Protective internal coating for restoring underground metal tanks and process for
its application |
(57) The invention consists of a protective internal coating for restoring underground
metal tanks or any other tank subject to attack of aggressive agents, said coating
consisting of a structure of alternate layers of an epoxy resin paint and a fabric
cloth of fiberglass or polymers with high elasticity modulus, on which a final overlay
of vitrifying paint is applied, so as to form an internal shell having chemical and
mechanical features independent from those of the tank, and eliminating leakage of
the tank contents.
