Direct reduction process using shaft furnace |
(57) A direct reduction process using a vertical furnace is disclosed in which iron ore
(including lump ore and pellets) charged in the furnace is previously treated with
a cement coating applied to the surface of the ore. The cement may be Portland cement
and is used in a quantity within a predetermined range.
