(57) In an apparatus in which a video signal can be reproduced from a magnetic tape that is transported with different tape speed from that in recording, such as slow or still reproducing mode, and the reproducing video signal and an input video signal can be alterfiatively supplied to an output terminal at every predetermined number of field intervals, there is provided a circuit for controlling a time axis of the input video signal so as to be substantially equal to the time axis of the reproduced video signal.
