(54) Led lamp diffusing a multicolor light

(57) A lamp comprises a support (2) bearing a body (3) from which there is an emission of light, said body (3) containing at least a light-emitting diode or led, preferably a microled, which is associated with a light-filtering means suitable to modify at least partially its color, at least a part of said body (3) being light-transparent, so as to allow the multicolor light rays emitted by the led and filtered by the filtering means to come out, this allowing the use of the lamp for lighting and decorating purposes.

Description

[0001] The object of the present invention is a lamp according to the preamble of the main claim.

[0002] Lamps (by this term it being meant any product having a light source provided with a support) which are used for lighting or decorating an environment through the emission of colored light have been known for some time.

[0003] The object of the present invention is to provide a lamp which allows the emission of a light, suitable for lighting and, at the same time, decorating the environment where the lamp is placed.

[0004] A further object is to provide a lamp of the type cited above, which allows the emission of a light having at least two different colors.

[0005] Still a further object is to provide a lamp of low energy consumption, which is easy to realize and which requires relatively low costs.

[0006] These and other objects, which will appear evident to the expert in the art, are attained through a lamp according to the claims attached hereto.

[0007] For a better understanding of the present invention, the following drawing is herein enclosed, exclusively for illustrating the invention without limiting it:

fig. 1 shows a cross-sectional view of a lamp according to the invention;

figure 2 shows an enlarged view of the part marked with an A in figure 1;

figure 3 shows a prospective view of the upper part of the lamp of figure 1, some parts thereof being omitted and others being transparent, for clarity's sake.

[0008] With respect to the cited figures, a lamp according to the invention is generically referred to as 1 and comprises a support 2 and a body 3, from which there is an emission of light. The body 3, in the example, is placed in the upper end (with respect to figure 1) of the support 2; this latter comprising a supporting base 4.

[0009] The support 2 comprises an inner cavity 8 which is open in proximity of the base 4, where a closing device 9, for example a screw-closing device, is provided. The cavity 8 is suitable to contain, preferably, one or more batteries (which are not shown) which to feed at least a light source S present in the body 3. The electric energy provided by the batteries (or by other energy accumulator) is transferred to said light source through ordinary conductors (which are not shown) inserted in the support 2 and the body 3. For example, at least a conductor is provided in a cavity 11 standing above the cavity 8 cited above, which, through sliding contact means associated with an end portion 12 of the support 2, can contact the corresponding sliding contact means associated with an end portion 14 of the body 3 coupled to the portion 12 cited above. This applies when the body 3 can be rotated on the support 2; in this case, the cooperation between the contact means cited above takes place only when said body is rotated in a particular position on the support.

[0010] Obviously, the body 3 can be fed in a different, per se known, way, for example by connection with a fixed electrical network, or by connecting though cables the battery or batteries with the light source in the body 3. Analogously, interrupting means can be provided to activate or not the feeding to the source.

[0011] The light source S comprises, in the embodiment of the figures, a plurality of light-emitting diodes or leds 15 and 16 associated with corresponding opposite faces 17 and 18 of a flat supporting element 19, on which printed (not shown) electrical connections are present. The leds 15 and 16 are associated (and electrically connected) with said element 19 (or printed circuit) in any known way. The leds 15 and 16 are per se known microleds and can generate a monochromatic light, or the leds 15 emit a light: of one color, whereas the leds 16 generate a light of a different color. In the first case, a means 20 is provided in front of the leds 16, which filters the light produced by said leds and which is suitable to modify their color. Said means is of a per se known type and will not be further described.

[0012] The means 20 and the element 19 are placed into a cavity 22 of the body 3 and are linked to this latter in a per se known way (for example stuck). In a just as known way, the electric connections of the element 19 are connected to the electric contact means of the body 3: for example, element 19 is connected with electrical conductors (not shown), connected with the areas 23 and 24 of said element.

[0013] The cavity 22 has a diamond-studded or prismatic wall 22A for better diffusing the light through the body 3. At least a part of the latter is at least partially light-transparent and bears a closing device 27 (which is also at least partially light-transparent) placed above the cavity 22 and coupled to the body 3, for example by bayonet screwing coupling.

[0014] Thanks to the peculiar conformation of the light source S and the presence of the filtering means 20, a light is emitted from the body 3 comprising a plurality of light rays emitted in different space directions and exhibiting different colors. For example, the led 15 emits a white light which comes out from the upper part of the body 3, whereas the light emitted by the leds 16 is filtered to become a blue light emitted on the lower and side parts of said body.

[0015] Obviously, nothing prevents to realize the source S by means of leds 15 and 16 of different colors in order to obtain the same result disclosed above of an emission of light of different colors from different parts of the body 3. Another embodiment, finally, provides a single led 15 and 16 in front of which there is provided the means 20 suitably realized in such a way as to filter and color only one part of the light emitted by the led .
