(54)HIGH VISIBILITY TERMINATION SYSTEM AND METHOD


(57) A system to be installed on or in a pipe comprises a heat trace cable and a lighted cable termination assembly (100). The lighted cable termination assembly comprises a stand (104) configured to be supported by the pipe with the stand extending upwardly from the pipe. The stand is configured to receive, through a lower opening, an end of the heat trace cable. The lighted cable termination assembly also comprises a lighted end cap device (102) coupled to the stand and configured to be coupled to the heat trace cable. The lighted end cap device includes a lens (152) having a proud surface that extends radially outside of a perimeter of the stand, and a plurality of light emitting components (402) disposed under the lens and powered by the heat trace cable so that the lens provides, through the proud surface, illumination from a plurality of viewing angles as viewed from an underside of the pipe.
