Hard surface cleaning and compositions therefor |
(57) Salts of compounds of formula X′OCOCH₂CH(CO₂X˝)SO₃H in which one of X′ and X˝ is
a hydrogen atom and the other is a group of formula ROX- in which R is an alkyl or
alkylphenyl group having 8 to 18 carbon atoms and X is a polyalkylene glycol residue
comprising 0.5 to 5 alkylene oxide residues which preferably comprise propylene oxide
and ethylene oxide residues in a molar ratio of 0 to 2.5:1 are suitable for use as
skin-protective agents in hard surface cleaning applications.
