[0001] The invention refers to a refrigerator box with an access opening which is located
in a substantially horizontal plane and is closable by a lid, the walls of the box
being formed by an inner shell of plastic, an outer shell of plastic and a heat insulation
of foam plastic located between the walls, and an evaporator of a refrigerating apparatus
being arranged to cool goods in the storage space of the box. A refrigerator box according
to the preamble of claim 1 is known from DE-A-30 22 463.
[0002] The object of the invention is to arrange the evaporator in a simple way so that
it will be in direct cooling contact with the space for the goods, will not intrude
on the said space and will form a smooth transition to the wall of the space.
[0003] This object is reached through the refrigerator box according to claim 1.
[0004] An embodiment of a refrigerator box according to the invention is described below
in connexion with the enclosed drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows a view of the box without
a lid seen from above, Fig. 2 shows a sectional view according to the marking II-II
in fig. 1, and Fig. 3 shows a sectional view according to the marking III-III in fig.
2.
[0005] By 10 is designated a box constituted by an inner shell 12 and an outer shell 14.
The shells 12 and 14 are joined to each other in a horizontal part 16, which surrounds
an access opening 18 of the box and forms a contact surface for a sealing 20 of a
lid 22. A cavity between the shells, which are made of e.g. polyethylene, is filled
with a heat insulating plastic foam 24, e.g. polyurethane.
[0006] A rectangular window 26 is taken up in one vertical side 28 of the inner shell 12.
An evaporator 30, which has the shape of a rectangular plate, is mounted in an impression
32 running around the edge of the window, so that the surface 34 of the evaporator,
which faces a storage space 36 for goods in the box, is located in the same plane
as and forms a smooth transition to the side 28. A sealing 38 is arranged between
the impression 32 and the edge of the evaporator for preventing humidity from moving
through the joint between the window 26 and the evaporator 30. The evaporator, which
can be of aluminium of so-called roll-bond type, is by means of not shown refrigerant
conduits connected to a refrigerating apparatus of compression or absorption type.
[0007] After the sealing 38 and the evaporator 30 have been placed in the window, the cavity
between the shells 12 and 14 is filled with the plastic foam, which after hardening
adheres to the rear side 40 of the evaporator 30 and keeps the evaporator on place
in the box.
1. Refrigerator (10) box with an access opening (18), the walls of the box being formed
by an inner shell (12) of plastic, an outer shell (14) of plastic and a heat insulation
of foam plastic (24) located between the walls, and an evaporator (30) of a refrigerating
apparatus being arranged to cool goods in the storage space (36) of the box, wherein
a window (26) is taken up in a vertical side (28) of the inner shell (12), and the
evaporator (30), which has the shape of a plate and covers the window (26) is mounted
in an impression (32) of the edge of the window, and sealing means (38) are arranged
between the impression (32) and the edge of the evaporator for preventing humidity
from moving through the joint between the window (26) and the evaporator (30), the
foam plastic (24) adhering to the rear side (40) of the evaporator (30) and keeping
the evaporator on place in the window (26),
characterized in that the access opening is located in a substantially horizontal plane and is closable
by a lid (22), and that the evaporator (30) covers the window (26) on the side of
the inner shell facing the storage space, and that the evaporator (30) is mounted
in the impression (32) of the edge of the window so that the surface (34) of the evaporator
(30) facing the storage space (36) is located in the same plane as and forms a smooth
transition to said vertical side (28).
2. Refrigerator box according to claim 1, characterized in that the window (26) and the evaporator (30) have rectangular shape.

Gehäuse (12) aus Kunststoff, einem äußeren Gehäuse (14) aus Kunststoff und einer Wärmeisolierung
aus Schaumstoff (24), welche zwischen den Wänden angeordnet ist, ausgestaltet, und
einem Verdampfer (30) einer Kühlvorrichtung, der derart angeordnet ist, um die Güter
in dem Lagerraum (36) der Box zu kühlen, wobei ein Fenster (26) in der vertikalen
Seite (28) des inneren Gehäuses (12) aufgenommen ist, und der Verdampfer (30), welcher
die Form einer Platte aufweist und das Fenster (26) überlagert, in einer Vertiefung
(32) am Rand des Fensters montiert ist, und Dichtungsmittel (38) zwischen der Vertiefung
(32) und dem Rand des Verdampfers (30) angeordnet sind, um zu verhindern, dass Feuchtigkeit
zwischen der Verbindung des Fensters (26) und des Verdampfers (30) austritt, der Schaumstoff
haftet an der Rückseite (40) des Verdampfers (30) an und hält den Verdampfer (30)
in seiner Position im Fenster (26), dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zugangsöffnung (18) in einer im Wesentlichen horizontalen Ebene angeordnet und
durch einen Deckel (22) verschließbar ist und dass der Verdampfer (30) das Fenster
(26) auf der in Richtung des Lagerraums weisenden Seite des inneren Gehäuses überlagert
und dass der Verdampfer (30) in der Vertiefung (32) am Rand des Fensters (26) montiert
ist, so dass die in Richtung des Lagerraums (36) weisende Oberfläche (34) des Verdampfers
(30) in derselben Ebene angeordnet ist und einen glatten Übergang zu der vertikalen
Seite (28) bildet.
2. Kühlbox nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Fenster (26) und der Verdampfer (30) eine rechtwinklige Form aufweisen.

(38) sont disposés entre l'empreinte (32) et le bord de l'évaporateur pour empêcher
l'humidité de pénétrer à travers le joint entre la fenêtre (26) et l'évaporateur (30)
coller la mousse plastique (24) sur la face arrière (40) de l'évaporateur (30) et
maintenir l'évaporateur en place dans la fenêtre (26), caractérisée en ce que l'ouverture d'accès est située dans un plan sensiblement horizontal et peut être
obturée par un couvercle (22) et en ce que l'évaporateur (30) recouvre la fenêtre (26) sur le côté de la coque intérieure faisant
face à l'espace de stockage, et en ce que l'évaporateur (30) est monté dans l'empreinte (32) du bord de la fenêtre de sorte
que la surface (34) de l'évaporateur (36) en regard de l'espace de stockage (36) est
situé dans le même plan et forme une transition douce avec ledit côté vertical (28).
2. Glacière selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la fenêtre (26) et l'évaporateur (30) ont une forme rectangulaire.
