(57) A parking post 115 comprising a container 110 having an opening therein and a post 115 projecting said opening and moveable between a first position when substantially the whole of the post 115 resides within the container 110 and a second position when a portion of the post 115 projects upwardly from the opening in the container 110, the container 110 being located in use below the ground such that the opening is approximately level with the surface of the ground.
