OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0001] As expressed in the title of the present specification, the present invention refers
to a modular system for opening automatic elevator doors, which implies for elevator
installers or wholesalers enough capacity so as to place orders under stock instead
of by order, to keep a minimum stock, since it is not necessary to store specific
parts for opening the door in a certain direction.
[0002] Disposing of a reversible door opening system eliminates numerous references reducing
the circulating stock and facilitating manufacturing.
[0003] For the purpose of reducing stock and standardizing manufacturing, the system permits
itself to be modular. Many of the parts of the driving part as well as of the driven
part can be used, depending on the accessories that are installed therein.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0004] Nowadays it is frequent to find cases wherein mistakes are made in estimating the
composition of the stock of these types of parts, especially in the opening direction,
depending on whether opening is to the left or to the right, that cause delays and
in turn orders with excessively short manufacturing time. These short times cause
noteworthy changes in the product manufacturing plan.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0005] In broad outline, the modular system for opening automatic elevator doors, object
of the invention, refers to automatic sliding doors for elevators, wherein the following
act:
- The landing door which provides access to the elevator car from the stopping areas
of the elevator and which are a driven part.
- The elevator car door that prevents access to the elevator shaft from the car and
that upon being motorized acts as a driving part thereof and of the landing door.
[0006] It is a modular type system for opening doors, which means that starting from a common
main core the system can become a driving part as well as a driven part, depending
on the type of modules that are assembled.
[0007] It consists of a motorized conveying mechanism of the leaves of the elevator car,
wherein all the parts that comprise it serve to carry out the opening conveyance to
the right as well as to the left, without the need to provide and/or replace any one
of them, but rather everything depends on the position and how assembly is done.
[0008] The mechanism for opening the landing door is driven by the conveyance of the leaves
of the elevator door. Most of the parts that comprise it, specifically the main module
that will be described hereinafter, serve to carry out the conveyance for opening
to the right or to the left.
[0009] The main module consists of a system for guiding on a single rail, used for leaves
of an elevator car upon being assembled therein, as well as for the leaves of the
landing door assembled in the frame of the door.
[0010] The system for conveying between leaves of the very same door is based on a hoisting
block, there being some supports for fastening the leaves of the door to the mechanism
of the corresponding main module. The guide rail itself can optionally have channels
that facilitate the fastening of the peripheral modules.
[0011] Another module that we call the locking module defines a system that is coupled to
the main module for the purpose of causing the locking of the leaves and preventing
them from opening from outside the elevator shaft when the elevator car is not on
that floor level. The locking system is connected to the main module fastened to the
frame of the landing door. Connection is made by means of some fastening that define
supports for fastening to the rail.
[0012] This locking module has elements that permit the coupling of the driving part in
the locking. This driving system is the one that operates the doors of the elevator
car, as we will see hereinafter.
[0013] Finally, the motorization module materializes a system that is coupled to the main
module for the purpose of carrying out the opening and closing movement of the leaves
of the door of the elevator car and in turn it drives and carries out the opening
and closing of the leaves of the landing doors on the floor where the elevator car
is located. This module consists of a motorization device and a conveying device in
order to cause the opening of the landing door.
[0014] In order to provide a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention
and forming an integral part of this specification, some sheets of drawings in whose
figures the following has been represented in an illustrative and non-characteristic
manner, are attached.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0015]
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the main module defined by the rail for sliding
the leaves and the fastening supports for suspension thereof, that form part of the
modular system for opening automatic elevator doors, according to the invention.
Figure 2 is a profile view of that which has been shown in figure 1 from the right
part thereof.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of a main module according to figure 1, that also includes
the locking module in order to keep the leaves motionless when the elevator car is
not located opposite the landing door. There are supports for fastening to the frame
of the landing door. This locking module is also shown in a detailed view of this
same figure 3.
Figure 4 is a perspective view of the motorization module (top part of the figure)
that is to be connected to the main module assembled in the elevator car. This elevator
car includes the conveying device in order to cause the opening of the landing door
(shown in perspective in the bottom part of the figure). In the center part and just
as the arrows show, the assembled assembly is seen.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0016] Making reference to the numbering used in the figures, we can see how the modular
system for opening of automatic elevator doors, that the invention proposes, includes
a rail (1) whereon the suspension wheels (2) of the leaves of the door slide, as shown
in figure 1. The system for conveying said leaves, comprised of the support (3) and
the pulleys (4) of the hoisting block device, is also assembled on this rail (1),
for movement between the leaves of the very door itself.
[0017] The supports for fastening the leaves of the doors of the elevator car and landing
doors are referred to as numbers (5) and (6).
[0018] Figure 2 shows a profile view, the assembly of these parts referred to up to now
and that comprise the main module, since all the parts are common, the part for the
sliding of the doors of the elevator car as well as the part for the landing doors.
Figures 1 and 2 also show the series of longitudinal wings that the rail (1) has,
referred to as number (7) and forming C-shaped rails that facilitate assembly of the
peripheral modules.
[0019] The locking module is generally referred to as number (8) in figure 3 and the module
is shown in a separate detailed view with respect to the main module corresponding
to figure 1. And it is also assembled in the corresponding place thereof. Reference
(9) designates the supports that materialize the system for fastening to the frame
of the landing door.
[0020] The locking module (8) has the purpose of causing the locking of the leaves and of
preventing them from opening from the outside of the elevator shaft when the elevator
car is not at that floor level.
[0021] Now making special reference to figure 4, the motorization module, generally referred
to as number (10) is shown therein and that occupies the top position of this figure.
It includes a structure (11) that is coupled to the main module corresponding to figure
1, in order to be able to carry out the opening and closing movement of the leaves
of the door of the elevator car. The connection to the elevator car is done by using
the structure itself (11) and the leaves of the elevator car connect to the corresponding
supports (5) and (6) of the main module, allowing the sliding movement thereof by
the rolling support of the wheels (2) on the guide (1) profile.
[0022] The mechanism for opening the landing door is a part driven by the conveying device
generally referred to as number (12) and that is assembled on the supports (5) of
the main module of the elevator car, allowing the coupling to the locking module (8)
and in this way it being possible to convey at the same time the leaves of the landing
door.
[0023] With this arrangement of the component parts shown in the figures, where symmetric
parts and parts common to the guiding systems of the elevator car doors and the landing
doors, act. It is understood that the result of the connection of the main module
and the motorization module (8) involves a mechanism that does not need to replace
parts, so that it is possible to actuate the doors of the elevator car in the opening
direction contrary to the one that is defined at that moment.
[0024] In order for the system for opening doors to be capable of actuating landing doors
in the opening direction contrary to the one defined at that time, it is not necessary
either to replace any of the parts described in the main module, but rather they only
need to be assembled in the place suitable to the desired movement.
