    (57) A silver halide photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the silver halide photographic material contains at least one compound represented by the following general formula (I):

    wherein A, and A2 each represents a hydrogen atom or one of them represents a hydrogen atom and the other represents a sulfonyl group or

    (wherein Ro represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group or an aryloxy group; and t represents 1 or 2); Time represents a divalent linking group; t represents 0 or 1; FA represents a moiety of a nucleating agent or a development accelerating agent; V represents a carbonyl group,

    a sulfonyl group, a sulfoxy group,

    (wherein R represents an alkoxy group or an aryloxy group), an iminomethylene group or a thiocarbonyl group; and R represents an aliphatic group, an aromatic group or a heterocyclic group.
