a phosphate.
