(57) An electrical connector assembly (100) comprises a plurality of contacts (10) removably
mounted in densely packed cavities (73) of a connector housing (70), each cavity having
a contiguous keyway slot (74) and oppositely inwardly facing shoulders (75,76). Each
contact (10) includes a resilient tine (20) having an edge (21) for engaging the rear
shoulder (76) to prevent withdrawal from the cavity, a locator key (30) adapted to
be received in the keyway slot (74) and for orienting the tine and engaging the forward
shoulder (75) to limit inward placement of the contact in the cavity and a rolled
shoulder (40) having an installation abutment surface (41) at the rear (14) end of
the sleeve, proper orientation of the tine allowing dense packing of the cavities
and their associated contacts.
