Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The invention refers to displays for exhibiting tiles and other ceramic pieces, comprising rotating rectangular panels.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] There are known numerous types of displays, especially the ones used for displaying tiles, ceramic pieces, parquet, stone and other products likely to be displayed in rotating rectangular panels to make it easier for potential buyers to see both faces of the elements shown.

[0003] The rotating movement is performed around an ideal axis defined in each panel by pivots located at the ends of the lower side of the respective rack, aligned in their extension.

[0004] The pivots are inserted in both aligned bores existing in the upper and lower structural elements of the display, which typically adopt a trapezoidal configuration, with the equal non-parallel sides forming acute angles with the base.

[0005] The end panels of the display are rigidly joined, using any conventional method, to the bottom rack thereof, arranged in a parallel way to said equal non-parallel sides of the upper and lower elements, thus the extension of its respective planes forming an ideal right dihedral angle.

[0006] The displays known, which have the characteristics described, use as support means in the use position (vertical panels) the three planes forming the structure holding the display: bottom rack and end panels. Therefore, they lack certain stability when faced with the mechanical demands derived from the rotating movements of the panels, which forces some models to complement the support means, for example, using a central standing base.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0007] The invention refers to a structure for displays as defined in the claims.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0008] The following is a brief description of a series of drawings which will help understand the invention better expressly relating to an embodiment of said invention which is presented as a non-limiting example thereof. These views show the freestanding module where display elements such as flapping panels can be applied.

[0009] Figure 1A shows an elevation view, figure 1C shows a plan view and figure 1B shows a profile of any right module; in the symmetrical one it only changes for the arrangement of the mitre.

[0010] Figure 1D shows an isometric explosion view of the module without panels where the structure can be seen. In this case, there are two rectangular boards as lateral support, but it is also possible to use a metallic rectangular or triangular frame or any other element offering the same support.

[0011] Figure 1E shows an isometric view with panels. In this case, it is a rigid board on which holes have been drilled in both opposite end edges, so that at the top, a welded bolt is inserted which has the crossbeam of the structure so as to pivot at the top and at the bottom, besides this bolt, it has a round plug to rest on the edge of the board and serve as supporting element and bearing and enable the board to always stay inside the upper bolt. In this way, the structure is reversible (the lower part can be changed for the upper part and vice versa).

[0012] In all cases of panels for this structure as regards common characteristics, it must be noted that the panels having elements for display (preferably ceramic) consist of the same rigid display element, without needing to have another frame structure holding the display supports.

[0013] A second embodiment of the invention is shown in figures 2A-2J, where it can be seen the application of this structure for a panel which in this case incorporates a supporting/pivoting device, which is used at the top and at the bottom. It is a tubular profile from which part of its upper face has been eliminated and in which it has been welded a threaded bolt, which is inserted in the crossbeam of the structure in its corresponding equidistant threads, without blocking so that the panel can pivot freely at least 90°. At the bottom, it is used on one face and at the top on the other so that the panel rests at the bottom, and at the top it fits in a groove of the display panel holding the pieces. These pieces can have washers to facilitate the rotation when pivoting.

[0014] A third embodiment of the invention is shown in figures 3A-3K. This embodiment comprises an injection piece having an overhang which is inserted in the appropriate holes of the crossbeam; it also has a neck as a washer. The arrangement is similar to the previous embodiment. In this case, the piece can also have a passing hole to incorporate the bolted joint or pin. The mechanism by which the panel is supported is a leverage one.

[0015] Figures 4A-4D show the structure with triangular sides and a detail, in figure 4E, of an arm between the lower pivots of the panels which works as a limit/separator. This arm rotates from its end in the structure and accompanies the panel so that the notches do not bump into one another. It has a round limit as a shock absorber separator.

[0016] Figures 4F-4G show other embodiments of the structure by repetition or symmetry, showing that they can be grouped joining together several simple structures to form larger ones.

[0017] Figures 5A-5D show the structure with a rod acting as support in which the panel to be displayed is fixed and embraced. Figures 5E-5G show the support and panel which lever up the assembly to obtain a rigid structure which supports itself and pivots at the same time.

[0018] Figures 6A-6B show two specific structures, one with two panel floors and another one with a high panel and intermediate hook, shown in figure 6C, through a flat steel, shown in figure 6E, so that it fits in a mechanization of the intermediate panel. The lower pivot, shown in figure 6D can be like the ones shown in figures 2G-2J, a tubular profile, or in 3G-3K, an injection piece.

[0019] A fourth embodiment of the invention is shown in figures 7A-7F, where it is shown the application of this structure for.a panel which in this case incorporates an upper/lower pivoting support. It is a round tubular profile which has some windows which are inserted in an area of upper/lower edge next to a corner of the display panel as tongue and groove. The lower pivoting support is the same as the upper one, to which a flange has been added, said flange in turn serving as support of the display panel in the lower edge and as a limit in the insertion of the lower pivoting support in its corresponding hole, and support-slip in the rotation of the display panel. At the same time the upper edge of the panel has a molding to avoid the bumping of the samples and thus always keep a minimum distance.

[0020] A fifth embodiment of the invention is shown in figures 8A-8G, where it is shown the application of this structure for a display panel directly supported without using additional support. To that end, the display panel is embraced by the upper edge between two cylindrical plugs which have a support or U-shaped hole where the upper corners of the display panel are inserted, later passing at the back through the holes of the plug a rod which is tightened through nuts, the assembly being fixed to the display panel. This plug has a perimeter recess which is inserted in the inner edge of the upper supporting means, acting the recess as a tread when the display panel rotates. Besides, to complete the application, in one of the lower corners there is another cylindrical plug, as lower support, with a U-shaped recess where a lower edge of the display panel is housed. The cylindrical plug as lower support has a pivot to insert in the lower hole of the lower supporting means where the display panel is inserted, to act as rotating support.
