Silver halide emulsion and silver halide photographic light sensitive material |
(57) Disclosed is a silver halide emulsion comprising a dispersion medium and silver halide
grain which contain;
(a) tabular-shaped silver halide grains having an aspect ratio within the range of
3.0 to 7.0, occupy at least 50 % of the whole projective area of the silver halide
grains in the emulsion; and
(b) hexagonal tabular-shaped silver halide grains each bearing even number of the
twinned crystal faces parallel to a principal face having a maximum adjacent side
ratio within the range of 2.0 to 1.0, occupy at least 70 % of the whole projective
area of the silver halide grains wherein said tabular-shaped silver halide grains
have a grain-size variation coefficient within the range of 21 to 29 % and a thickness
variation coefficient of not more than 20 %. A silver halide photographic light sensitive
material according to this invention is improved both in image-sharpness and pressure
characteristics.
