(57) According to the present invention, a medal-operated gaming machine is provided such
that the medal-operated gaming machine comprises a data writing/reading means for
writing at least one kind of initial data of the game and history data of the game
into a medal with a built-in IC chip (a built-in-IC-chip medal) and/or for reading
at least one kind of initial data of the game and history data of the game from the
built-in-IC-chip medal, a medal insert mean for making it possible to insert the medal
in order to start and/or progress the game, and a medal distribution mean for paying
out the medal by receiving the information that the predetermined condition is satisfied
while the game is progressed. The gaming machine may give the player much fun because
various values are assigned to medals to enhance amusement of the game.
